dani lizano

JohnnySmoke

early upload holy shit im bout to bust LISAN AL GAIB

HBK713🏄🏾‍♂️

Appreciate y'all for this early release because I waited since it first release to watch again

Mohd

btw for yalls info, lisan al gaib is an arabic word, translates to tounge of the unseen/unknown, and al mahdi is the name of the real islam messiah, almost all whats in dune is inspired from arab culture and islam

WAY

Appreciate them for this fr. This movie was a whole other experience in theaters.

Unok457

It’s sad seeing Stilagr in this movie. Early on, those moments where he kept saying Paul is the one seemed comical. Near the end, it’s shown that he really believed in what he was saying and was just a blind believer who didn’t even care about what Paul wanted. It’s sad seeing this great man from movie 1 reduced to this in this film.

Kareem Davis

THEY ARE THE CHOSEN. AN EARLY RELEASE!!!!!

Unok457

Also, theme of the movie is that messiah’s should not be blindly followed. Dune is a cautionary tale of Messiahs and heroes

Kyle Garrett

So they don't' talk about it in this movie but we'll get more in the next but what happened to the sister is called being Pre-Born; you come to full consciousness/personality in the womb. Wont' go into full detail cause of spoilers but yeah keep a HEAVY eye on that/remember it 😈😈😈

Seth Aasland

*paul breathes* stilgar: “as written! LISAN AL GAIB!!”

Dre

The Baron is his grandfather, not his father

Im Kalikk

dawg this alone is a minor spoiler. You can at least edit it to take out PB, you feel me?

David Young

Paul did said hello father he said grandfather before he killed the baron. I’m so happy yall figured out that was his grandfather and stopped saying that was his dad because I was about to clap yall in the comments 😭

godUsoland

LISAN AL GAIB! LISAN AL GAIB! LISAN AL GAIB!

von

Vladimir Harkonen is his mothers father not Paul’s 😂 He said grandfather not hello father

JotaroDrake

Lupa’s jump scare @32:29 LMFAOOOOOOO

Carlos

Pretty sure he said that in the first movie too lol

JotaroDrake

Crip walking in the sand 😭

Jacob Lauder

I was about to go to bed early... now I'm going to bed late haha

Joe hustle

Think of drinking the water of life like talking with the past avatars for women and for men you start seeing the multiple futures not set in stone

Grelk

wh-what?! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Darren Banks

lol theories were going brazy this part 😂

Melon Lord

It's crazy, cause in the theater I misheard the exact same shit

DarkHorse24

Lupa really said I got a question real quick😂😂😂😂

Koifull

Funny thing is, I had the exact same misunderstanding when I watched this in cinemas.

nicholazsyx

HE DROPPED IT EARLY LISAN AL GAIB

Worpus

Paul is not the good guy, so I think it's probably ok. I don't think anyone is making direct fun of your religion, lmao.

Arkan Matlub

This movie is 2 hours and 46 minutes idk where tf that Lupa say happened

Tyler

lmaooooo not his father, his mom's father. baron is basically his grandfather

Amos

Plz check out the books too on yall own time😫😫

Darren Banks

lol yo they really went "all white people look the same" with his visions... I can't breathe....

Worpus

Shields make the worms go ape shit, that's why in the beginning they don't have shields.

Darren Banks

lol roshi like.... I think it's chani. I think it's his sister.... I'm like. Come on guys. It's too on the nose 🤣

DarkHorse24

When feyd and Baron kissed

Weeknd

FINALLY

theninthhokage

Paul may not be the hero but he's not the villain either. Anyone trying to make either argument misses the whole point of the story, which gets elaborated on in Dune Messiah. I'd rather not get into spoilers considering most people haven't read the books, but you have to be careful of making anyone in this story a hero or villain. Although cliche, they really are all shades of grey.

Able

I appreciate yall wanting to put out a quality reaction with subs <3 Excited to see what yall thought!

hyakimaru dono

Lol its funny seeing the confusion on who Paul's dad is 🤣🤣🤣

Bleachsg

Oh shit legend

Seth Aasland

so first there was anakin skywalker. then there was eren yaeger. and now paul atreides. what have we learned from brown haired guys having prophetic abilities? tragedy.

Chris

A fun bit of lore is that, in the book, the plan if Jessica had followed instructions and had a daughter (fem-Paul essentially) was to marry her to Feyd-Rautha to end the Atreides-Harkonnen feud and potentially give birth to the Kwisatz-Haderach.

hyakimaru dono

This movie was just a dramatic version of slither.io

BYP CLOUD

technically Paul came first... considering Starwars was based off Dune.

Seth Aasland

true. i commented that as someone who’s only seen the film and not the read the book lol

sincere

preciate y’all getting this out this early

Smokey Barnes

Subtitles- GRANDFATHER “Naw he said hello father” 😭😭

dawn

its goes back in imax april 19th you guys should really watch it again on the biggest screen possible 100% worth it imo

Url Robbo

BRO WHAT I THOUGHT THIS WAS THURSDAY

dawn

they already stated the version they had didnt have subtitles thats why they were confused

Paul Reyes

I knew you guys were gonna pick up on so much stuff in this movie, and props to rewinding back on the Harkonnen reveal.

hyakimaru dono

With all that background music so would I... the only reason we clocked it was because of the subs

W-Fox

Haven't finished the reaction yet, just wanted to mention the Baron is Paul's grandfather, not father. Jessica also said she didn't know about the Baron either until she drank the poison, which would be odd why she wouldn't know who the baby daddy is.

Paul Reyes

Tbh, I watched it in the theaters and I ended up missing some dialogue too.

Sheraya san

Yo I’m dead at y’all thinking the Baron was Paul’s father 😂

Fred_D3

U guys think Jessica would forget having sex with the baron?? Loool if the baron was Paul’s direct father he wouldn’t be able to open the nuke vault

Jesus Perez

No one I know missed the Harkonnen reveal. Lol. It was funny tho.

DatKid_Kaneki

what more dialogue u need😭 lets get that iq up mane

Fred_D3

Naah they literally talked loudly over paul saying “the baron is your father” to his mum

Rainlyn Williams

brog he said grandfather you guys are getting old

Mr. Every

Mane, I’m good

JayTheEnlightened

W reaction, but I how yall hear father and not GRANDfather💀

Paul Reyes

How about people use their brains for once and figure shit out?

