I don't know, part of me doesnt want to believe the thoughts spiraling in my head just now. However, Eve's expression is?? So soft, reassuring almost. Not a speck of deception but more so in a perspective of ""Allow me to enjoy myself for a little while longer before I go." Is this the greed they talk about in the bible?/j

Is Eve…starting to fall for Antares? After Usma leaves him, Eve comes over and snuggles in his neck fluff while smiling at him. At first I thought this was Eve kind of adding insult to injury because he’s clearly annoyed when she does But then she goes up to him afterwards and smiles, and even responds to him that smiling is the first step to flirting And now….that smile is so much Oudia’s it hurts. It looks genuinely tender, and not like she’s inwardly smug that she might unleash an eldritch horror baby upon the world I’m wondering if being in the world, carrying a baby like a normal doe, maybe her little deer rp game is taking an unexpected real turn for her. She’s starting to see and feel the world like a real deer…and starting to leave parts of her goddess hood behind the longer she’s away from the sky

Afther last week I tought that we are either where going to see Antaras and Eve next or Dousa would nice if we see both. Especially its been hinted that Antaras his herd got stalked whit the shadow legs mysterious bird and Helevises death. Finaly a face to the stalker.

Your comment has kinda made me wonder if that's what eve wants and why she was so willing to carry a baby for a stag she dosent seem to like very much, maybe even if she hates her captor she kinda just wanted to see what it was like to be just any other mortal doe and experience motherhood and the world around her from a different perspective also not to mention in that scene where she commented on her smiling she did genuinely look a bit rejected and sad when he told her to stop it Edit: I've read back on the smiling pages and I've wondered if maybe her sadness comes from him telling her that her voice and face arnt her own which might have burst her bubble a little bit and reminded her that her experience of this world isn't exactly all that real.

I was thinking along the same lines, maybe not falling for HIM but becoming enamored with walking the mortal realm. She's still got all the favors of a God. Immortality, not having to worry about death, disease, or being attacked like a normal doe would. She gets to play house with NONE of the hazards of a mortal.

Curious if she’s purposely waiting for War to arrive so she can ensure her and Loss’s freedom from Ant after giving birth to whatever it is she has inside “her” body. In the meantime, maybe she’s just trying to find things to enjoy about this imprisonment—like seeing Anty suffer and also experiencing a mortal-ish life and that unique style of parenting/holding life. Regardless, it’s interesting how much more open to communicating with Antaras she is now. The wills and wants of gods in this world is ever-fascinating.

I used UE for some backgrounds for the first half of chapter 9, but it ended up being too much of a hassle so I stopped. After that I've moved on to use stock images. They're credited on CF when pages with those images appear!
