i think it's less about them being different in the way they show love & more about the performative nature of it. like the way they portray it feels performative specifically for views. i actually think they do seem like a good match & that they really like each other, but the way the content is framed feels dystopian in a way that isnt too harsh to criticize (imo ofc). i get where you're coming from though. ultimately i get why they talked about it

if you told me that he was an actor she hired to play the role of her boyfriend, i would have said that he really needed to get to know the character much better, and not just rehearse the lines he's supposed to give when he gets his turn to respond to her prompt. I know people are seeing red flags for him. I'm not, but i still have no clue what his personality is, what he enjoys, who he is....anything at all that makes him seem like more than her lap dog. He's a good looking, very agreeable lap dog, but even then, he's a boring one.

This is probably TMI, but I met my boyfriend on FB. He made a funny comment and I added him. We were friends on FB for years and talked casually. I was dating another guy, and he could tell it was bad. He never made a move or even flirted, he just talked to me like a friend and he was there for me. I realized he was actually incredible when I was on my way home from applying for an order of protection from my boyfriend because he threatened my cats lives multiple times and he also treated me like complete shit. I had to get it to get him out of my apartment. Anyway, on the way back from that I rear ended somebody while sending him a voice note. I told him, panicking, thinking he was going to call me stupid or be an ass about it, but he said "it's okay. Just stay calm." And asked if I was okay. I will never forget that.

It just seems too performative on her part. I kind of feel bad for him. My husband and I both knew within a few days that we were each other’s person so it’s not about that. But everyone around us could also tell that we were too. Maybe these two are different off camera but something about this seems very forced. Like she’s trying to make it something that it isn’t.
