Patreon Blog - July 2017 (Patreon)

Hey gang,

Wow, June has been an absolutely terrible month.  On the back-end, things have not been great from my grandma dying to another decline in views to other personal drama.  Because of that, I think it's time to re-evaluate the channel... again.

So we haven't done a History of video since May which has generally proven to be pretty positive.  By focusing on more generalized topics, we've seen to attract a bigger audience.  Not dealing with long and convoluted histories has made the the workflow easier to manage and has allowed for a better and healthier stream of content.  Because of this, I'm thinking of diving into easier to produce "Origin of" episodes and possibly "Craziest Moments of" style content as we attract a new audience.

Don't worry, reading recommendations and other explanation videos won't be going anywhere and in fact, I might be bringing back the "Where to Start Reading" series since it's apparently something that fans have wanted to see again.

Unfortunately though, the channel is still in a rut and is on the verge of shutting down due to funding.  Once again, I'd like to open the floor and take suggestions as to how I can make Patreon a better experience for you guy.  Y'all are what are keeping the channel afloat and your voice does matter. :)
