Thank you for the nice words on the last page! I love to hear from you especially when posting something new to gauge the overall interest in the stuff I post here. Lurking is 100% acceptable too, I'm something of a lurker myself.

Ohh... the lower panel in the middle.. childhood traumas..

This is very off topic, considering the wonderfully done dark and grim shift here, but this reminds me of my friend who ran nighttime management of one (a cheaper American franchise) hotel and a guest had hit a deer and tried to clean it in the hotel bathroom discreetly. Got caught. She called the police, who arrested the man but did not help with the deer. So she and the two other staff had to try to clean/dispose of the body without, you know making a bigger mess and not looking like they were disposing of another guest in the dead of night.

Oh that's... a totally normal thing to expect during your shift! HHC was loosely inspired by someone's submitted story in a certain real horror story podcast, I'll tell you about it on the next page!

I think this might be my favorite page so far, I love the hatching

Oh dear, that’s not horribly nostalgic at all

I love the way you frame the deer's interpretation of human things. Like tents as domes, and referring to the sound of the car engine as growling. It really aids to that kind of image of just how otherworldly humans are compared to wildlife.

the places the mind goes when the only context we have is two women camping alone and two men with a deer corpse drive up. and brain is like. ohhh... either the women are camping with the men... or they aren't

Diznits

...huh! well on the one hand, i suppose he thought he was being smart, but on the other, there are So Many things he could've done between leaving his kill at the side of the road and what he did. i wonder how he managed to transport the body inside...

They wouldn’t have known he was doing what he was doing aside from a very scared complaint of blood in the halls 😭
