I wonder if Eve is gonna tell him that she actually can't bring back someone from the dead, but she senses that the fawn inside Ouida is somehow still alive, so she may save the fawn if Antaras allows her to enter Ouida's body... Whether Antaras lets Eve or she just does this on her own much to Antaras' disagreement however remains to be seen.

Antaras's expressions are very telling. He looks absolutely insane while also looking petrified and I think the gods can sense it.

It's hooking to see that she ain't bending to his words or motives right away despite the imprisonment. She knows she's a god & she knows Antaras is a desperate mortal, maybe not even the first one to do this kind of thing, and that he needs her. Eve will outlive him & his spite anyway, she's above and beyond it all.

I don't think the fawn inside even needs to still be alive at this point - we see how they are born dead without Eve despite growing within the womb anyway. She can just put life into it regardless as long as Oudia's body carries it to term thus letting it develop properly... granted, seeing Eve's design and nature, it's hard to say if the fawn will not become disfigured, whether purely by growing in her constant presence or out of Eve's spite. There are enough mutations in this world to make a fawn be born in such horrible state that, in horrible irony, Antaras would need Loss to put it out of its misery...
