Extra upload because I need your help! I'm working on JaH pages on my off time, but I can't make up my mind about the font size. The first one is what I have now; it's bigger, and I'm not sure if it's maybe too big. If it was smaller, I could leave more space for the art, so I tried the smaller one too, it's the second one.

Which one would you prefer? Bigger text with bigger bubbles, taking more space but likely being a bit more readable, or the smaller text which leaves more space for art but might not be as easy on the eyes. I've grown blind to the difference so I need help! Don't mind the jagged bubbles on the 2nd one, it was a quick resize.

Personally I'd prefer the smaller one, but readability comes first.

I think I prefer the smaller one tbh! It's still easy to read and the extra space make the page "breath"? If you see what I mean xD

I think both font sizes are very clear and the smaller font doesn't affect readability at all. Plus, I am reading on mobile (thus the images are a lot tinier) and I have no trouble reading the smaller font. Personally I would prefer the smaller font, your art is gorgeous and I would love it to be more visible. ☺️

Go with the smaller. I have eyesight thats not so great and I always just expand and zoom in on your pages to read them anyways. Your phenomenal illustrations are what draws people in and your backgrounds are always a good portion of our enjoyment!

Smaller for sure! Page feels over crowded with the big bubbles. As long as zooming in is possible, there shouldn’t be a problem for legibility

boizois

Smaller 100%

I would opt for the second, smaller font as well. Even though the bubbles are still the same size, it somehow makes it seem as though its taking up less of the page. That might just be my very own selective impression though.

i can read both fine as far as the sizing goes, but something about the bigger font keeps me more engaged? it feels more inviting somehow lol

AlbinoWolf

Smaller looks more streamlined for me, and it’s not that much smaller that it makes a huge difference in legibility imo

Fluffy

smaller size is probably better, but I take issue with the fonts as someone dyslexic. Both the bright colours and the font itself made it a bit hard to read.

Tysm for your input! I think I'll go with the smaller one, it'll make many things easier in the long run. Now to edit all 14 existing pages... 🫠

Aw man! I did try to keep the colors rather dark and contrasted so it'd still be easy to read against white background, and the colored fonts are pivotal for the comic. I'll have to hear if more people have trouble with this particular font, I've grown pretty fond of it.

When viewing in full size, the font does look a tad too big. Also, the felines may just be verbose and it's always a battle between their speech bubbles and the art, lol.

Second is well readable too. I prefer the second
