Content

Hey girlies! We’ve seen your comments about posting our regular episodes on Patreon, and we want to understand exactly what you’re looking for! Is it about getting Patreon notifications when we post? Having all your DWKT content in one place? Or maybe something else? Let us know in the comments...we’d love to hear your thoughts!

If it’s helpful, we can start sharing the YouTube links for regular episodes here.

Just a quick heads-up though, due to our partnership with our podcast advertising company, we’re not able to post ad-free versions of these episodes on Patreon.on.

Comments

Lee

Could they be uncensored?

Diana

I mainly want it for everything to be in one place, but also the Patreon app lets you have a little screen off app to keep watching!

Diana

Youtube has this but only if you pay, and I’d rather pay the girlies!

Rachie

I watch on YT for you girlies to get the view - whatever helps

Katie Wika

I thought you guys had mentioned posting uncensored regular episodes here, is that still going to be happening? Or only some episodes?

Beegraceee

Would love to have them in one place, especially if the traffic to Patreon helps you, but also if they were uncensored that would be cool(and if they get demonetized on YT or something they could still be up here?)

isabel

i actually prefer that this is exclusive content only! i prefer watching eps on youtube, so having this feed be members content only allows me to see what i’ve already seen or missed 🩷

Ashley Nimoy

I listen to them while I clean houses. If y'all ever want to release the whole 2 hour plus unedited versions, I'd listen.

Kylie Muder

Personally, I don’t mind if they’re not all the same place however I think it would be great if you posted uncensored versions here. (Things you bleep out only cause of YouTube’s craziness etc) also it would be fun if you left in funny cuts or something you’d normally take out of regular episodes

Katherine

I think some people are confused by what you meant by "uncensored".

Amy Ventura

Uncensored and/or extended versions of the podcast would be cool! But if the episodes are going to be exactly the same I don’t think a duplicate post on Patreon is necessary IMO, but interested to hear what the other girlies think cause maybe I’m missing something

Karla Loveira

Hi girlies! From my experience with other patreon subscriptions (The Basement Yard) they would post weekly, their bonus episodes and regular episode, in Patreon and for us as viewers that meant no YouTube adds on regular episodes, as we could just watch it from Patreon. I’m guessing that’s the reason some people are requesting it.

Taylor 🎃👻

I don’t mind your sponsored ads but I’d love to watch on Patreon to do without the YouTube ads! Not sure if that’s an option but I’ll be watching either way 💗

Victoria

I prefer not to have them on here. For some reason patreon is already dumb to navigate and I feel like this would add content to the mess that I already watch on YouTube

Holly J

Maybe posting them without the ads inserted by wherever you host the audio-only episodes? Still keep the ads read by you, but without the commercials that are inserted by the host. Like the uncensored podcast episode you posted before

Monie October

Agreed, Patreon is annoying for videos

Anette

Uncensored and no ads. If it’s not too much trouble. Otherwise nothing at all 🙃

Andrew Giglio

I want J&L to continue to pull in ad revenue from YoutTube. Patreon was never supposed to supplant that. Alerts here to uploads on YouTube might be helpful for others.

Maddison

I’m not sure if this is an option but by having your YouTube posted videos on Patreon, would that mean we could download them to watch the video offline ? YouTube offers this but only under membership

Cassidy McHenry

My main issue is that Patreon doesn’t cast good to my tv and so I was wondering if the special content that gets posted on here could get an unlisted YouTube link? Its easier for me to play that on my tv then trying to get Patreon to work with my Apple casting. Love you girlies!🩷

Vicky R

I honestly thought this is what we would be getting on Patreon as part of the subscription.

Jenni S.

I will say I was surprised they weren't on here because I am a patron to others who post all their episodes uncensored on their Patreon. From a business perspective, I get it, though. I am happy my YT premium also helps support you guys.

Mollie

I think the biggest difference would be for people who don't have YouTube Premium. I have Premium, so I forget that YT pops extra ads into videos.

Do We Know Them?

We do upload uncensored versions on here when we need to mute lots of words for YouTube! That just thankfully hasn’t been the case lately lol as for extra content we cut - I prooooomise we don’t cut out anything we like. We only cut out us going to the bathroom, grabbing another truly, repeating lines and pauses etc.

