new WIP! 🖤 Yuffie and Tifa are having fun in the bathroom. Take a look at the animation progress, plus some updates and exciting news 👀

The Animation Progress

Yuffie x Tifa has been a little harder than expected, mainly because of the pose and movement angle, and that combined with some mental health stuff last week made everything take longer than planned. but i’m really happy with where it’s landing

Tifa’s facial expression still needs some work. the motion is pretty fast so i don’t want to overdetail it and make it look weird, trying to find the right balance there

Yuffie’s facials on the other hand i’m really happy with, i’ll tweak it a little more but it’s mostly how i pictured it

still have some things to polish on the base loop too, i want to tweak Yuffie’s motion and add small details like her hand opening and closing, the little things that make it feel alive

Studies

i’m also working on a little side project, a stop-motion style animation for @vinewXIV, and here’s an early (really early) look

i don’t usually work on more than one project at a time but this one is different for a couple reasons. first, it’s something i’m making just for fun, i love what i create professionally but sometimes i just want to make something stupid and silly, and @vinewXIV feels like the right place for that. second, working in stepped/stop-motion style is actually really good for understanding animation fundamentals, it’s been genuinely helpful for my studies

i’m only working on it in my free time so it’ll take a while to release, no rush on this one

Feeling Better

i mentioned some health stuff in the last WIP, i’m doing much better now. eating properly, taking care of myself and my space, head is a lot clearer. back to working normally and really happy about it
