I think the difference too between this and call her daddy back in the day is that was 2 friends (sometimes guests) basically talking about shit you would normally say in private about your sex life on camera but it felt fun and funny and like girl talk. I’ve supported Jessi for about 10 years, have been watching this podcast since the very first episode and founding out that you’ve not only decided not to speak on such issues, but BLOCK people that ask you to speak on it and refuse to take part in Creators for Palestine and blocking the person that msged you asking to participate says a lot. When you don’t want to speak about it, you let your actions speak. Your actions say that I’ve been fooled thinking you are good hearted people and actually care. And Jessi, if your husband is a trump supporter just say it, like you’ve advised other people to before. If he isn’t - say it. I cancelled my subscription here and I will no longer be watching your podcast. I am just heartbroken and really sad, it’s honestly the only channel I ever decided to spend my money on and support. Your actions speak too loud. On the other hand, look at SmokeyGlow channel. She does just 1 minute segment talking about resources and ways to help without going into detail. That’s the least I can expect from a podcast that already talks about serious issues like abortions, sa, abuse etc. Address the issues and I will consider watching your podcast again.

yes b/c this is clearly a political podcast *insert sarcasm here* If you are looking to Jessi and Lily for political stances on global issues then you are in the wrong place, and frankly even they would agree that there are other places for you to access nuanced and informed opinions and/or resources. You even mentioned one such channel while carefully dodging any of the shady behaviors of said channel, so clearly you do know how to pick and choose your sources. It's incredibly annoying that after the last few years we are still acting as if podcasters with 100k+ subscribers can affect global geopolitics. You want to have the performance of activism without any of the actual hard work behind said activism.

Speaking for myself....one of the reasons why I love this podcast is because it's often a BREAK from the world and the shit storm we are living in. I love being able to giggle and gossip about crap on the internet as a bit of escapism, I think you're acting extremely entitled in demanding what Jessi and Lily should and shouldn't do to appease you. This was incredibly out of touch and I don’t think anyone appreciates the tone you are taking. Do not assume people stance on political matters, they could be doing 10x more than you are for these issues behind the scenes but don’t feel the need to be performative and keep their platform a safe escape for us. We all prefer it this way.
