Still not syncing. Are you watching this at a slower speed or can you tell us where you are streaming from. Ive tried streaming sherlock on YouTube and Apple TV and it just doesn't align. Making these reactions unwatchable.

I think they've just got a slow streaming speed on their ISP. I've tried every service I have too (Amazon, Hulu, YouTube) and it doesn't sync with any of them. They say HBO Max but I have that and don't see it available in the US. I just pause every few minutes to let them catch up.

Which actually, if they're streaming on HBO Max through a VPN bouncing off a server in another country, that'd definitely explain the slow down.

Yeah I have to pause too. But because the video is blurred it makes it hard to notice when we are out of sync.

Interesting. Its not available on the service in Australia but I still thought it should sync up. I wonder how it's slowing down without affecting the stream quality. I'm not that technical though to understand that part.

If they're using a VPN, they're connecting first to a server in another country which is then connecting to the content on the site within that country and then bouncing that content back to them. Because it's a relayed network rather than a direct connection, it slows down the access speed which in turn slows the video. It wouldn't be enough of a delay for them to notice it as they watch, but it is noticeable when watching their relayed reaction versus a direct access on our own computer.