Angie

I just thought we'd be gettingthe "uncensored" version. Like the ones where you don't have to bleep out certain words. For example having to bleep out the word "abuse" from the episode. Etc.....Lily you can keep the Island Boys weiner censored though. Nobody wants to see that! 😅

Camila

I prefer the videos on YouTube. It’s a lot better to watch, I don’t like the way Patreon is with videos. Maybe you could post the link to YouTube or something similar

Yuliya Zaretskaya

There would still be ads because they can’t post ad-free versions. They left a note at the end of their post.

Becky S

I don't mind either way but I picked yes mainly so I know when the new episode is up. You know if life kicks your butt and it's later lol If it was just an extra notification in here like "hey our new episode is out" id be cool with that too.

Kylie Muder

Not me sweatingggg cause you guys read and responded to my criticism 😅 it was all out of love I swear! Thanks for responding and clarifying.

Payton Baxter

the sponsors IN the video never bother me, it’s the unskippable youtube ads that make it difficult to sit thru hour plus videos

Angie

I'm not saying to take out the Sponsorship. They can have an uncensored version of the podcast here. And they can turn off the youtube ads for the uncensored version. I know crime weekly does that for thier paterons since I'm a member of them and also Girls next level does the same.

Do We Know Them?

Omg girl you are SO fine lmao please always feel free to voice any concerns regarding your subscription!! Thanks for being here 💛

thecouncilofconnor

id personally like to see fully uncensored (within reason obviously dont start showing us weird stuff lol) versions of the episodes so we can actually hear the words "pedophelia" and "sexualize" since im pretty sure we're all mature enough to handle that as girlies

Dallas🌻

Honestly I just love when I'm able to view the bonus eps on YouTube after opening it in Patreon (I just prefer Yt to view/download episodes and keep track of what I've watched)

Sara Sabotage

I think I'd like uncensored versions of every episode. Not just excessive bleeping. Yano. I thought that's what was happening from jump, but reading the comments here I was confused lol... i would just like actually extra episodes... ive paid twice maybe 3 times now and ive only seen like 3 videos (love the bts and such. Just not a whole extra 2 episodes I'm paying for it feels) but i have a TBI so I might be confusing how long it's been around d as whats out

Holly

I prefer to watch on YouTube but would watch here if uncensored

Do We Know Them?

Hey! We have posted 2 bonus episodes a month since the launch of our Patreon! We’re on ep 7 if you’re a diabolical tier member and that’s coming out tomorrow! Be sure to visit the “bonus episodes” section to make sure you’re not missing any! As for uncensored videos, we can only post those when we have something to uncensor if that makes sense lol. Otherwise, it’d be the same exact ep we post on YT!

Literally 🧡 Just 🤍 Jay 🩷

Aren't episodes ad-free when you post them via Patreon with a YT link? That's what I want! And when I say ad-free, I'm referring to YT ads, not your ad reads. It would be amazing to get uncensored episodes too but that doesn't always apply and might be too much effort.

Taryn Friedman

Tbh, I’d love to see the unedited episodes. I realize that might not be possible but I’d love to see the versions that aren’t edited.

Literally 🧡 Just 🤍 Jay 🩷

Yes it is. Why should we have to pay for both Patreon and YT premium to not have ads? Especially when the girlies are getting our Patreon subs + their sponsorship money, regardless. I've never subscribed to a podcast on Patreon that doesn't offer ad-free episodes. No one's saying to skip their ad read sponsorships.

Natasha Sonsie

I think I assumed I would be getting more content then this. I know youu have to balance everything and i don't want you to over work, but if you could maybe have 'uncut' versions on here that are longer? ♥️

Alena Rael

I don’t mind the adds I just don’t want the YouTube adds 😅

Sara Sabotage

Ill keep my eye out tomorrow then. Can't wait!

Kiera

I don't want YouTube ads plus it's helpful having everything in one place 🙂 I thought it was always the plan to post them here but I guess I just assumed whoops 🤪

Andrew Giglio

Ad free YT episodes were never part of the Patreon (the exception being the episodes YouTube would demonetize due to content in which case it’s ad free on both). They were clear about that from the beginning. If you want to pay for YouTube to forego ads you (anyone) are free to do so.

