I think the initial hatred for Jodie stemmed from the fact that Capaldi was sacked to allow a female Doctor to be put in place.

NMD were out in force, doctor who is ruined, no bras in the TARDIS, what next Jane Bond? All before a single scene was filmed. And no Capaldi wasn't sacked, he left on his accord.

Chibnall wanted a female Doctor. What was he going to do put a dress on. He had been a massive fan since childhood so he wasn't going to just give it up.

Capaldi was already leaving so Chibnall wanting a female doctor had nothing to with that. I mean his era was bombing so maybe he was sacked after all. Though there is no evidence of that.

There's evidence somewhere because I read it. If he didn't resign or let go with Chibnall wanting a female Doctor how do you think series 11 was going to pan out. Wanting a female Doctor was not a spare of the moment decision.

I love lots of Murray Gold's work, especially with Moffat. But I really love the work of Segun Akinola (SAY-gun A-kin-O-la), too. He has a totally different approach to composition and a very different understanding of the role of the soundtrack, it seems. (Check out 13's first moments after regeneration in 12's TARDIS, but scored with Akinola's music instead of Gold's: https://youtu.be/vqWPzZy4vVA ) There's a really nice 5-minute interview with Segun, intro to him and his music, done when season 11 started: https://youtu.be/paZDXlUprMo

So two things, I love what you guys do anyway but seeing you enjoy this era is bringing extra joy :) And, do you remember the film An adventure in space and time that you watched before the 50th Anniversary? Sacha was in that! He was the director alongside Verity when the show started which now means the main three characters in that film have all now been in Doctor Who! Verity (Jessica Raine) was the psychic in the episode 'Hide', David Bradley obviously carried on playing the first Doctor and now Sacha has arrived! Talk about timey wimey....

The way I see the Master's development from Missy is through the lens of relapse. Missy made the resolute decision to stand with the Doctor, only to be stabbed in the back by herself and left to die alone. This taught the Master that, to quote an oft used proverb, no good deed goes unpunished and that trying to be better only gets them killed.
