Prue and Gitta's halves were just briefly operated by Eve, they weren't really alive! Whatever Loss swallows is gone.

Intresting about the halves why do I have the feeling that Eve wants to know what birthing a fawn must feel like is that why she agrees to be inside Audia??

I may not have met my god face to face but him begging with her to bring Oudia back…to quote Antares “I know your pain well”. Who hasn’t been there when you lose the person you love the most and you’re on your knees choking on your own sobs begging the air to PLEASE just bring them BACK….and they can’t. It’s the worst sort of pain there is I do have questions about halvs. Is EVERY bird in the world a halv to a deer? Or only some? It’s canon that if a deer dies so does their halv, but what if a halv dies by natural means or killed by a predator?

i enjoy the shot of ouida's body between antares and eve. while of course she would have wanted to live, it is stark that she's being used for the desires of others now.

I….just had a very chilling thought I’m REALLY hoping isn’t true What if Eve can bring Oudia back….in the body of the fawn. Like she said the fawn is unborn. Eve can’t give back life to those who died but can she bring back a soul in a new shell? If Eve hadn’t given the fawn its soul yet she might be able to simply “operate “ Oudia’s body like an incubator until it’s grown enough to be born.

My theory on the halvs was right in my previous comment! yay! Some things I like in this page: The artwork in general, that's always a given! Usma won't look at anyone. Not her father, not Eve, not Oudia. Oudia's corpse between the two is so upsetting but she also makes the scene reminescant of banker scales. A bargain, a balance being thrown off, and by the height tipping ever so slightly in Antaras's favour. The recurring theme of Loss eating, consuming. When he swallowed the deer couple, he did it with his jaws wide open. Eve asked what he had in his mouth a few pages ago. He literally swallows everything.

We were discussing that possibility in the discord just last week! Doesn’t seem likely though. Eve says Oudia’s soul is not retrievable.

Agreed. Eve seems pretty clear that Oudia is gone - unless Loss is about to say something to the contrary, but I suspect Loss will confirm Eve had not yet given the fawn a soul for It to consume.

I feel like Eve seems almost excited at the possibility of bringing into being the life of the unborn fawn. She *is* life but perhaps still finds playing with this mortal version of it too good to pass up. Though maybe Loss is more hesitant, perhaps sensing the desperation in Antaras & knowing that falling to this temptation could bring trouble to them. I feel it might try to convince her not to go with this whackadoo plan with its next words—or at least advise against spilling the beans. If she lets on that she could help bring the unborn to term, then that will bring that fire back into Antaras… And if he has an obtainable goal, he will not stop at anything until he obtains it…

I like the tone shift. Antaras just came there with gods on the leash, confident and thinking that they're able to bring Oudia back, but once the truth about limits was revealed to him by Eve, he started begging like any grieving mate or a parent would. The third panel is so powerful.

She only gives life to "new" beings... does new mean a certain age limit? We're all assuming that the fawn was dead, but is it young enough to be "brought back"? // edit: as someone else said maybe it didnt get to have a soul so now it can be hiven one (?) // I also wonder how that moment of the halves being given to their deer goes. I imagine a mother giving birth and a lil bird flies down on to the calf and stays. So cute! Would love to see a scene of that TuT
