Hi Everyone,

As you may have heard, over the last few weeks X and Grok have made it possible for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to be generated and widely distributed on their apps. Both apps are in clear violation of Apple’s App Store guidelines and should have been removed from the App Store. But they haven’t been.

We are deeply saddened and angered by this, and so in protest, we're launching a new app today — CSAM Store Checker. We made this app to show which app marketplaces have apps where CSAM is accessible, and we've included a number of articles for reference. This app should make it obvious which apps are the issue and which marketplaces allow those apps to be distributed.

And to further emphasize our dedication to protecting children, we are donating ALL our Patreon earnings from now through February to Protect All Children from Trafficking (PACT). PACT is a wonderful organization that's dedicated to eliminating the sexual exploitation and trafficking of children. They have a CSAM Prevention Program which provides a safe space for parents, caregivers, and guardians to learn about the basics of human trafficking and exploitation and in 2024 helped pass the REPORT Act which strengthens legal obligations for Big Tech companies to detect, report, and prevent online child exploitation. Learn more or donate directly at https://www.wearepact.org/

We appreciate all your support, thank you.

Perfect answer to Apple! As an European it's just great to hear there's still American people that haven't lost their mind 🤗

Is this available for Altstore Classic?

I love to hear this, I have been an avid supporter for years even back in the days of gba4ios. It makes me proud and elated to continue supporting you guys

Alex

… so you’re never going to update AltServer, are you? Or fix its broken Python dependencies? Or make it easier to run on multiple hosts? Or fix the bundle errors for complex sideloaded apps?

Kyoki

No innocent mind deserves a fate crueler than death. You guys have my full support! You keep on going!

Such news are particularly painful if your own app is rejected by Apple for flimsy and daring reasons, even though Apple has no legal reasons due to the Safe Harbor Act and design rules are being followed. But if apps clearly violate these design rules but bring big business, they will be allowed. Well, business rules the world. 🤔

i might be a little late to the party but if this checks it and shows you which apps then the predators will flock to the apps
