Patreon Blog - June 2017 (Patreon)

Wowie wowie!  This past half a month has been amazing on the channel, bringing in a new renaissance for the channel.  While it's not as great as the period I was experiencing before my suicide attempt last year, we're on track to get back to that level!  Thank you guys so much because your support is a huge part of why this was and continues to be possible!

I think a lot of this comes down to the new style of show that we've been trying out on the channel, spending less time working on in depth history videos and more on fun topics that people are curious about while still adding the Comic Drake flair of obnoxious research.  What do you guy think about them?  As the hardcore fans, I'd love to know how you're responding to this shift.

Now please note that this does not mean that the history videos are over.  Rather, I'm trying to make them less of the focus on the channel since frankly, they're a pain in the ass to research and sometimes extremely stressful on me.

In other news, we've been seeing some great dynamics over on the Discord with new people popping in and awesome discussions in the research server!  Plus, I think adding the Tatsumaki bot has helped gameify things and encourage more talk.  If you're still having trouble accessing the Discord and your perks, just let me know!

Also, I've found footage from the "lost" episode of Drunk Comics.  I'll be working on editing that today and have that out to y'all soon. :D  Not only that, but we're throwing a lot more work on our Facebook page, uploading videos, fun bits from comics I'm reading, and getting exposure to comic and video game fan art and cosplay, with proper credits of course.   You can find that over at https://www.facebook.com/OfficialDrakeMcWhorter/

Anyway, I hope that things have been fulfilling on Patreon and if there's any way that I can improve, please do not hesitate to let me know!  I want this to be an enjoyable and rewarding experience for you guys. <3