PushyDruid

they realize that at the end of the video...

YaBoyRoshi

I see a lot of yall not reading the caption…..to be expected but 🥴🥴🥴 WE DID NOT HAVE SUBTITLES WHEN WE WATCHED THE MOVIE, the harkonnen reveal was hard to hear for some reason, even on rewind. We understand now after seeing subs

Alex

Dude when me and my friend watched it in the theaters we thought the same thing can’t even blame y’all 😭😭

Cameron Craddock

Awesome reaction, this made my evening. Btw this movie is totally worth seeing a second time to get the theatre experience. I did a second run on it in a bigger theater than I could do on the opening day. Was 100% worth and would do a third if I'm feeling like it before it is out of theaters. I knew you guys would go back to check on that whole father/grandfather thing and figure it out, so I kept my hands off the pause button and comments till after haha. (tbh I didnt know like half of Feyd's lines until I saw this reaction with subtitles. We're all gonna miss something.)

Darion Vogt

Subtitles literally said Grandfather...bruh lol

jared zavala

roshi saved them from getting fully clapped

Paul Reyes

Read the caption dude…

Mubarez Ahmad

People wanna read subs but are incapable of reading the caption

Void

Peak

Michael Blake

Been waiting for this one. Great reaction.

Dark Shogun

I think the issue with her drinking the Water of Life while pregnant is that it transfers all the previous knowledge to the baby as well. Imagine being born with the knowledge of women from the past 300 years. The child will literally be wise even before she's born.

LUPASAN

Appreciate y’all not reading the caption 👍🏿 Good Looking out.

kingBD

This was a movie i was very glad i got to see in theaters! Didnt get to see dune 1 in theaters and wasnt gonna make that mistake again

Hey Hey Me

I also don't understand why they don't use more guns in the desert. They can't use shields anyway because it's catnip for sand worms.

Carlos

Paul "Demon Time" Atreides. That war council scene was raw as fuck. So glad I got to see this one in imax after covid robbed me off experiencing the first

warBossGhazghkull-chan (edited)

Comment edits

2026-10-09 18:00 literally in the subtitles: "grandfather"
2024-04-16 04:40

Key0

what a great movie. cant wait for part 3! i like the fact that josh brolin and batista are enemies in this movie too lol

Luffy_77

Dont worry Sheera I also thought the emperor's daughter was the one pregnant when I first watched this lol, the actresses just look very similar

pilbil

the fact that you PAID just to watch someone YOU KNEW makes nothing but jokes, just to be shocked that he still makes jokes

Yehaen

Not all these people saying "how did you not read the subtitles" and proceed not to read the description 😭

Amos

Chani killing Paul LMAO, y’all are underestimate his ability to see the future he says “Chani will come around I’ve seen it” so she eventually comes back to him

chae_minnie

literally in the caption: "until today when I got my hands on the subs while editing"

These Plums

That hoodie Lupa got is sick

ComfyAsh

Yes, so in the reaction they had no subtitles. They got the subtitles today for the upload WE got

Hanno

Chill on them, they didn't have subtitles

Ashe

you stupid bitch

Paul Reyes

Hans Zimmer cooked with the score on this movie. He better win an Oscar.

These Plums

*Pushes up glasses* The Mandela Effect of Dune fans saying "As it is written!" instead of what is actually said.

Mario Huizar

Roshi you need to stop listening to Sheera and Lupa lmao. They were straight lying and you were right lol. You should’ve rewinded to listen that Jessica was the Barons daughter and when he killed the Baron he said “grandfather” and they both told you he said “hello father” lmaooo.

Sasha

Im so ready love this movie

Julian Rother

I'm not sure he will. After Lion King his second Oscar was only Dune Part one. On the other hand Ludwig Görranson won his second Oscar very quickly, but tbf Oppenheimer sounds completely different than Black Panther...

These Plums

I want to say something to clear up what 40% (seems like more) of social media is misunderstanding. Paul and his Mother may be the protagonist, but they ARE NOT the good guys. Frank Herbert wrote DUNE MESSIAH because of this misunderstanding. If you're curious and a self-possessed person then I urge you to read DUNE and DUNE MESSIAH (read the rest of the books if you get hooked). Cheers!

Julian Rother

I guess Arrakis is the only planet where guns would make sense. I think guns are more like an relic in that time and probably not in mass production anymore.

Anthony Lazarin

thank you guys so much for the early release. today was my day off and had a blunt and a beer ready

Hanno

Paul's aura was off the charts after he took the Water of Life

Otulp

bro the amount of Ls from sheera and lupa lol.

Otulp

W take. I love sheera and lupa but they be off it sometimes lol

Matthew Barrett

Dont even worry bout it bruh, some of the commenters here were the children that were left behind

Sylisen E.

I can't get over how similar Paul Atreides and Eren Yeager are The fact that they both choose the most tragic path knowing the futur to protect their own is insane

HuntressZoldyck

Damn, you people don’t read😭. They’ve already clarified the confusion about the Baron being Paul’s father , they didn’t have any subtitles . They literally corrected themselves at the end too

Sylisen E.

yeah in the book, the holy war is litteraly called the Jihad

Jada Merritt

One of my favorite things about this movie is how much it elevates the first Dune film! They complement each other so perfectly. Super happy y’all got to watch this, thanks for the early drop!

Dark Shogun

He didn't call the Baron father, he called him Grandfather before stabbing him in the neck. Also yall keep saying Chani is going to stab Paul because he saw it in a vision. You forget that not every vision Paul had before drinking the Water of Life came true. Remember, he saw Jamis as his mentor and yet he ended up killing him. Paul sees all possible futures at once. Now that he drunk the juice he has control and can see his way to the desired path. I think the writer/director said he's going to work on something else and take a break from Dune or it's going to drive him crazy. He's definitely going to continue the series, without question. It's too popular and has done too well in the box office to stop now.

ChickensAreRacist

Why even say that? Why try spoiling some key elements?

