Oh wow. I literally started watching this last week. I made it about 35 minutes into the movie, and gave up because it was so bad. 😆 I suppose I will give it another go, hopefully watching it with Amber will be better. Tyty Miss Amber

Daniel Johnston

Ross had to be recast for this film due to the passing of the original actor. I think they did well.

Thomas McGlinchey

Based on having watched all the MCU movies in theaters before spoilers leak… I think this was the movie that turned their direction back around to Endgame level ramp up. I enjoy Mackie as Cap, but he still feels like he is adjusting to being the lead in the MCU

Thomas McGlinchey

Amber has been doing a lot of Giancarlo Esposito recently, between Mando and now Cap: BNW…

Gene Frank

Aloha Amber, since I know you like Ringo, "Caveman" (1981) is a slapstick comedy film starring Ringo Starr as Atouk. He met and married Barbara Bach, the love of his life and is still married today, 45 years. Can I watch this with you? 💕 ✌️

B. Alex

Amber, you are awesome-sauce. That's it. That's the tea. 😊 💖

SGT Rock's Headbangers Ball

Yeah, no. This movie sucks donkey balls. The rest is just details. - SGT Rock PS-I'm pissed I slept through the live chat with ya. Damnitall. Being sick sucks ass!

Jason Kennebrew

I’m not going to lie. You might need to watch this with another person to make it watchable.

Richard C

You’re probably right. I’ve had many movies I could not sit through on my own. Add this one to the list. Same thing with Spider-Man and Doctor Strange Multiverse movies 🤷

Ben Martin

I don’t have much to say about this movie, but I am glad this means you’re going to get to Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four! I saw the new Spider-Man this weekend and you’re gonna love that one whenever you get to it too

James Reinle

You should watch Agents of Shield! you will love it, and want to binge the series. I agree with your view on the Eternals.

SkyLucy

Have you considered the show 'Supernatural'?

Dale Sands

Dont think you've seen the 1st. Hulk (with Eric Bana & Jennifer Connelly), it's HOW he becomes Hulk. You watched the 2nd. one 1st.

Dennis Fawcett

Fans often say Buffy is a richer character than ANY in Marvel because her supernatural duties are a direct metaphor for real-world teenage and adult struggles. Her stories focus deeply on personal growth, emotional trauma, and messy relationships rather than just saving the world from cosmic threats. Which she does a lot

Theo Harris

Marvel Currently has 38 movies made. There track record is pretty good so far.

Patt SanKings

Thought it was at 8pm central...

Marc Lamoureux

I saw this in the theater...wasn't sure about it going in, but wound up liking it more than I thought I would. With Thunderbolts, I wasn't sure what to expect, but wound up loving it more than this, for me mainly because of the familiar face or two that reappeared. I think your apprehensions will be lessened! I thought there was a fair amount of laughs in it, too. Ruth was played by Shira Haas, an Israeli actress that stands a TOWERING 4'11" 😅 So...out of Israel we have this little lady, then Gal Gadot at 5 foot 10! Sterns was NOT played by Denis O'Hare of AHS & True Blood fame. The guy's name is Tim Blake Nelson. He played the same role way back in the '08 Ed Norton Hulk. Speaking of Bucky, if you want a great, raunchy comedy, you should check out The Bronze (2016), with Melissa "Bernadette" (Big Bang Theory) Rauch and Sebastian "Bucky" Stan.

SGT Rock's Headbangers Ball

I looked, haven't seen it go live, so I guess I'm ass out on that one. Ah well...there's always another one.