Jan

I thought we were getting all the episodes on here uncensored, never thought about the ads. That’s all I care about

Ugh a lug

Uncensored videos- my interpretation of this is not censoring language. people want to see the conversations you typically wouldn’t keep in, your full reactions to non-update assets, parts you may perceive as boring, etc. this obviously doesn’t pertain to any personal or private aspects that naturally can come up since you are friends. Ad free vireos- not sponsorship free but free from the YouTube ads. Early access(?) - I have no idea how uploading to patreon works so idk if it’s possible but a lot of YouTuber patrons release their content slightly earlier to patreon than YT. If it’s possible to upload to patreon even a few hours earlier than YT it would be a fun perk but is only possible if Patreon has magically quick upload speeds in comparison to YT.

Ann-Marie Elder

If you uploaded here I can lock my phone and when I want to “watch” unlock it and start to watch like the little clips you guys add. It saves my phone battery a little better.

Kevin Abroad

Yeah, a longer cut of the episodes would be so cool

Kevin Abroad

That's what I assumed you cut out. I have my own YouTube channel and "unedited" videos are really unwatchable haha. That's why we edit 😁. But tbf I also had the impression that you cut out rants/extra takes to make episodes more concise. I think the other girlies think that too

mehbeans

I love the ideas others have shared about an unedited & uncensored version of the videos! I don’t know how well this would work since the assets are put in *after* the video cuts, but I really enjoy listening to the ramblings or going off topic!

Jennifer Crowe

This! I like when the links hare are just private videos on YouTube... It's just so much easier for me to keep track of if I can't watch right away... I can always throw it in my watch later and come back

Literally 🧡 Just 🤍 Jay 🩷

This is a bad take and a bad opinion to have. The question is no longer about what we originally subscribed to when the creators are quite literally asking for our opinions on what we want. And it seems like everyone else in the comments here largely agrees about the YouTube ads.

Kacy Daniel

I had no idea you could do this with Patreon. You’re a saint

Andrew Giglio

I think a bad take is expecting Jessi, Lily et al to slash their revenue because you don’t want to watch ads. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Nanciee

I just want to watch the pod without youtube’s 2+ min long ad coming out every 20 mins

Madelyn René

I vote no because I imagine it’ll impact how much much money you make per YouTube video (podcast episodes on other services) if people are only engaging it on Patreon! I want you guys to thrive so DONT YOU DARE. LET US SUPPORT YOU ON YOUTUBE

Katie Dodge

Uncensored versions plus being able to lock my phone and the audio still plays via patreon app. However, don't upload here if it would negatively impact the YouTube metrics/your income. If I were you, I would upload to YouTube first so that you still get the views from the patreon members, and then maybe upload the uncensored version to patreon the following day. I like to watch each episode twice anyway!

Julie Marcum

I voted no because I don't want y'all to lose likes, views, and watch time on YouTube. Also, I don't want y'all to have to work even harder than you already do. If you do put uncensored versions of regular episodes on Patreon, I would watch both 💜

Ashley

I would love some uncut content. When you guys say you've been at it for hours, I instantly wish I'd gotten to be there for it all. It would be amazing to have a three hour episode to veg out to. Maybe wait a few days after your YouTube upload that way you still get your numbers on that platform, but yeah. Raw, uncut, tangents and all.

max

this is how i feel! if it’s only/mostly on YT, i can keep track of what i’ve watched or missed. even now, i sometimes get recommended on my YT feed the uncensored videos i watched on Patreon. anything on here i know is different

Vahnyah

Girlies, you asked, so I’ll oblige! I just want to start by saying I’ve been a huge fan since episode 1 The overall sentiment seems to be that the bonus episodes feel a bit short and different compared to the full-length episodes. Don’t get me wrong—I enjoy them but they don’t quite cover the same type of content you usually do. Also for reference, the last 50 ep of the pod average around 1 hr and 20 min per episode, which is about the combined length of two bonus episodes. At $10 per month, which is comparable to services like Spotify or Netflix, most creators tend to drop extended episodes around 40 minutes or more weekly. To add, I personally have YT Premium, but I know many people would much rather pay you girlies for a higher-tier option than for YT Premium. If you could post the episodes directly (with sponsors, of course) but without relying on YouTube ads, I think it would be a win-win for everyone! P.S. And honestly, for the overly supportive people guilt-tripping the rest of us about even mentioning this, maybe you could double the ads just for them—seems like they’d love to support you that much more! Just some lighthearted feedback from a loyal listener. 💐

Mak

Very well put and I totally agree with everything you said

Mak

Same

Claudia

I love this idea, still get the views on youtube but then we know there’s something coming in the next few days! Also dying to see uncut episodes of the pod!

