... it's finally happening, girlies. After coutnless requests, Jessi will be taking Lily on long awaited journey into the depths of GORL WORLD aka teaching her all about the one and only Amberlynn Reid. This is only Part 1 and while we cannot definitively say how many parts there will be, anyone that knows anything about Gorl World knows that it cannot fit into just one part.... so starting now, and for the next few weeks (exact timing TBD), prepare yourselves because every other bonus episode will be dedicated to diving a little deeper until we complete this journey together.

I will say from a mental health perspective, diagnoses can shift often for people in treatment, especially for folks with BPD (keywords: in treatment with a provider of some sort, which I don’t know that she is or ever was.) People with BPD can also present with narcissistic tendencies (SOME of them, not all — there are actually subtypes of BPD that have been widely accepted by clinicians, but are not currently in the DSM.) Listening to the weight loss cycles portion was particularly hard because I’m a fat person and I know how hard it is to go through those cycles. I’m sure she really felt motivated during those times when she would start the process, but as y’all compared it to an addiction, you can see where she falls off the wagon, per se, and people really dog piled on her. Her “cycle” of bingeing and dieting, plus having lymphedema on top of being fat… it’s really something you won’t understand until you’ve lived it. Do I think she’s a great person? No. Do I think she’s a dishonest person? Yes. Are there some stigmatizing parts of this episode when it comes to BPD and being fat, which are already EXTREMELY stigmatized issues? Also yes. Hmmm

I will say, I didn't get my license until I was 24 because I was so scared to drive. I wasn't scared of being in the car, and I had never even been in a car crash. I used to have super duper duper bad anxiety. Like to the point where I wouldn't even go in a checkout lane. I'd give people my money to buy the thing for me so I didn't have to talk to the cashier lol

I have a family member with BPD and she has lied about being abused using other people’s abuse stories repackaged as her own. Interesting to see Amber Lynn doing the same thing.

Oh, Mr Snowflake calls her "mop legs" because she doesn't hem her pants so they drag around when she's going places, but especially in reference to them being able to mop up gas station bathrooms. I also have some qualms about Mr. Snowflake's coverage of Amber, he has done some questionable things to get interviews, but his docs are solid.