Amateur10

Mongolian throat singers can do that crazy voice stuff Lupa, so it's not necessarily a didgeridoo that's making the sound but it also could be, its a cool sound either way lol

Nikabee

It's so funny that we never see how they manage to get multiple people onto and off of those sandworms. I can only imagine them all struggling to get on like Paul did XD

Ryan Ryan

Yeah idk people always want to stupidly show off that they know stuff he better delete his stupid comment

Donovan Fant

It not really a spoiler Paul and his family are the bad guys the first movie show you why

John Cedar
>>135321481

People should be allowed to naturally discover and interpret the story and themes of the art they're interacting with. This is like walking up to someone looking at a Monet or Van Gogh painting and giving them an unprompted history lesson and explaining the artist's whole identity before someone has even had a chance to view a second painting and decide for themselves. You are priming someone to have the experience that you want them to, and not the experience they will naturally have. And in my opinion, talking about characters in terms of good guys vs bad guys in this world is a mistake, and doing so will make the message seem very one-note, which I think is a disservice to what Frank tried to do with the series. But I won't get into more until we have Dune Messaiah adapted to film and can discuss it then. Going into the history about Frank's intent and future books that the new film fans haven't read yet is also a disservice because you are not allowing them to come to these conclusions on their own and reconcile how they feel about Paul independently when they read the sequel or see the 3rd movie.

Kars

45:32 how it feels to chew 5 gum

Hey Hey Me

2:18:50 The same fear when you see a bunch of kirovs heading to your base.

Nate

If u wanna know the worms get tired quickly and they eventually slow down to a crawl and then stop, they then slide off the sides, never the tail. Also when they remove the hooks the worms try to submerge immediately, so you can wait til the last second and dive off

Sumflo

General RAAM is crazy

zentian00

you guys should watch the fallout show it's pretty good

Delinda Arts

JUST now going to sleep after watching for the first time then finishing the reaction lol. Thank you guys for this!! Such an amazing film/ story!

hokeypokey

To be fair if there was anything for them to mishear they misheard one of the biggest plot points in the movie xD

Patrone07

It's clear yal never seen dune before glad you guys liked it

Akila Yaw

YEEEEAAAAAHHHH? you guys didn’t watch in theaters lollll they really do love USSSS

Akila Yaw

Loll exactly 😂, going wild

Co

Missed, "Lead them to paradise" because Lupa couldn't stop interrupting. Poor Roshi who actually took the movie seriously. Sigh...

FreshxEli Tv

Damn I gotta make food for this reaction

y0ungship

In islam the mahdi and the messiah are two different persons. Jesus is the messiah in islam, and the mahdi which means the guided one, will be of the descendants of the prophet Muhammad.

JayTheEnlightened

Lol anyways, love yall reactions. Always puts a smile on my face

Paulothy

They didn't watch with subtitles, they were added in for the video

Ian Hover

While yall watching this i really want you to see the parallels to attack on titan. Eren and Paul are one and the same which is why it’s so tragic at the end. We watched him start the rumbling and even tho we should be on his side it’s filled with this sense of dread

Nujabes2000

Dune 1&2 and hopefully 3 would be what is to modern sci-fi cinema is as to what LOTR trilogy is to modern fantasy cinema, Considering if they manage to pull off Dune 3 without decreasing its quality from the previous 2.

Sauceless

They did it’s on the channel

Patrone07

I'm talking about the original Dune they cut something's out also one of my favorite scenes hopefully they might add it in part 3 since they change some stuff and added some stuff all in all a good movie that's close to the source material

Akila Yaw

Lolll watching this with subs while they didn’t was so frustrating lolll He said :“hello grandfather” They said “ he said hello father” GAHHHH!

Dry Lyo

Good movie but they did Chani dirty in this movie. Made her a total bitch.

A1 Zae

I love y’all so much

FreshxEli Tv

I think Paul is like the false avatar , by him instantly just taken the the emperors daughter definitely indicates kid time , the lady mention the emperors daughter having to answer her calling now with a kid so I think Paul off spring will be the true heir /savior because of the bloodline mix that’s 3 superior blood lines for 1 child I could be wrong but with this information Paul isn’t the chosen one it seems he is simply so powerful that they think he is the messiah but I think they are wrong to an extent he is literally “showing them the way” until the real messiah spawns but it’s insane how powerful the real messiah actually will be

Akila Yaw

Uhh, Dont they know who Florence Pugh is, they watched midsummer

Kryptik _

Paul is literally Eren Jaeger

Erica Collins

They most likely do. She was in Hawkeye too. Just because they don't call it out doesn't mean they don't know

mondawmin mall

ROSHI has really been blessed, he get to work with my girl and my best friend almost every day. My inner child is happy right now cause that is the dream

kingBD

Read the caption of the video lmao

IronMatrixs

If yall get a chance, I think the movie is still in theatres. I'd recommend just rewatching in IMAX. A lot of the effects were on a whole different level.

Jimmy

LOL, The Baron was his Grandfather. And he said hello grandfather not Father. The water of life gives him power over the spice, which is the power over time and space but that's it. It didn't turn him into the Baron's Son.

Alorian

Typing this midwatch so if you guys already figured this out im sorry lol, but just for clarity the baron is Pauls grandfather. His mom is the daughter of the Harkonnens. Dont do Leto dirty like that lul.

kingBD

read the caption of the vid, they watched it without subs

mondawmin mall

Some younger brothers are just stronger. My younger brother when he was 16 never did weight training in his life. He walked up to a 455 lb and squatted it three times then put it back like it was nothing and walked away

A

Lupa is right about the instrument. I highly recommend checkout Hans Zimmer's videos detailing how he made the main theme. A few of the instruments were custom built

bleach

Since Dune inspired Star Wars it could be that Paul becomes a tyrant and his kid and Chani take him out like Anakin and Luke

Karabo

The first movie was so good it got me to read the first book , next thing I knew I was 7 books deep. The story gets WEIRD but still really good. Honestly I need Denis to make movie 3, 4 and 5. 5 Will be a cinematic achievement, if he can make that a movie then he will be a filmmaking God

BlueMop91

this the type of movie u see in theaters. AMAZING ON BIG SCREEN!!!

