Maus is still one of the comics I enjoy to this day. Glad I got the chance to read for the first time when we were given the opportunity to read it in my 12th grade English class back in 2017.

Maus was one of the first comics I remember reading. It's interesting that then and now it's still pointed to as a prime example for how comics can tell "serious" stories.

Sorry for the late comment but I found all the little details in maus interesting and sobering. For example, the way he writes the letter s makes me just a but uncomfortable whenever a word with 2 of them in a row comes up, and the one panel where their path was in the shape of a swastika was also scary. These kinds of details slowly became more apparent the further i got into it, and it really helped me to somewhat feel what the characters were feeling, fear towards these symbols of oppression. This book takes you slowly deeper and deeper into the heart of despair, and the anesthetic of anthropomorphic animals, which is usually used for cute or cozy stories, really contrasts with that theme, leaving me with the feeling of deep wrongness, a mix of disgust and remorse that the human race could ever even be capable of such an atrocity against itself. The personal details included about spegelman's conversations with his father also shows how the war still affected its victims long after it was over, and how such tragedies can have generational effects.

Has the choice been decided?

Comic Drake

Yes! It's the Longbow Hunters! The video is having some delays getting out, but I'm hoping to have it out on Halloween at the latest.

Aww got over excited and thought it was gonna be the crow.

The YouTube Membership poll pushed it towards GA. 😅
