Im confused whats going on is this a Scar and hayenas type situation where he got the wolves to slay every one except Usma??? Last panel looks really cool tough having the 3 faces create one.

On the one hand, watching multiple deers getting mauled to death/running in fear after having a brief period of consolation that came just shortly after another tragedy is gut wrenching (sure they were assholes but they didn't deserve this outcome). On the other hand, look at those adorable puppers in the 5th panel, they're without a doubt the cutest mauling machines I've seen in my life!

Wolves seem to appear rarely in this comic, but so far they are a catalyst for two essential events (as shown with Antaras here + in the beginning when Nero slays a wolf)

oh my GOOOOOD the way that panels 9-11 all form a singular connected face in a horrific shattered patchwork is INSANELY good. it's literally the red of usma's trauma rearing its sinister grin through her mind's eye, and emanating off of antaras' whole being HOW do you come up with this it's so amazing to look at.

Also if those two front wolves (dark and brown) in panel 5 are a Jet and Harley cameo you did a very good job in sneaking them in. It was only after staring at that torn ear and the nose scar that it clicked it might be them.

The title of this chapter is called "Red". It's been shown in little ways through the comic, and on this page you can see it leaking into the last three pages: in Usma's eye, the backdrop of the wolf's panel, and then the red aura around Antaras.