JavonR92

He just said Grandfather, not hello Grandfather

kingBD

Lmao what movie were u watching? She just wanted to save her people from going down a dark path. In the books i heard he role is very minimal so i like this version

Lucius Reinhard

The harkonnen probably wouldn’t be losing so much if they didn’t keep killing everyone for making 1 mistake, treat your men like they’re disposable and all you get is disposable men working for you in the end lol

Mario Huizar

Didn’t even say hello, just grandfather lol

Tancho24

sorry man I don't understand this movie at all. didn't get into the first one yet finished with u guys. This one imma stop in halfway. i almost slept XD. but I appreciate Sherra and lupa trying to make small jokes and Roshi being super focused

Jigga Man

And they both agreed with it each other without skipping a beat 😭 now I'm wondering how many more times they've gaslit our boy

Eli Beli

"and the emperor said 'We need more cowbell" Took me the fuck out

Jigga Man

The way both Lupa and Sheera agreed on the "Hello Father" line 😭 ourboyroshi just had to hold it in until the end

These Plums

Nothing I said is a spoiler. Did y'all even read what I wrote? How is discussing a main theme of the story a spoiler for people who just watched it. Unless you're referring to those who are watching it for the first time here. Then why are they in the comments before finishing it?

Skebaba

Nice subs bozo, covering up all the translation of planetary languages. I wonder what trash site the subs were picked from, cuz when I went to the seas, it had legit subs not this BS deaf person shit where it has a ton of shit in non-dialogue parts covering shit (such as the aforementioned planetary language translations)

These Plums

@John Cedar Regarding your second paragraph, if that's what you think then I believe you missed the point of Frank's books. His books were a warning on charismatic leaders. Warning, meaning there are clearly good and bad sides. If I say any more then it will breach spoiler territory so I digress.

Alejandro Pupo

The confusion from not being able to hear what they're clearly saying is hilarious LMFAOOO

Copernic

7? You read Brian Herbert's books too?

Fizzy 🐉

They literally said they are gonna watch it lol

Fizzy 🐉

Easily one of the best movies this year Paul speech was hands down my favourite scene

Meggie

another super interesting call back to the first movie was when paul and chani are sitting together and chani says "arrakis is beautiful when the sun is low" which is a direct quote from the first seconds of dune 1. basically letting us know that EVERYTHING we saw up until that point was flashback and that now the story is catching up to the present.

Kingwukong72

Are you guys gonna react to Godzilla xKong new empire?

Paul Reyes

Compared to how the Atreides treated their people, and that’s why they were hella loyal.

Mubarez Ahmad

A Godzilla Minus One reaction would go hard

Paul Reyes

That’s how you know people didn’t finish watching the video and treated this comment section like a damn Twitch chat lol

Pxssive

cry louder lil nigga

Sekraan

It's basically one big movie split into two, so yeah, if you didn't follow the first one this is gonna be rough going.

Sekraan

The audio effects alone were worth it in IMAX. The voice hits different

Mohd

That wasn’t my point, fuck paul lmao i was talking about casually making fun of the al mahdi as a name, i know they’re uneducated on that though which is why i commented a diff comment explaining it👍🏼

Mohd

That wasn’t my point, fuck paul lmao i was talking about casually making fun of the al mahdi as a name, i know they’re uneducated on that though which is why i commented a diff comment explaining it👍🏼

Mohd

Casual islamophobia, cool my dude

Ashe

They already did that...

Lucius Reinhard

Ya, the Atreides are still kinda scary on their own in the book but I'd rather serve Duncan and Gurney than any of the dumbass Harkonnens lol

Jeremy Palencia

Peak!! Happy to experience this masterpiece

Amos

books!!!!

Candy

Hello grandfather

Alex

grandfather lol

jmn

Lupa be silent for a minute challenge

jordansamuel

Man your dune reaction is one of my favorites. And your reaction to part 2 is no different. Movie is some fucking heat!

Elijah

Spider-Man in another universe punching the air right now

Dana Sow

subscribed just to see yall's reaction to this.

The Endless

What kind of logic of Thursday schedule is that lol. Love yall but just be straight w/ us 100%z

Jtrggrhappy

“Worm bus” fucking took me out 😭😭😭😂😂😂😂😭😭

AB

Be quiet and count your blessings.

The Endless

I won’t sheep. You can be happy with whatever slop life throws at you bc you don’t believe you deserve better.

AB

You should practice that now.

AB

Nice rant to strangers bozo

AB

In their defense, she was wearing progressively more intricate and armored headware.

AB

Are you aware that this is a REACTION channel?

AB

We all must take Ls to learn and grow.

We don’t know yet how Dennis will handle the third movie so any option is viable

Saphthings

The subtitles are so distracting, wish we got it without subtitles.... .... I'm jk xD Just giving you a hard time Roshi hahaha

AB

Apologize for your illiteracy

Coco

Jesus you people are dramatic in these comments sometimes

AB

And you must have lost your ability to read since you didn’t read the caption.

SageTheChosen

I love how Roshi says shut up, "hang on" lmao

Helpy

Is it really that serious?

The Endless

Nah and I didn’t cuss, disrespect or call them out of their name. Just that they be honest with us…? A perfectly reasonable and normal request. tone really gets lost in text on the internet

The Endless

lol but he gets to tell me to be quiet nah. Dont respond to folks any type of way if you don’t want “dramaticism”. Now you’ve interjected yourself into the drama for what? To have some kind highground? To look down on me for my response? Y’all are genuinely confusing with these thought processes

LUPASAN

This is a reaction channel. Unless yall want to just watch me watch in silence. Let me know, im open to suggestions

Ghost

I can’t believe they “messed up” i guess in not hearing correctly when they speaking low asf, corrected themselves literally at the end of the movie and y’all still annoying. Higher being needa handle u niggas

JohnnySmoke

You know they only rushed it to give it to us because people literally would not shut up about it. Literally giving people what they ask for and mfs still find a way to complain

Oliver

I love Lupa's input. Sometimes it comes at a bad time, but so what? still love it!

