Our outlet mall used to have a Claire’s outlet. Since I’m a dinosaur, I remember Claire’s used to rarely have 10 items for $5 sales but they ran them like 24/7 at the outlet. Half the stuff was broken but baby I was ✨accessorized.✨

We have two outlet malls in Vegas but one was filled with tourists (and wasn’t around when I was a kid) and the other one was far south so we never really went to either. But I did clean house at Claire’s and Icing. I recently found a box I had since I was a kid and there were so many pairs of those silicone spiky earrings, which oddly enough, fit the actual theme of this episode! lol

Omg this Etsy seller is infuriating! I’ve had a business for over 6 years and Etsy is my main revenue stream. This seller isn’t cut out for it. She’s too emotionally immature as you have to be able to receive constructive criticism. That buyer was very sweet. She didn’t have to do all of that with her she could have opened a case on Etsy. She was trying to work with her. It’s embarrassing that so many hobby crafters start a shop on Etsy with zero education or research. My customer service is what gets mentioned in my reviews so often. I have a 1 year warranty lmao. I think most buyers are just shocked when reaching out to me about an issue. I’m always quick to apologize and send a replacement. That’s why I have so many return customers. It’s not rocket science. In fact if I ran an in person business I probably would be awful! I’m quick to react and emotional but I never respond immediately if I’m frustrated. Not trying to toot my own horn I’m just trying to say that it’s pretty easy if you have good customer service and good quality products. 🤷‍♀️

Yes sanding and then making sure it’s completely clean by wiping with alcohol. With this case the clay or spackle isn’t dry clearly which would also affect it but it also looks like she doesn’t apply it right. I also make 3D tumblers and I sculpt with clay on the tumbler and the remove after it dries and then actually glue it on before continuing the process. It’s easy to skip parts like that but it highly affects the end product’s longevity.

There is no way this wasn't a curing issue - if that material is strong enough to function as a cell phone case... it shouldn't be destroyed by a lil poke.

Girlies, as someone with an Etsy shop, it’s so easy to refund. If it falls under seller and customer agreed to a refund, you get the fees back and only lose the profit, so like $8 is probably what she made. By having to contact Etsy support and have an open case, your Etsy star seller badge is put in limbo, you try to do anything to avoid a customer going to Etsy directly.

As someone who does crafting and has worked with decoden cream/ cream glue (I’m assuming what the icing artist uses on her light switches) if she wanted to do it properly, she would’ve needed to up the area that she was applying the cream to nail file or Dremel.

GUYS! I am actually losing my mind because this is the first time I KNOW the business. I literally bought from the shop and left a review on March 29, 2024 (with a photo; you can probably find my review if you go on their etsy). I had a problem where mine arrived smushed and the corners fell off, but it was slightly malleable so I glued it on and unsquished it the best I could...I am sooooo dead, but the girl was completely right about the malleability and how fragile it was, but I am so easily impressed, thought it was a shipping issue (and hate returns), and I knew it would dry eventually.

As someone who sells on Etsy, I'm pretty sure it's expected of sellers to refund the customer then the SELLER works with USPS if they damaged the product. Sounds like the seller didn't feel like doing the work or USPS wasn't going to say it was their fault so they pushed it off to the customer.

I know I’m a thousand years late to this, but I have experience using spackle in art. I made milkshake props and both spooned it into a glass cup and piped on the “whipped cream”. The spackle wouldn’t do this, especially if it was cured properly, but also I’m wondering if she’s mixing the spackle with something and it’s not curing correctly because the formula is now changed. Either way what an asshole way to run a business 🤡

Hey girlies, I know I'm super late to this but just wanted to give a little insight as someone that works in trade/shipping. Reefer trucks/containers are used by businesses but they're typically reserved for larger orders or it's extremely expensive to ship something that small. It is possible to ship temperature controlled items, it's just not common or realistic for small businesses to use them mainly due to cost. **edit** I still think the seller is 100% at fault for poor quality items/packaging. Also pretty sure she was trying to start the claim process with USPS so she wouldn't be penalized as a seller and wouldn't have to issue a refund.

But wanted to say as a fellow Etsy star seller, maybe this was a lesson for the business owner to learn what good customer service should be. You need to keep your star seller stats high in order to keep the status month after month, so maybe she'll know now what causes a bad review....

Oooop! I didn’t even think about that, youre exactly 100% correct! My dad is the postmaster at a neighboring rural area near us for USPS & it is a felony! & obviously, this would be fraud! Because the claim itself, that USPS did something wrong to cause this issue, is false & filing a claim under that would be a false claim with the intent of receiving compensation for something USPS *clearly* did not cause! So, yeah shes asking a genuinely sweet customer who tried being understanding to commit mail fraud instead of putting her big girl panties on & admitting she fucked up then processing a refund OR a replacement done RIGHT! Couldve had a viral review with the initial unboxing, followed by the “small business” rectifying the situation, film another unboxing with a new & improved replacement, & gained so much POSITIVE PR! But no, she chose rhis route. Crazy tbh
