the remi bader thing does bother me quite a bit. not because she lost weight as a plus sized influencer, but because she gaslit her audience for months saying "its stress" "its working out and eating right" when it wasnt. it was GLP-1s. people wouldnt have been upset if she didnt gaslit her fanbase like every influencer/famous person ever. that was such a let down

remis situation genuinely frustrates me. as someone who lives in a bigger body i cannot believe she hid that, ik it’s stupid but thought something was wrong w me bc i also have binge eating disorder and did th e workouts, ate right, “the way she did..” im disappointed. i also trusted her reviews now no more.

Bridal drama is so tedious. It’s the exact same thing over and over. It’s the same with hairdressers or nail salons. Poor customer service is “drama” now?? Really? I know some people love this stuff but to me it takes the podcast so far away from its “Do We Know Them?” concept. Someone with a handful of followers getting bad service at a bridal store or a crap haircut isn’t “Do We Know Them?” 😭

I disagree. The whole premise to me was big creator drama. Not someone who isn’t even a creator getting a haircut they don’t like or having a bad experience in a bridal store. That isn’t drama…that’s just normal life. The Do We Know Them concept was supposed to mean that even if they don’t know them, they know creator life and what might be happening behind the scenes from their own experience. That’s completely irrelevant when it’s just someone complaining about a nail salon. If you look at the first few episodes it was 8 Passengers, the Ace Family, Def Noodles, The Try Guys, Coleen Ballinger. Now it’s some woman who doesn’t like her bridal photos???

there HAVE been times where the girlies end up knowing people in these “petty tiktok drama” situations, like jessie knowing the swimsuit creator from the last episode. sometimes there isn’t that much HUGE drama happening within the week, what else are they supposed to report on? just skip the episode because they don’t know them personally? at the end of the day it’s their show, we’re fortunate that they give us options at all lol maybe you aren’t trying to be rude but complaining here is odd to me. it’s free content, i’m thankful we get anything

I just told my husband the bridal ones feel the same as the people complaining about hairstylists or nail techs. It's all just slimy behavior to put someone who's not online on blast. And they all kinda sound the same. I still watch every episode many, many times tho! 🤌🏼

Firstly, I never said they had to personally know everyone they discuss. I said the premise of the podcast was to offer an insiders perspective because, even if they don’t know the creator personally, they know the industry and how it works or they know people who know the creator etc. That premise becomes utterly irrelevant if it’s just a woman complaining that she had poor service in a bridal shop. They haven’t discussed Cody Ko returning to YouTube. I’m Alex addressing the accusations against him. The H3H3 situation. Jake Paul’s documentary. Coachella drama that wasn’t someone pretending to fall out with a friend over VIP tickets. The iDubbz situation. These are all the sort of things Do We Know Them would have covered back when it was first conceptualised. Now topics are taken from TikToks terrible FYP. That’s not rude, that’s just a factual description of how the channel has changed. As Jessie and Lily say themselves…someone giving polite, critical feedback isn’t being rude and isn’t a hater. I’m paying for the privilege of being able to give feedback here. I’m not trying to be, nor am I being rude. I am paying for Patreon access. This is a vote that is quite literally about what content we’d like, and also be default not like, to see.

Missed the poll earlier this week because #newbornlife but idk why so many people hate bridal drama.. let’s be real a lot of the drama covered is nonsensical and petty to the average person 😂 minus a few certain topics, but we love to hear the opinions and tea from Jessi and Lily, this is why we watch and sub to Patreon. Unfortunately you can’t please everyone so specifically to Lily and Jessi ignore the hate or the comments here and anywhere else criticizing the topic choice. The poll was put up and always is and the topic with the most votes wins. And to the patrons, I understand voicing your opinion but at the same time can we maybe not be so upset about it because if you don’t like it just skip by that particular segment 🤷🏻‍♀️ or even the episode of skipping it is too much “work” for you. It’s not that big of a deal, really and truly. All the love and thanks to Jessi and Lily for doing this 🩷🩷

After watching the episode and being someone who had a GVS surgery, I actually understand a bit (maybe) of what was and wasn’t going through her head. Like, did she get to a point where it was so far gone, she couldn’t just say it in a regular tiktok. Perhaps that’s why she did the interview with Khloe? She clearly didn’t remember how she had led her audience astray. I’m hoping she sees the episode and takes accountability for any damage caused. But that’s asking a lot…
