Good. Lord. Is this the same leader guy Kasko talked to at the Gathering? He seemed a bit different, like a smiling and mocking guy while this guy is just down right vicious and evil. I guess he acts different when everything is going his way or it's a case of "characterization marches on"? Regardless, hope karma eventually comes around to get this guy's ass.

I loved this comic, tysm for going a lil' offroad to portray their relationship a bit more in depth! Now I am a tad bit worried that Juru will make a re-appearance as an antagonist.

I hope he takes over the herd after the Sire grows too weak and old and I hope he can be a kinder less toxic sire. I hope his aggression to the torn eared doe was just an act to show the sire he isn't weak

Matter of time and place, I think. Kasko has said the woodlanders are a proud kind, and the Gathering had a lot of other deer around. It's essentially a 'public space' and anything extreme would likely have affected Rokkus' reputation, so he targets Kasko with sarcastic, snarky and mocking remarks that hit where it hurts. Kasko's likely good as dead in his mind anyway, since it's only his other son and Sulfi's mother that violently try to chase Kasko in the end. Here with Juru, though, there are no witnesses. It's just him, Rokkus, and somewhere nearby the herd. They're isolated from others, and so Rokkus is free to properly 'rule' with an iron fist and be as hard and cold as he truly is.