Denn B

Finish the video😷

Co

Balance, timing and flexibility - with these, you can greatly reduce talking over important points while still reacting. If you don't believe it, just look at Roshi for proof.

jmn

Thanks for the cool reply. This is especially for when you watch without subs, talking over the dialog takes away from the reaction

Oliver

We basically end this movie with i am EREN YEAGER and i choose violence

Mikaylin

Thank you guys for reacting if you guys decide to watch it in theaters for pt 3 I would understand😭the cinematography is just breathe taking

Co

Thanks for replying, Lupa! I believe I speak for many people when I say, your reactions are amazing. The issue oftentimes is the timing. When there is talking over dialogue, it takes away from everyone's experience, especially when it's critical info the viewers should know. I recommend talking in between the dialogue. What also helps is keeping your eyes on the screen, even when talking/reacting. That way, if you do accidentally talk over the dialogue, at least there's a chance you caught what happened. We don't expect you to be perfect at this, but it would mean a lot if you could simply try to be more aware. Roshi has these techniques pretty much locked down. He usually doesn't talk over dialogue and his eyes are always locked in on the screen. Lastly, please take these comments only for what they are - respectful feedback. I appreciate you man and I wouldn't be paying you monthly if I didn't enjoy all of you on that couch. You making an active choice to listen and act on feedback would mean the world.

JDGreen

So did he kiss Batista like that too😐

Ian Hover

Btw there’s isn’t much context to this but in the dune world they banned all technology and ai. There was a rebellion against it. Think matrix. But they also banned nuclear weapons so when Paul dropped them it was technically a war crime😂

RealPersonMan

In the books its like. Hey, ive seen us be togehter in a vision. Yeah, me too. And then they are together. And thats it

ChickensAreRacist

How did you discussing a theme a spoiler? Cuz you were referencing what will be part 3.

JJ

Zendaya cannot fucking act she was extremely insignificant to the story.

JJ
>>135342557

She didn’t actually do anything but pout and roll her eyes and storm off the whole movie. If she would’ve actually been doing something, I would’ve been fine but all she had was a shitty attitude the whole movie

JJ

ignore these clowns in the comment section. they trippin

Saphthings

Roshi like, "I think we should rewing and watch that again... we about to get clapped..." and Lupa/Sheera, "Nah we got it, his dad wasn't his dad, trust us!" The youtube edit better put clown noses on them at that moment or something lol

Gabriel Sanchez

i understand needing subs lmao but like how low is the volume for you guys LMAOOO

Alex

Ok I did. I had to leave right after

TheInfiniteMan

Not sure if it was said but he said no shields because the weapons they use when colliding with shields cause nuclear explosions

Antuan
>>135406532

You must’ve missed the relevance of having a nonbeliever in a sea of people blindly shouting Paul’s praises. Both of your takes are sooo off

JJ
>>135406532

No, I read the books and I know exactly how it’s supposed go and it was trash how they handled her character. They changed how she was just for it to not impact the story in any way, I’m entitled to my opinion you twink .

Drake Rage

2:07:20 Dang, the actor did a really good job, stellar acting. He was more like Armin so far, but then he transformed into Eren Jaeger right there, lmao. Damn, the one negative thing is that we might be able to predict how this ends: (Based on Paul's visions of the future) It does seem like Paul's story will end up like Eren/Lelouch. Hopefully not though, but it does seem like Paul will intentionally make himself look like a Villain, to make Zendaya (and/or his sister) kill him in the end ~and bring peace to the universe~

Darren Banks
>>135406532

it actually wasn't... if the point of the books is to caution blindly following messiahs and leaders... then SOMEONE would need to be a contrarian... Chani's written character just agrees to anything Paul says, which made her rather unbelievable and flat through out the story. Adding more depth to her character serves a much needed side plot...

mansbestanky

that aint an airstrike thats a wormstrike

Senjioh

I wonder if part 3 will take 3 years like part 2 did.

Mo3

Yeaa idc that you said it already😂You guys are VERY slow for misreading the part about their bloodline and being harrkonen. Sometimes yall gotta just…just….(sigh) nvm

Mo3

They’re…collectivelyyyyy not even trying to pay attention 😂

J C

Its been awhile since I've seen a bad take this good lol had the second chance to recognize when Paul said "Grandfather". WHOOSH.

Psychopomp

Damn they all three got clapped with the whole, who's the Baron's kid. lol

Champion Bescos

Paul Atreides 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼 Eren Yëagar Both brown haired, angry/passionate young men hellbent on seeing justice for their slaughtered family and people. Both burdened with the eventual power of foresight and the knowledge of their lineage. Both leading to genocide, despite having the best of intentions initially.

Champion Bescos

The trio’s reaction to DUNE Part One is one of my favorite reactions of all time, period. And this reaction to DUNE Part Two is no different. Amazing jokes, theories, and quality discussions throughout. Glad yall really enjoyed it, too. Also, is it me, or does Roshi in particular fucks with the burdened-hero/antihero stories? I do, too. Between this and Attack on Titan, I’m wondering if he’s seen Code Geass and if he liked Lelouch as well.

Saynt Michael

Roshi went way too deep with that "I recognize your footsteps" line lol

Drake Rage

They do have reactions up for Code Geass. Lelouch is an iconic MC alongside Eren, for sure.

Tolu.BKR

the subtitles are edited after they react by the editor, they aren't on while they watch.

Jarron Taylor

When Paul stood up and turned around after drinking the "water of life" that Nigga had aura fr😂😭

Karabo

Mr Robot would be so fire on this channel. It's in my top 3 of all time

Karabo

Nope, I ended basically where Frank's end, was it Chapterhouse the last Frank one?

LUPASAN

Probably the most respectful answer I’ve gotten in years. Because mostly I see people just telling me to shut up. It’s cool though, when I eventually disappear I hope my detractors are satisfied. I appreciate your response.

