Time to wrap up an era..... Easily my favorite Jodie ep and one of my favorite NuWhos! (Syntell, your sports analogy is quite apt!) There are about 10 eps I can watch forever and this is one! And what's next....WOW.....

I’m impressed you all were able to not get the ending of this spoiled. Congratulations!!! The next 3 episodes up to Ncuti’s first season I really enjoy. But I’m so glad you two enjoyed Jodie and Sacha. As a classic Who fan, I so appreciated all the guest appearances. It honestly tears me up in a good way. In the companions anonymous meeting, you see Katie Manning, who played Jo Grant/Jo Jones, who was with the Third Doctor in the early 1970s. All of those actors have been staples at Doctor Who conventions for years, and inevitably get asked ‘if the new showrunner called you up, would you play your character again?’ Which is why I was so glad for them.

P.S. Sacha is THE Master for me, Classic to Eternity! And Rekkai, you *have* seen him in another role: he was the BBC Doctor Who director in the Who origin story docudrama Space/Time! And one of my favorite scenes is when Kate gives that "Who, me?" look to Jodie: clearly she's been waiting her whole life to get a TARDIS ride!

My favourite era finished, and my favourite Doctor. She should have regenerated into Ncuti and nobody can change my mind. The writing was good, and the stories were good. Segun was different to Gold, and like the whole era, brought a fresh take to the show which was needed after the repetitiveness of Moffat's writing. Jodie and Mandip were brilliant, and I am enjoying their Big Finish.

Every Who fan should experience this regen I'm so happy it wasn't spoiled! I went NUTS at the time lol I didn't hear or see anyone who knew about DT so the person who said it leaked... it couldn't have been that bad cause that's the first time I've heard it did! So Ncuti was named as the new doctor before this episode aired....so when DT shows up you think you're confused...how do you think we felt! lol But I still remember to this day how insane I went when he showed up. Also props to Jodie for being the first Doctor to regen OUTSIDE the Tardis and not blow it up on their way out.... I love Jodie, she was an amazing Doctor, the writing did let her down sometimes but there is so much good stuff and a lot of good episodes over her era and I'm so happy you enjoyed her run, I certainly did! And Rekkai gets it too, even if you think this is a 'weaker' era if you're a fan of the show you still appreciate it all because it's still overall going to be good, if you're tuning out or turning off cause of a few episodes then you need to look at yourself as how much of a fan you are lol

Love, love you guys reaction at the the doc's change! I've been waiting to see your reactions. As you said my daughter, her boyfriend.and myself saw it when it aired and just like you two we were all left with our mouths open and almost fell off our chairs.😉 There was so much crazy speculation on what was going to happen next. All I can say is hang on for the ride😆

Oh, I ment to add we likes Jodie too. I think she did a real good job as Dr. Who and we thought all the controversy at the time was ridiculous, why couldn't or wouldn't the Dr become a women? 🤔😅
