Update (Patreon)
Content
It's been quite a while since the last update! Got a big one to cover this time, and depending on how things go, I'll have some smaller polls and updates in the near future.
This time around I'm bringing some changes to help me with better time management, hopefully getting out of my "good" habit of 4 hour sleeps. While it may not be good news to some, this changes have to be made in order for me to be able to continue, and most importantly improve my works.
If you have any questions regarding the changes then feel free to ask it in the comment section, or DM me directly!
The mentioned changes will be applied starting next week (March 31.)
Current schedules
My current schedule consists working on the 2 daily sets through Wednesday-Sunday, and 1 daily set on Monday-Tuesday plus the commissions. Doing a set of 10 pictures usually takes around 4 hours, unless it's a set featuring a popular character with a well trained model, which could take it down to around 3 hours, but with worse models I can take up to 5 hours to complete a set. This means, that I work 6 to 10 hours on the daily sets (usually around 8-9 hours).
Commission of 10 images can make things a little easier at times, but whenever I have to adjust those, or make a set of 20, I usually have to prepare another daily set for the night, rather that posting the commission, as that needs more time to complete, which in the end starts adding up and getting everything delayed.
My Monday-Tuesdays were originally a way for me to work in advance for the weekend so that I could get some free time, but now they mainly serve for me to catch up on the delayed commission works.
The problem
With the current schedule I cannot always keep up with uploading on various sites, advertising myself on X, and working on the page and other extra stuff in general so I'll have to find a way to fix this.
My editing skills have greatly improved from the times I started uploading on Patreon, but unfortunately the process that takes the longest is generation. I have a decent setup, but it lacks the VRAM to quickly go through images like I have to.So my priority is set on upgrading that part first, but as of now I'm earning barely enough to cover the costs of living.
I've started my Patreon right after I left my workplace and was doing this full time, thinking I'll just work on this until I find a job. But due to the surprising amount of support, I thought I'll keep on going like this for a while and hopefully I'll grow big enough to be able to focus solely on doing this.
But I've found, that in the past few months I wasn't really able to attract more people, and reached a standstill that I'd like to break. But for this to happen, I'll have to do some changes that will result in overall less uploads, but are for the better.
The changes
I'll have to reduce my workload so that I can focus more on the marketing part of things, as well as doing some side-gigs to earn a little more so that I can upgrade my rig ASAP.
For this I'll have to lower the Minimum daily upload to 1 set of 10 images. BUT I'll still be uploading commissions whenever they are ready, as well as post an extra set whenever I have some extra time to do so.Weekly polls remain the same with the usual 7 voted characters each receiving a set.
I've chosen to do this change as it would grant the following benefits:
Faster commission completions. As I wouldn't have to try and complete 2 sets every day while also creating, editing, and later on adjusting the commission to fit the commissioners needs.
Up to date uploads on various sites such as Rule34, Pixiv and X (Twitter).
More special holiday and festive content. As I've only done Christmas and recently a quick set for St. Patrick's Day, I've wanted to make more similar sets for other events as well for some more interesting scenes (I'm sad I've missed out on so many good ones like the Lunar New Year, Carnival and Valentine's Day).
More free time to do some side works. I've done quite a few things back in my freelancing years, so I'll most probably pick up doing 1-2 things for some extra income to speed things up.
Better quality sets. With reduced workload, I'll be able to focus more on prompting rather than trying to push out a set as quickly as possible in order to start working on the next one. This would also mean, that I'll be trying to make more multiple girl sets.
And most importantly, I'll be able to improve my Patreon page with various features I've been wanting to do for some time now, but didn't have the time for.
Conclusion
I've been thinking of doing this change for quite a while now, but I didn't have the courage to do so, as I've feared of how well received it would be. But unfortunately my current living conditions don't allow me to sink this much work in an endless cycle of just uploading daily sets.
As I'm alone doing everything, I have to better manage my time in order to be able to work on various aspects, rather than dumping it all on generation and editing. With a PC upgrade I'll be able to manage things more easily and hopefully get back on uploading more.
As long as there are people interested in my works, I'll keep on improving them in order to reach the goals I've set for myself.
So a Huge Thanks to all of my supporters, and see you at tomorrow's post!❤️