Hadrian

I like that he made the emperor kiss his dad’s ring willingly. He could have just spoke and made him do it

T2M

Man I really do believe the dune movies already are masterpieces like I literally believe this is another LOTR like actually a modern LOTR (just movie wise i know the books are old af) and I am glad I was able to watch it in the theatres like the whole world of dune the story of paul atreidis is so GRAND and idk it feels mystical and denis villineuve really cooked I dont think it would be as amazing without this visual representation he has given us and I think after watching dune 3 - which hopefully doesnt fall off - I might even pick up the books (I do not read any books at all but man this is fucking awesome I want to experience it all)

Tokyo GxS

Amazing beautiful show, so glad I was able to watch it with yall. Definitely one of my favorite reactions of all time, I was enjoying the movie but also laughing with yall especially Lupa's Joke when he said "send missles of their home" that shit had me dead

Justin Hutchinson

lol yalls hearing is as bad as mine, need subs for movies even in english

Yamahai

The Grandma’s the baby

kingBD

🤣 i can only imagine u wanted her following paul like a puppy and doing anything to make him happy instead of having a brain of her own?

f4jd

He did but what he said still made sense

The Endless

Lupa: “We don’t trust machines so we trains humans to become machines” EXACTLY my man. How you know about that?🤨 You been reading the books G?😂😂 If they ever do get to the Children of Dune I would love to see at least a flashback scene of the Butlerian Jihad.

f4jd

It seems like that's exactly what he's doing that or like be a martyr either way he can see the future clearly now so he can pick and choose the way he wants it to end up

f4jd

They can both see the future too lol

Red Death

All these Eren Jaeger comparisons 🤮. Paul's nothing like that fraud

ChickensAreRacist

How so? I mean, it was clearly an intended callback and it worked well. I assumed his response was the normal one. I’m not trying to be contentious with you, just sayin.

The Endless

He’s exactly like him in the aspect of abilities and overall character/outcome tbh. No spoilers but Emperor Paul from the books is a fucking menace.

The Endless

Also fun fact abt Sandworm riding for any confusion. The Worm’s skin is just really thick hardened flesh-like scales that can be peeled and taken off. Sand entering in through the opening irritates the hell outta them so they are forced to above surface and can only travel on a certain side as to not let more sand in. Whether the Fremen discovered this from study and cohabitation with the beasts or created this method is unknown but you gotta admit it’s hella effective.

The Endless

Im convinced the current generation of Harkonens have been so genetically modified that all they have left is their battle prowess. Not an ounce of wit or strategic thinking from ANY of them niggas bro😭 like you think it’s a coincidence that after you wiped out the “entire” Atriedes family (2 of which you have ZERO confirmation of death btw) the Fremen start getting 10x as effective and there’s a sudden Hero with a specific name that’s risen among them🤨😭😭 cmon now it’s a little obvious. even with the first desert Sand harvest takedown scene, you’re gonna go after the UNARMED target rather than focus on the mf that tried to shoot you down not FIVE seconds ago. You cant be serious. Fayde had a little sense but that nigga was just too horny fa me😭😭😭

Oliver

Exactly

J-or-Dan

the specific name reported back to the harkonens isn't Atriedes is a fremen name and the only people to make it out went into hiding. And you aren't just going to assume the heir apparent to House Atriedes is suddenly in charge of the fremen because the harkonens interactions with the fremen was very antagonistic they assume someone is helping them now but can't confirm who it is. And during the sand harvester takedown because the legs move one at a time you don't know what the target sprinting for the next leg is doing before they do something else to surprise you since the other person you know can't penetrate your shield the only reason it worked is because paul knew firing the gun lowers the shield and the harkonens needed to stop them from destroying the crawler

Alexander S

Pretty sure you guys misunderstood the Harkonnen child thing. The baron is the father of Jessica(Paul's mother), not the father of Paul himself. But I believe you figured it out afterwards?

Alexander S

I need me a hype man like Stilgar fr fr

ChickensAreRacist

Two things: that line ‘don’t wanna waste any moisture’ should’ve gotten lols. Also, interesting how the last fight between Paul and Feyd, when Paul got stabbed on his left side but survived, he learned that with his prescience in part one seeing Duncan Idaho get stabbed the same way by the Sardaukar. And that’s when Duncan stood back up, sliced up some more, and THEN took a killing blow. I like how Paul learned that there.

Yall Might

They’re literally both innocent dark haired twinks that see the future and then immediately go on a rampage across their verse wym. Theyre both just Macbeth anyways.

Darian

There are obvious similarities but c'mon, exactly alike? It's a disservice to both characters to boil them down to being the exact same.

lackingnames

Brother you really trying to say that the guy needed magical future sight to learn that a shoulder wound isn't deadly LOL

DsWorldd •

“Mom, you are the daughter of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen” Them :That’s Paul’s real father omg! how all tree of yall get clapped simultaneously?😂💀 Vladimir would be Jessica’s father, Paul’s grandfather and Leto’s father in Law. It’s just a fked up reveal cuz it’s messy lol.

ChickensAreRacist

What I’m not trying to say, but literally saying, is that the sacrifice of that specific wound was foreseen and then exploited.

DsWorldd •

They just be on the couch doing gaslight olympics sometimes. Blind leading the blind type shit😭😭

Douglas Kelley

Your first mistake was watching the movie for the first time through their reaction…

Douglas Kelley

Something a person who watches too much anime would say

Dry Lyo

You should legit watch other movies from Dennis Villeneuve, he's an amazing director.

ChickensAreRacist

Incendies. If ya don’t mind subtitles, this movie will shake you.

Friendly Elites

Stilgar's fall from Paul's surrogate father stand-in to the deranged fanatic follower is the greatest tragedy in this movie. You can't help but laugh with him earlier in the movie but when Paul rides that worm you can see the change in Stilgar's eyes and he never goes back to who he was before

Maxis Holst

the harkanons remind me of locusts from gears lol

AresReborn

So I don’t think he’s gonna be off guard with chani I think he literally will let her kill him because he knows how horrible he will be in the future but he also knows war is inevitable if he wants to free dune from the empires grasp and he also doesn’t want the war to come to a conclusion because if it does and she kills him after there would be a power vacuum and some random guy would become emperor and target dune again for the spice but if he dies mid war then everyone would be mid confusion and they wouldn’t want to mess with a people that literally just killed the strongest candidate emperor of the their empire.

Antuan
>>135406532

First, if you’re gonna insult please do a better job out at least make it pertain to the convo twink was so random it felt like you were sharing insecurities. Second, there are multiple parts of the movie where zendaya shines as an actress. Her last line in the movie is “it’s not over yet” but from that point on she’s one of the main focuses of the end of the movie and we are able to clearly see everything going through her mind without her having to say one word and it is impressive. It’s ok if it wasn’t what you wanted, but don’t lie about the quality of work

anthony williams

lol instantly know what part yall misunderstood when i got to it lmao

Bonga Mkosi

You guys were so right about the subtitles ...

