The River Tam Sessions here: https://youtu.be/2V040BT0NkM?si=Htw3l5aSCI-fBT79 "The Packs" as closed-captioning would have it - She's referring to The Pax, the virus that created the Reavers. It made me think that she was reading the thoughts of the doctors/torturers she was meeting with at the school, and worked it out - and blocked it, by the time she'd met the crew of Serenity (and why she was reacting the way she was once on Miranda !) The very first session is so heartbreaking, seeing the brilliant and adorable River Tam, thinking she was about to live her dream; no premonition of the nightmare her life would be turned into :-( Thank goodness for the movie a few years later. Thanks for this today!
