@Enlightened: Takeoff is Canvas, not Original, so not under nearly the scrutiny. This is the case with most (queer) Webtoons that are full unhidden nudity on Patreon. The contracts for Originals are seriously strict and the company has internal incentives to police for anything advertising or app store partners don't like. As I've heard half the editor's job, especially on queer comics is to try to interpret and negotiate between artist intent and the (... honestly predatory) contract clauses. If they cancel the contract we have to wait, depending on exact contact, 1-3 *years* for Toni to regain their right to even *publish the rest of the story* elsewhere. It's fun to joke about "aw man we have to *imagine* it??" but seriously. Don't encourage contracted creators to break their terms. They'll lose their income and their own rights to their story.

Toni puts that statement there because what's on Webtoons *is* the censored limit of what their editor can negotiate with a company that is notoriously... not *"favorable"* to queer work. The statement is a way of appeasing Webtoons - who does not allow 'official/canon' material to be posted elsewhere even by the creator. Toni gets to still tell this part of the story, we get to see it, Webtoons doesn't screech 'Breech of contract' and rip the story away from everyone entirely (and knowing the publishing industry there would be serious financial penalties inflicted on Toni for said 'breech') Edit: sorry for being snappish.