Sylisen E.

End i'll add that the third movie will go in that sense even more

William Tippen

That is crazy the audio was crystal clear and they still somehow got that the baron is his father 😂😂😂

Saynt Michael

Because they misremembered and thought it was a line to an unrevealed person in a vision. Paul only ever said that to the same guy, he said it at the beginning of the first movie when he came in to train him. “Don’t stand with your back to the open” - “I recognize your footsteps.” Then when he had the vision at the spice field he said he recognized him again even though he was out of it. The line was just to let the guy know it was Paul, it wasn’t a reveal lol

maui

I started reading the books, Im about to finish the first one and bought the second one. IM debating whether I should read the second one or if I should wait and watch part 3 with fresh eyes.

Divinerights

In the first film the reverend mother says that she does the test because Paul is Jessica’s son, not just his dad’s. Did she really mean because he’s son of a bene gesserit and all that entails, or because she’s harkonnen? And he has two great houses, rivals, in his bloodline?

aesopf

Broo, y'all deserved to get absolutely clapped in the comments for this one. Good thing y'all went back like Roshi suggested and saved your cheeks for another day smh.

Bria A.

From what I gather, the Water of Life isn’t necessarily a possession, it’s gaining the collective knowledge of all of the Reverend Mothers before. Now imagine all of that knowledge…also given to an unborn baby. 😭 A baby doesn’t even have an identity yet. That’s the problem with Jessica being pregnant.

briana

Not me just now realizing there's another tier lmaoooo. I was like "where is it?" Since the movies are a bit different from the books I think Chani is already pregnant at the end of this. Dune Messiah is so messy but I love it.

Barry

Its the Harkonnen bloodline, the Great Houses are just breeding stock for the Bene Gesserit. They wanted Jessica to have a girl who would then probably have been married to Feyd Rautha. Jessica disobeyed them out of love for her husband and Paul is the result.

Dylan Taylor

I literally upgraded my tier to see this reaction!!! This movie was phenomenal. I bought the books right after and Denis V. fucking cooooked

VibezWorldwide

Pretty sure it’s because he has two bloodlines and Jessica was supposed to gave Duke Leto a girl and not a son. Then there’s the prophecy Paul’s tied to

Jim Watkins

i actually was shocked by how intuitively they understood what was going on in this story... even in the first movie they got a sense of what herbert was trying to say with paul's story, something most people don't get until messiah... i think it shows denis did a great job changing the story just enough to clarify things

Jim Watkins
>>135406532

hard disagree, i felt her acting is exactly what tells this story so well... the depth of her feelings of betrayal that she shows without saying a single word is the betrayal the audience is supposed to feel at the choice paul makes... that he betrayed no only chani, but he also betrayed the fremen and betrayed himself as well

Jim Watkins
>>135406532

you're wrong, frank herbert was disappointed that most people misunderstood the story, it's why he wrote dune messiah to show that paul is actually a villain here... denis made a change to chani's character that actually fixes the original story by 1) clarifying the betrayal of paul, and 2) showing how the fremen are an egalitarian culture.... frank would have loved these changes

Jim Watkins

yo i actually cannot believe bro made a cowbell reference with christopher walken lmaooooo that is such a deep cut

Jim Watkins

they don't wear shields in the desert because it attracts worms and drives them into a killing frenzy

MK

yea with u on this Mr robot would be FIRE on the channel 10/10 series

Jmooth Sazz

the baron is pauls grandfather not his father btw

HIM

Yo, watching this for the 3rd time (first time all in one go. Long ass mf movie lol.), I'm catching the irony of Paul denying to be the "Mahdi", then later asking for and claiming the title of "Mua'di". Also, interesting to note that they are speaking straight up Arabic (for the most part). Just stuff I find cool and interesting. At 1:52:30, was that Chani's friend that was talking shit the whole movie? Lol noticing new things Edit: Thank you, Sheera! I didn't really get the ending to the final fight, but your callback really helped me see what they were going for. Lots of that in this movie, and it's dope! (Aight, happy 4/20 😊)

Fini Reus

Ngl it's the actor, she does not have a great acting range at all. She was mostly chosen for appearances. She can't cry, show emotion-invoking sorrow, and most of the movie she just looks pouty or indifferent. Her character got hoed in the books from what it sounds like, but either way the movie is just insanely good cinematography and a fantastic plot.

felixjeager

sorry buddy but john cedar's right. you should think about what he said

Tom

No shields: 1. Shields drive worms into a frenzy, 2. A shield shot by a lasgun causes a nuclear explosion, so it's not actually protecting you, it's turning you into a nuke.

Tom

The Voice is tailored to an individual's subconscious by the user intimately evaluating every tiny little detail about that person's culture, personality, upbringing, history, etc etc. so you can't use it on a crowd because everyone in that crowd would require shaping "the Voice" a different way. To take it to an extremely simplistic example, if you noticed that someone was a bit of a mommy's boy, and could figure out where their mother was from, by simply observing them, you would tell them to do something in a motherly voice, with the accent of someone from there. Now add a hundred more complicated details that you notice and include into the way you speak when giving them an order, and you have the Voice. The movie has to portray it as a strange, magical shout to convey the effect it has, but in reality you wouldn't be able to notice it happening to someone else.

Matthew Barrett

Karen's Krusade against Khatter I don't know whats more pathetic, whinging about spending $10 or writing a disseration on REACTION content lmaoooo

Offw0rlder

They really be spending 10 bucks just to come in here and complain bout that 10 bucks...

briana

I feel like they did fine. The purpose of a reaction is to theorize and share that with people watching the reaction. I read the first three Dune books so I had an idea of how to piece things together. When I first watched this in theaters I didn’t even pay attention to the reveal because I knew about it already. Lots of people think it was subtle/not that important anyway. Besides that, I don’t think they missed much… they just made theories which again, most people do and it’s not an issue. We have at least one more movie left from Denis Villeneuve and Timothée Chalamet as Paul so their questions will be answered later.

briana

I love how weird the books are. That cocaine was HITTING. I also liked the Children of Dune miniseries with James McAvoy

Arc

Grandfather* Baron Vladimir Harkonenn is Jessica's father not Paul's. Paul is both an Atredes and a Harkonnen

Akila Yaw

Poor Roshi getting roped into clap land loll

Akila Yaw

Usul says “Hello Grandfather” Sheera and Lula heard “ hello father” Leaving Roshi to agree….,Poor Roshi getting roped into clap land loll

Editz XT

grandfather not father

Akila Yaw

GAHHH LOLL THEY SAID “ That’s chani, No it’s his sister..” guys loll she even turned her face slightly…..that’s the clearest Rebecca furg side view ever loll as soon as I saw the back of her hair in theaters I knew who it was…. But I get it loll I’m just shocked they didn’t notice.