Vahnyah

Thank you —it just seemed by the way the comments were going that we would never get there 😂

Ariana

Whatever is best for you girlies! Either here or on YouTube I’m still gonna watch 😆

Tiffany

Agreed. I was at the $10 tier at first and then downgraded to $5 because $10 just wasn’t worth what I was getting with the bonus content

emryjoy

So for me i would love the episodes on patreon mostly cause on my laptop i use adblockers for youtube and everything else but not on my phone - so whenever im travelling or watching youtube on my phone i cant exit the app or it will pause. When you upload to patreon i can watch the video on my phone wherever and do other things which is a feature i really like, especially when I'm on transit! I listen on spotify sometimes but i prefer to see your faces :) i also dont mind the sponsors at all , like you said recently you keep them fun lol

Kciri

Yeah, I have premium too so I forgot about those pesky YT ads. But from what I know and don't quote me on this lol ... those ads pays the girlies (the Google ad sense thingy)... so I'm not sure if they can be removed or if it's good for them if they remove the ads. That's their income. 😕🥺

Melissa Petzer

For me I would just like episodes without youtube ads. I don’t mind the ad reads for like the partner companies. It would just be nice to have episodes on Patreon that dont have youtube ads.

Erin

For me, I don't mind the ads or navigating Patreon (although I do agree that it's kind of difficult), it's literally just that my adhd brain cannot stay on one app for 1 hour +. On Patreon, I can watch picture-in-picture and also be following whatever random train of thought my brain is on at the same time. On Youtube, it takes me days to get through an episode because of the amount of times I close the app to do something else and then forget that I was watching it. Right now, I'm on a 3-month free trial of YT Premium so it's all good but I think at the end of that I'll have to choose between this Patreon and a YT Premium subscription, I unfortunately can't justify paying for both!

Jas Santillana

So just my opinion- all in love and kindness ❤️❤️❤️ When I first subscribed I was under the impression that a bonus episode would be similar to a regular episode, just additional. They so far haven't been that way, and for the cost of the membership that has been disappointing for me (when the length of the 2x monthly uploads combined only equal the length of ONE of the two weekly episodes.) It would be nice to get a bit more effort as the paying community - in my opinion. Id also love to get the YouTube uploads on patreon, with the ad reads included, so everythings in one place!🥰🥰 It'd be cool to get either unedited or extended episodes if that ever made sense for you girlies!! Definitely not just links TO the YouTube video though. Thanks for listening to my feedback ❤️❤️ nothing but love! Xx

Holly

I just like having it all in one place! I am but a simple person with simple needs 😂😂

Jilrene

The other YouTube creator I follow on Patreon uploads their regular episodes on Patreon a day before uploading on YouTube. It's not a bonus, just a perk to see the episode first and no YouTube commercials. They only post once a week, so there's less pressure and they have a studio and a crew for filming.

Daria Deckert

I like one place and YouTube is shit at notifications

DwaalAtticSalt

I personally would LOVE the full rant/“mean” opinions from the first handful of episodes when you guys would cut out opinions or takes because you thought they were too harsh. You guys have opened up more about your honest opinions, so that wouldn’t be possible for current videos. But I want to know what you *really* thought when you guys were just warming up and not sure how your takes would be perceived yet.

Alex Peacock

I’d just prefer uncensored versions of the podcast, I like hearing all the adult language and unfiltered thoughts.

Vahnyah

I get it, and their Patreon could thrive by keeping subs like us coming back weekly, boosting perceived value. The $10 tier is the most profitable long-term, but you need to keep subs engaged enough to stick around.

Jasmoonz

uncensored and without ads

DarthSarah

- Patreon has a better notification system - Patreon has no ads (if you watch on normal YT and not premium) - Patreon can picture-in-picture (again YT only does this with premium) - Uncensored without ad//sponsors would be cool (plus you can claim it as a benefit) - Maybe the first episode of every month could be early access on Patreon? I’m talking like an hour or two early. Not days. As a little extra benefit?

Simple Ellements

I'd actually prefer extended "regular episodes" than actual bonus videos. And by extended I mean less edited or cut versions. I actually like when you guys veer off topic or go on tangents. I mean that's how we have the eggfluencer lore! Plus, I think the idea of having to film extra content might be taxing on your schedule, so an extended cut seems less time consuming in adding extra time to film something. Granted, I do realize editing something two different ways is also time consuming. Just thought I'd share what I was hoping the membership would include.