MadeByMali

Thunderbolts is great. Like GREAT. Probably my favorite mcu film post endgame excluding the new spiderman

Karl Kraus

what rubbed audiences the wrong way was that this was all just a really unnecessary sequel to a part of the MCU no one really thought about for 17 years so people who didn't know what happened in the incredible hulk weren't drawn to this Another misstep was the marketing; the red hulk was given away in the trailer so we all knew he was eventually going to appear Plus, making us wait until the last 20 minutes didn't allow the time for the revelation to sink in enough the celestial husk was also finally given a new way to be part of another MCU plot and it only took 4 years after Eternals this was a sloppy but gallant attempt to continue the captain america chain but it just fell flat Ross being recast with harrison ford was great though

Karl Kraus

adamantium, if you remember, is the material that wolverine's claws are made of i've always wondered how it compares to vibranium

Karl Kraus

thunderbolts is actually LOADS better than this movie the story is better, the chemistry, the writing, the character development i guarantee you'll change your apprehension to delight when you've seen it

Karl Kraus

i think this was finished shooting before the controversy surrounding jonathan majors (kang the conqueror from ant man 3) started making its way through the press so, the end credit scene with sterns warning sam about "the others" was another signpost pointing to the emergence of kang's variants crashing through the MCU dimension kang was still the planned big bad for the multiverse saga but disney didn't want to associate with an alleged domestic abuser so they changed to doctor doom (being played by robert downey jr) He will make his abrupt but still very much anticipated debut in avengers: doomsday, coming out later this christmas

Karl Kraus

i'm glad you agree there have been a fair share of duds in this saga you're right to say captain marvel is not that great in hindsight; THE marvels was even worse, almost unwatchable Eternals was a misfire; only thing going for it was the visuals and it's also one of the movies that will have NO follow-up on whatsoever so that was a big waste of money and time for everyone Thor 4 was also mid if not meh; trying to replicate or even top the third's humor messed with the story big time ant man 3 tried to be good but just couldn't is all i'll say about that one black widow in my opinion felt like more of an obligation to make than a necessary piece to the overall narrative of the multiverse saga; it doesn't carry much weight anymore that was made up for a little bit by bringing back natasha's "sister" and "father" in thunderbolts the 2nd doctor strange movie has become more and more frustrating the longer we wait for him to return to the big screen and the same goes for shang-chi Both were supposed to return during the kang-avengers showdown but the story had to be changed because of doctor doom being brought in as the new big bad saga villain I think strange was going to have a big fight with doom but he was probably pushed back to avengers 6, coming christmas 2027 At least shang-chi wasn't pushed back too deadpool and wolverine - you say that's your favorite movie now but i personally and respectfully say it's just a fan-service type of flick, especially if you like to have your funnybone tickled every few passages of lines that are said you know it's fan service when you see wesley snipes as blade again, as well as chris evans as the human torch from the fantastic four it had no bearing to the overall saga at all, not that i could see when will wolverine come back this time? the multiverse has become an excuse for movie executives to bring back classic but overused characters and it's getting old "Logan" was supposed to be his swan song and this just cheapened it And people say bringing palpatine back in star wars 9 was a sour taste in the mouth As for the streaming shows, the bad ones i have seen are she-hulk, secret invasion, echo, ms. marvel (due to it's story being wasted), ironheart (because of it not being too important for the time being), moon knight (again, going nowhere) and hawkeye (more of a holiday treat than a significant piece) The rest were good to ok

Michael Griffin

Can't remember just when this was, but at some point in the comics in the 70's Alicia Masters sculpted a life-size adamantium statue of the Hulk using (IIRC) a vibranium blade. Adamantium is an alloy and is basically just super durable -- as in, the Hulk is generally unable to dent it, though the did once punch a hairline crack in Ultron's adamantium body, allowing the Wasp to slip inside. Vibranium isn't an alloy, but a metal of its own that exists in two isotopes. The Wakandan variety absorbs vibrations -- so it's a super shock/impact absorber in Cap's shield -- and the Antarctic variety produces vibrations of a particular wavelength that causes any other metal to liquefy, so it can in effect cut through any other metal like butter.

Michael Griffin

3:35 Yes, Ross has had a long and burning hatred for the Hulk. No, the Abomination is a different Hulk-like character. 24:00 Huge. The introduction of adamantium into the MCU, where it previously only existed in the Fox X-Men franchise. 1:41:00 Well, tiny orange Hulk *is* wrecking the White House. This movie was prophetic.

