Farewells are so hard but man when Who does it right they are some of the greatest stories put to film. The full circle of our time with River is bittersweet but after losing Clara The TARDIS brought him exactly where he needed to go. He regenerated in to Peter because he wanted to look his age and losing Clara was the therapy he needed to finally “grow up” and have the strength to say goodbye to River. There is only one Christmas episode I put above this but we’re not there yet so now it’s time to start my absolute favorite season of Doctor Who new and classic, period. So glad I stumbled on your channel and having the chance to relive others experiencing for the first time.

Ok so not sure if you realised but this essentially finishes River’s storyline permanently. It closes the loop that we first started in Silence in the Library all the way back in Series 4. The next time River sees the Doctor is in the library where he meets her for the first time. If you remember River has a sonic screwdriver in that story which we see the Doctor give her in this episode. I suggest you and Rekkai rewatch that Series 4 story as a reaction as it’s wild how much future events are referenced in the dialogue. River mentioned the singing towers of Darillium in her death scene

To anyone in the playlist confused like me: this episode is posted twice. The other link works, ignore this one. 😊
