Oh my... the heavy guilt on the march leader's face, the terrifying uncertainty, the red tint in miss malinois' eyes and the silent, given up posture of Antaras... so many feelings in couple of panels!

Givemeyourmilk

Girlypop this sucks but you all had the freedom to choose to listen or not, he has no control over the will of deer. Oh how grief and anger color perception

Robo87

I LOVE the design of this doe but holy moly hon be careful you’re yelling at the wrong stag

Nichelle

Girlie look around you. You think the gods are handing out blessings willy nilly right now?

NikuComics

well he did warn then but none listened sooooo

Terror

"shut your face, shit mouth." 😭

AdventureLemon

Grief can make people so unkind… she is looking for anyone to blame right now. I fear we will see what became of Oudia next week ;_;

Norwein

"Boohoo, we were laughing at you and mocking you all the way, but it's still you who's at fault". That's grief speaking of course, and you can see the difference in how doe talks to leads and Andy. It's grief-driven in both cases, but with them she's ANGRY, with him she's more like...desperate? In a very sad way. It's easier to cope when you have something or someone to blame. It means that you don't have to admit that there might have been your own mistrust, miscalculation or whatever at play, too. I think that deep down she understands that while he "could have tried harder", they -could have listened- as well. But it's just too raw and painful to accept. I do kinda hope that Antaras shuts her up, because it's still not okay. Maybe not harshly, but firmly enough for her to step back and think for a moment.

Magnum

I love her, the poor girl's just absolutely freaking out with grief 😭

Kwelve

Miss Malinois, he already lost the love of his life when he knew they were in danger and never wanted to do this journey, please don't pick at the wound

TornTethers

I am actually going to combust, this is so tragic. This man is broken, please do not.

Aen Riv

For realz, blame the victim, why don't you. Sheesh.

PantheraCorax

I’m wondering if he’s gonna snap and do a murder 😬 Though probably not that extreme right out the gate—unless his prayers before were him making a deal that requires a sacrifice. 🤷 Either way, I love the character work you do! They all feel very rounded and real, regardless of how long we see them!

Uzuri

Well as a general thing I'm not on the side of a god-caller who broke the world, BUT... please explode her heart, Antaras.

Spiritstrike

Victim blaming, good on you. He warned you.

Microgrampup

What exactly would the March leaders and Antaras do if they listened to him? Would they be able to wait 21-22 days with no sign of the storm he warned about , how long did it last, did it disperse or just pass them and is going through the path they went days before including the one area where Antaras had warned them, would waiting one day really have helped them? Was stopping the entire trip and turning back a viable and safe option at the time?

Microgrampup

I know she’s reacting out of grief, but I know a lot of readers will blame the march leaders for not listening to Antaras, but what were they seriously supposed to do with a warning that came nearly a whole month before this storm happened? Was it even relevant with how long it took to happen afterwards?

Olive

"All of them died." Shes the one grasslander who isnt crossed out on the sheet yet. I'd bet Antaras takes her out before they reach the south.

Khali Hagen

In the previous page Usma said ALL the grasslanders died. On this page a grasslander is blaming everyone. Wonder how she’s gonna meet her end.

Khali Hagen

I don’t know if they could have stayed there either. I think they would have had to turn back to where they came from. They had food and shelter there previously. I think no one would have turned all the way back, and Antaras was worried about going back or staying without the group. There’s wolves there. He probably couldn’t keep Usma and Oudia safe all by himself. Such a horrible tragedy. I agree, the 20 days really messed everything up. Because realistically, who is gonna hang somewhere for that long on the off chance that some stranger is right?

Microgrampup

What are windsplitters? Is it a role or an insult suggesting a lower rank?

PyritKyrit

It feels like it's being used insultingly here, but windsplitter would be a literal part of what they do as the leads of a march. With them walking in the front the wind breaks against them, that way those behind them aren't hit as harshly by the strong winds.

PyritKyrit

Ratt said in the post with the palette chart "G stands for grasslander, N for northerner, though I did swap at least two" so I think she's just a Northerner that was initially designed as a Grasslander before being swapped.

PyritKyrit

"G stands for grasslander, N for northerner, though I did swap at least two" Since Ratt mentioned swapping at least two she's probably just a northerner

Arual

im in so much pain ratt.

Ritsuka Aoayagi

The leader should hage listened. Hes at fault but the god caller cant force them to do anything only boss man can. Whether the march scoffed at him or not he should have listened
