i've been waiting for this episode all week! i didn't think this would top the fifth one but was every fan out there in for a surprise! All of these cameos! Ahsoka! Luke again! CAD BANE from the Clone Wars show! this was quite a treat!

Amber, After watching this and the desert aspect of the Star Wars galaxy being revisited, I highly recommend getting into Firefly (a space Western set in the distant future: yr. 2517) which is somewhat like Boba Fett. Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Gina Torres as space outlaws… nothing gets better, lol

the chest's contents was spice (a drug), not sand since it was lying on the dunes and you compare its color to the sand, then it's understandable as to how you would think it looks like sand

the hut that the ant droids are building will be part of the academy that luke will run in the events before the sequel trilogy his nephew, ben solo, will be one of his first students grogu leaving the jedi way behind saved his skin because as you might remember, ben solo sacked that academy and burned it, along with killing several other fellow students

luke skywalker wasn't recast, per se his face was deepfaked onto a stand-in and in actual fact, the guy kind of does look like 1970s-80s mark hamill so that actor in particular was cast well mark was on set for reference takes they did a much better job with the deepfaking this time; the other work didn't age that well

I love Ahsoka. She says she's a friend of the family. Her Jedi Master was Anakin Skywalker. I also liked her comment "So much like your father". I think you would like the Ahsoka series. Cad Bane is a top bounty hunter for hire. He was in the Clone Wars series. What would I have Grogu chose? I hope for both. I do know the answer of course, but we thought that since he would live to be 900 years old, He could train as a jedi after Din Djarin grows old and passes on.

Think about the Pyke Syndicate as a cartel. The contents of the box was a drug called "Spice." You'll hear it mentioned in various Star Wars series. The Pyke's are one of the larger syndicates in the Star Wars Universe. Also, Mark Hamil is reprising his role as Luke Skywalker, it isn't a different actor. They de-aged Hamil with technology the same way they de-aged Samuel Jackson in the Captain Marvel movie.
