Hey everyone, a new journey begins now: Pelican Harbor enters Early Access!

You can now playtest the game through the 🎣 Early Pelican tier. With your support, I'd love to bring some fresh wind into the rhythm game genre! So, please join the game's discord to share your feedback, connect with other Pelicans and report any technical issues with builds!

My goal is to upload new builds or around every 1-2 weeks, always sharing what I've added, changed or fixed. I want you to feel part of the journey as the game grows! Also, supporting here on Patreon means a lot more to me, than you would think. Thank you so much and have fun playtesting!

📚 How to run Pelican Harbor (Windows only):

Download the "Pelican_Harbor_v0.1.0.zip" file and extract it.

Inside the extracted folder, run "Pelican Harbor.exe".

When running the game, you will need to authenticate yourself with your Patreon Account (Only every 24 hours)

⚠️ Known problems and how to fix:

When launching the game (.exe), nothing happens: Open your browser manually and try launching the game again! It likely failed to open a browser itself because you'll need to authenticate yourself first!

Hello, I have a few feedback I'm enjoying the game and i see a lot of potential in its release. pros - I like the bpm selection and saving profiles - island idea and owning islands gives a lot of potential for different loot and camp designs - I like the selling of fish to traders, I hope there will be unique interactions with traders - I love the movement of the birds being able to fly cons - You clip through trees; I would love to be able to fish on top of them or jump from them - clicking on the fishing minigame seems like too much especially for red rarity - being able to left click on the bpm selection as a slider - Setting your bench, camp, and campfire seems permanent would like to be able to move said items Overall, I love the game and see a lot of things for it!

I think for the clicking there should be 2 different modes for casual players and players that want to use the click option

Hi I have been following the project for 4 months and I wish you good luck. there is a bug that on the islands lighthouse stands to the side of the water and throw fuel is not possible. also I would like that there would be customization when catching to be able to put squares and more detailed sensitivity settings, and I would also like to see auto click. I wish you good luck in all things

The game is wonderful! But I also have a suggestion: instead of only clicking on the circles with the mouse, how about having a mode where you press keyboard keys? Like A, S, D, J, K, L. Since I come from rhythm games like Guitar Hero, Clone Hero, etc., I’d love to see a system like that implemented in the game!

How does the songs work in the game does the game have to hear the full song before it calculates or how does it work?

You easily set the BPM yourself! :) Before you start playing the rhythm game, you tap your keys or mouse buttons to whatever beat you hear. The game then takes your inputs to calculate the BPM! So it works with any song with linear tempo

i think the rythem aspect was meant to be more like osu which i love but there could be settings for both like osu and osu!mainia

the only problem im running into so far is my game lags really bad for no reason i can have nothing open and i can have my task manager open and i cant fix it idk what else to do other wise its fun

In case it's just performance related, try setting the 'Water Detail' setting to 'Fast', decrease the render dinstance, disable DOF and VSync and check whether selecting 60 or 120 FPS helps :) Otherwise it might be some software conflicts especially for recording or clipping! Also make sure your monitor refreshrate is similar to the FPS you select in game 💛 If you're still having issues, join our discord server discord.gg/pelicanharbor, there are lots of people who could help you out!

why cant i load in i click new pelican then the game freezes but i can move my mouse and hear music

I have seen an issue that has been occurring almost every time i play the game but sometimes it likes to freeze the game but i can still move around based on sound effects, just thought id bring it up. it might be my laptop but if not see if you can check it out

When i try to open the game through the file. Multiple of my anti-viruses flag the .exe file and tell me that its not safe. Is there a way to fix this? Or is the file actually unsafe?

Try to open your browser manually and launch the game again! The game wants to open the browser to authenticate on Patreon on launch but it likely failed to do so. If you have any other issues, join the game's Discord server discord.gg/pelicanharbor and state your issue :)

This game is amazing, I found out about it on tiktok a while ago and ive been dying to play it. Now that I've played it, I can say this game is awesome. I cant wait for the full release on steam so I can grind with my friends.

Okay man i did buy that and im SHOCKED that you created it on your own engine. I dont really know how hard it becomes but im really pride that game dev is on that level, im gonna be here and give you feedback as i play your game. For now i can only tell you few things. 1. When you change your keybinds on UI it does not update it sill says A/S/D if you know what i mean 2. Spotify just got an hudge update and now you can see BPM on every song, maybe you can use it somehow in your game. You Have spotify API on the internet I belive you can do this. And finally i would like to appriciate you for creating such an amazing game im gonna play this whole day. <3

hey im having trouble launching your game everytime i try and open it it says failed to launch JVM do you know how to fix this (edit i fixed it)

Hello, for some reason i'm having issues with streaming the game to my friends on discord...The moment they join my stream and watch for a few seconds, the stream just freezes to one frame and completely dies out for them no matter how often we restart the stream or discord itself.

I don't know if anyone else has had this happen but when trying to sell a fish near the water and also having the release fish option the game will crash.
