Luckily the most trusted Re:Zero leaker said he found out today Re Zero season 5 was already green lit a while ago behind the scenes so it could be sooner than expected! I’m hoping for 2 years at most to wait🙏

I feel like the dragon has some kind of dementia.

I didn’t know you’d been watching the Break Time episodes. Might have been nice to see your reactions to those. It was hundreds of years ago and he’s not around to ask about it but it’s pretty certain that the guy who founded the country Anastasia comes from was from Japan. He introduced a lot of Japanese traditions to his country and some of them have spread to other countries. Sort of like wherever you go there is a Starbucks or McDonalds.

Season 1 of Re:Zero cut some content that revealed someone else was from Japan. A season 3 Break Time episode included this reveal. In the novels Subaru has known pretty much since he met the person because they used expressions only someone from Japan would know the meaning of.

Every episode and every season its a battle not to start reading the light novels.

What happened to Satella 400 years ago was actually revealed by Echidna in s2 but for some mind boggling reason the information was cut from the anime. Crazy considering how crucial it is and how anime watchers were supposed to know this from s2. What I’m about to write is cut content from s2 so not really a spoiler but choose of your own volition if you want to read or not: back in s2 during the tea party Echidna reveals to Subaru that Satella wasn’t evil at all, and actually isn’t evil even now: 400 years ago she acquired the Envy witch factor somehow, but she wasn’t compatible with it at all and her mind broke into 2 different personalities: Satella and the witch of Envy. Unfortunately the witch of Envy personality went on a rampage so the party of heroes sealed her. The one that appears and destroyes everything is the witch of Envy, that can only say “I love you” over and over; while the one who appeared at the tea party in s2 had a whole conversation with Subaru, help him realize the people around him care about him and ultimately asked him to come and kill her is the actual Satella. The fact that Satella wants to be killed confirms for me that she’s not evil at all, and that since she can’t control the witch of Envy she wants to be killed, so that she can’t hurt anyone else.

Also, Subaru knows all this, that’s why when Satella asked him to come and kill her he responded “I swear I’m gonna save you” and why in this season when the witch shows up he uses the pronoun “it” because he knows that not really Satella, but the other personality is in charge.

OMG... That shaula scene just made me cry just like it did when I read it... She actually became my favorite character when I read it... Also, it was shown previously but not expressed well in the anime. Stella and the witch of envy are two different personalities.

I was reading the novels at the same time as I was watching season 2 and thought it was a pretty glaring omission to leave out the split personality detail. However funnily enough I saw a few anime only YouTube reactors who picked up on the split personality from context clues in the anime. EDIT: I think what was shown happening to Petelgeuse’s mind when he absorbed the Witch Factor helped clue some people in.

It's probably worth/relevant to remember, it was Subaru who named Patrasche, so she didn't have the name before
