i'm definitely seeing why antaras was so detested by helevise- why she told him he deserved every bit of suffering he got. i love how antaras has quickly become so genuinely threatening- using loss's power like that and sacrificing countless newborns to preserve the life of one. the man's so driven by desperation that i wonder if, at some point, he'll turn against usma when/if she joins the main crew.

Oooo, how terrifying! Honestly my prediction is that Loss will somehow escape the ring and possess Antaras, just like Eve did with the dead doe. I can't imagine a god of any kind would take kindly to being trapped and controlled itself.

Loss is trapped in the ring on Antaras' antlers. It seems to give him control over it in some way, and used it to kill the stag.

i was wondering how Loss being in the ring was a useful choice and this page just had it click. a bargain with Eve he couldn't refuse and leashed Loss to repel anyone who tries to stop him, it seems. that's pretty clever. makes one wonder how much the balance scales with War, though. life and death seem pretty unstoppable, but perhaps War isn't a physical power and more being the embodiment of strife that will throw a wrench in the gears.

SHIT! That's terrifying. I can definitely see why War is gonna be needed before even THINKING about confronting Antaras. Also, this poor couple. Losing their child and then having this happen? I wonder if Loss will take both of them or just the stag. If it's the latter, I wonder how the poor doe will handle losing both her child and her mate... Will Usma know about this? SO MANY QUESTIONS!!! Can't wait to see what happens next!