Caitlyn

I would love if you opted to do a longer Livestream once a month rather than an edited bonus episode. I know the Livestream trauma is strong but I promise, most of us want to hear you ramble about anything. I listen to videos when I'm doing chores or working so like all the time. I want background noise and to body double so the longer, the better.

Samantha Allen

I keep seeing this from different people and even saw it somewhere else recently too. Can you not watch YouTube while doing other things on your phone?? I’ve always been able to and I don’t have YouTube Premium. I would watch so little if it stopped playing when I went other places…

Mak

Agreed on the bonus episodes. I subscribed because I love the regular podcast episodes and was thinking that the bonuses would be more of that.

Andrea

As much as I understand people's assumption that Patreon is for regular content AND bonus content, having just bonus content on here feels like enough. Knowing how the schedule can sometimes get crazy for you girlies, I like knowing that if the edit is taking longer than expected, I'm not going to get annoyed that I'm "paying" for regular episodes. Plus, the nature of your podcast needs to be in the moment and since you don't have a timeline for any extra help anytime soon, having just bonus episodes on here, polls for us to fill out and other little trinkets exclusive to Patreon members is good enough for me : )

Erin

It's weird, with some channels I can. I can always watch Philip DeFranco and Swoop picture-in-picture, but most channels just stop playing if I close the app, and unfortunately DWKT is one of them 😭

Ashley

Can we please get unedited versions? I am always so curious what the the other girlie is saying when you cut the mics!

Linn

Agreed!

angie

i just wanna be able to exit the app and multitask with you guys going and i have patreon but not youtube premium 😭

Fal

When I watch bonus episode there’s a YouTube logo in the bottom right I click that and it takes me to the unlisted YouTube vid, which I then cast to my tv.

MD

I also subscribed to this bc I thought we would be getting 2 extra podcasts a month. I am absolutely not discrediting the bonus episodes we have gotten, they are very entertaining. But I have been disappointed to see that we aren’t really getting extra episodes like I thought.

Meghann Myers

I listen on Spotify Premium but podcasts still have ads, so when I can, I listen to podcasts on Patreon.

Greta and Daria

Just want the regular episodes without the extra YouTube ads!! Don’t mind listening to a sponsorship

Natalie Hernandez

Your usual ads are fine! I'm more interested in uncensored/raw opinions that you guys have on topics that if on YouTube you'd be demonetized. There are topics that deserve to be talked about with empathy, delicacy, and grace but have to be heavily edited to avoid demonetization/flagged from a lot of commentary channels on other platforms.

Tracy Theresa

I would also like the uncensored episodes. Last I checked there were only 4 episodes posted uncensored. That has not been kept up at all. Although I would love not to have ads, I think just hearing your uncensored thoughts would be more worth the monthly fee.

SparkyRebooted

same, I'm here for the extra content, not the regular stuff from YT

Corinne

I totally get where people are coming from, but I think 10 episodes per month between YT and here is a ton of content. I find the $10 a month for two bonus eps fair, especially along with your misc other posts on here. Making the bonus episodes a little longer once you have extra help would be nice. I’d rather that than an uncensored version of YT content.

. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁Noelle ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁

I would love to cancel my youtube premium and fully support yall, I dont mind your ads at all but I really only pay for youtube premium to listen to the regular episodes without ads. Having the regular uncensored episodes posted regularly would be amazing

Georgia Nixon-Scout

Posting regular episodes on here would elevate my experience here so much!!

Georgia Nixon-Scout

10 months late lol but Having regular episodes from YouTube linked & organised in a playlist would be absolutely awesome tbh and make a huge difference to me re: value as a member!! Reason is I’m Australian & can’t use Picture in Picture on yt without YouTube premium </3 So 99% of the time I Spotify the girlies so I can still mess around on my phone But genuinely some topics just aren’t the same without the visual!! And switching back and forth between yt Spotify gets annoying and disruptive to whatever app I’m trying to sink my time in to Patreon app works for Picture in Picture however! links or uploads to regular episodes (past and present 🙏) on the patreon app would be awesome and a game changer for me. I understand you can’t avoid the YouTube ads btw, idc. If this isn’t possible could you consider having a video option for Spotify? Love you girlies x TLDR: can only access Picture in Picture with patreon not yt and I want to play Pokémon go and watch you guys at the same time pls 🙏🙏