Derder

This one took me a while to be able to watch to completion. I'm actually not mad at any of the actors, the way I see it, they did the best with what they were given, it's just what they were given was crap. The script and dialog for this one in places just hurts to listen to.

Slothlyke

21:40 Note to myself: Don't play eerie music in case I ever propose to someone. IMO the movie was okay and enjoyable, but felt like a letdown compared to the Epicness of other MCU movies. However, Sam stopping the flagpole with his bare hands was a big issue for me, since doesn't have the serum and the wings are the kinetic energy transformers and this should have crippled him AFAIK XD. But then again it's said that his whole suit came from the Wakandians, and it could still be a suit thing. Still felt wrong. Some minor issues otherwise, mind control was a huge deal in many MCU content, so it should be a legal defense already XD. The plot was quite Civil War like just instead of within the avengers the world / president had to deal with someone master manipulator that was wronged and now out for revenge. New Cap Sidekick. An attack on a political summit. Thaddeus E. “Thunderbolt” Ross being angry at Captain America. The buddy falling from the sky. So while Civil War abandoned the avengers this was a “we need to bring them back” movie. Even has some Winter Soldier throwbacks. So I get the underwhelmed feelings, they probably wanted to give some symmetry to pass the torch to Sam on the big screen. I do like to see the politics, all other struggles of the world around. Therefore, I still do like the movie overall. ==== Some Marvel Shows that I really love are “Jessica Jones” [39 episodes] “Moon Knight” [6 episodes] both are messed up, but Jessica really isn't for the light-hearted, and they dive really deep into psychological themes. Way more than any other MCU stuff, well maybe a movie later on. Jessica Jones is dark, trauma dealing, and has detective noir vibe with one of the most badass women in the MCU. Just not on avengers level for reasons that a lot more of these people should have in terms of realism [Part of Netflix Defenders Saga] Moon Knight is WTH is going on as an Egyptian mythology themed MCU show. [Official Disney+ Show]

Hi Amber, Captain America: Brave New World is beautiful. Now you have to see Venom, the three films, and then Thunderbolts. Keep it up, you're a force of nature, very good.

Brent Stroot

Thunderbolts ,is great but you might want to watch the Hawkeye series also. For a little more from Yelena before thunderbolts

Brent Stroot

Agatha all along is a must also

Thomas McGlinchey

With Ross now in the Raft, does that mean Amber gets her wish of Bucky Barnes as the next President in the MCU… lol

GaryKrome

i dunno if it is just me buyt this did not seem like a captain america movie at all - it was a hard watch and tbh i didnt see it till the end - if it wasnt for you being on screen amber i would have turned it off sooner lol sorry :)

Richard C

I had trouble watching this on my first attempt, but my second attempt watching it with Amber went very well. I ended up quite liking this movie. It’s certainly not my favourite Marvel movie, but it’s no Eternals. 😁

Charlieeee

For me, one of the biggest selling points of your channel is how you make your own mind up about MCU projects as much as you can 🙌🏻

Steven Costa

I agree, I was not a fan of Sentry, but I love Yelena and did enjoy the movie.

Steven Costa

Here I am a day behind, but I had to go to the theater yesterday for Spider-man: Brand New Day. I'm glad you've see Falcon and the Winter Soldier and know who Isaiah Bradley is. People that didn't see that series would have trouble with the story in this movie. The voice on the phone traces back to The Incredible Hulk (Ed Norton). He was on the phone as Mr. Blue speaking with Bruce Banner (Mr. Green). The only thing that came out of The Eternals, if Adamantium. Both Adamantium and Vibranium are not found on Earth. Vibranium came from a meteor in Wakanda and Adamantium from the dead celestial. I do predict that you will love The Thunderbolts.

MovieMan_J

You're right to be apprehensive about Marvel movies post Endgame. Thunderbolts was a surprisingly fun movie. As you can see from the comments people had mixed feelings about some of the casting. All-in-all I thought it was fun and I'm certain you will too. The Fantastic Four was also an entertaining movie that's next in line after Thunderbolts.

Theo Harris

Yes it is. So there! LOL Ridiculous
