An interesting clash of two personalities, Nero being all fiery and straightforward and Usma (seemingly) being very repressed and withdrawn, but pushed to her limit by everything that’s happened so far. I can definitely understand Nero’s feelings about this matter, since Usma is slow to open, and hearing her say “he didn’t mean to” without immediate further explanation would probably set me off too. On the other hand, Usma has been through too much, she wants to help but needs a kinder approach. I love this story and the fact that every character is faulted to a degree, it all makes it more interesting and believable. Great work!