Aiscrim

The know that already, but Paul said ''Grandfather'' not ''Hello father'',

Adrian Locke

This nigga Paul is literally year 10,000 Eren Jaeger lmaoooo

Travis James

GRANDFATHER. Roshi had doubts from the start lol. He even wanted to replay the scene but they convinced him otherwise. Roshi follow your gut next time

C. Fushiguro

So I watched other reactors that watched with subtitles and it’s fine. But these subtitles have got to be the worst I’ve ever seen. Literally covering up lines of dialogue in fremen or harkonnen with some shit like, “[Birds chirping]” or “[Dramatic music]” 😂 😂 RTTV has some lit ones. Idk how they do that shit with the font but you should get those. You got the ones for people who are literally DEAF and need all the sounds cues subtitled too. 😂

Delane Gill

I know you mentioned it in the description but the part where you guys think that the baron is Paul’s dad rather than granddad is so hard to watch lmao. Especially just after when roshi wanted to go back to check and the other two just gaslit him into thinking otherwise 😭

Travis James

I know right. Roshi always follow your gut please.

Alex Omega

DAMN People are STILL typing comments about the Father/Grandfather mistake they made even though they figured it out AT THE END OF THEIR REACTION. This is why they upload videos with subtitles on it.

destiny

I'm so glad yall reacted to this masterpiece of a movie! I saw others reactions to it but I was waiting for yall! Great reaction per usual! Also, it's bad that jessica drank the water of life while pregnant because now her daughter is basically a reverend mother before birth, she won't know how to control these powers or deal with them.

destiny

Also, in the fremen culture they believe that the water belongs to the tribe. They left it out but in the books, they offered Paul to take some of the water because he killed him if im remembering correctly. Paul also had looked after Jamis's wife and kids but the wife was his servant

Anthony Mendoza

Going to watch this on my lunch ch break lol

Alexia

You guys should watch Monkey Man next !!!

Dima

the cinematography in this movie is epic

John Cedar
>>135567882

The scene between Lady Fenring and Feyd Rautha is not in the books, there is no mention of her ever using the Gom Jabber test on him. To be honest, it makes little sense to me as to why Feyd needed to be tested in this way. Compared to Paul, he's harmless. Also, the test is meant to see if a human will ignore an unpleasant feeling and control their urges in order for a greater goal. Feyd loves pain, so the test wasn't even a test for him. He enjoyed it. This test is given to Paul in the books because he is a male with Bene Gesserit training, and that is highly unusual. In the past, whenever males had this power, they would use it for destruction and domination. It's not because he is Bene Gesserit breeding stock but because he was an unplanned male that was trained in The Way by his mother, which scares the fuck out of them.

Divinerights

Think you replied to the wrong comment :)

John Cedar
>>135567882

Sorry, I sort of combined my thoughts on Feyd taking the test in here, but the answer is basically the same. They are given the test because they are Bene Gesserit, not because they are Harkonnen or royalty. Paul's mother also goes through the Gom Jabbar test, as does every Bene Gesserit. The point of the test is to make sure they can trust you with the immense power and long reaching plans of their order. Everyone that is trained in The Way is supposed to receive the test, I'm not sure if it happens on Arrakis though. Paul is an extra important case to them because he is a male, and that is restated many times in the book. He makes everyone in the Bene Gesserit, including his mother, feel incredibly uneasy.

Divinerights

That’s fair, but I was asking if essentially the interesting thing about Jessica is that she’s a Bene Gesserit and can produce the messiah, or if that it’s because she’s Harkonnen, which we the audience didn’t know in the first film?

John Cedar
>>135567882

You'd have to read the books to get the full answer, but the "messaiah" is really just a genetically manipulated person and they were likely crossed with Harkonnens before many times. The Bene Gesserit plan has been going on for such a long time, and they don't reveal parentage, they marry cousins sometimes without telling them. The whole genetic tree of the Kwizatz Haderach is only known to reverend mothers and himself. The whole thing about Paul being "able" to become the Messaiah has as much to do with the planning of the Bene Gesserit over the years to literally create the religion for people to expect him as it does with his actual powers. They made a void and then provided the solution to fill it. So the answer is no, the Baron being his grandfather was not some kind of missing link to finally make Paul a real Messaiah, it's more like all these steps culminated in him fufilling his destiny, because SOMEONE was planned to do this someday. Jessica raised him to do so because she thought he could. It is supposed to be a reveal to show just how deep and insidious the plans of the Bene Gesserit are. Jessica managed to do this because she was the first one who succeeded. We don't hear the story about all the people who failed. It's a bit of confirmation bias, like if Oppenheimer thought he was "destined" to make the atom bomb. In reality, he just got there first.

Azizullah Rehimi

He said “GrandFather” Not “Hello Father”.

Krype

i liked the movie but I didn't really feel any stakes. The whole thing went the way paul wanted nothing really went wrong the only obstacle was the guy he fought but he got clapped

Ledish

The stakes are not about his fighting with the Baron or the Emperor, but the internal conflict of Paul and the struggle between his visions, his desire for revenge, and his connections to others. Paul starts out with the intention of using the Fremen to seek revenge for his father's murder, but quickly falls in love with not just Chani, but the culture and the people. This is contrasted by Jessica drinking the Water of Life and going from "your father didn't believe in revenge" to actively seeking to implement the prophecy. The conflict then becomes about if he's able to resist the visions and resist taking up the mantle of prophecy, even as all the forces in the universe (except Chani) are pushing against him and forcing him towards that path. When Sietch Tabr is destroyed, he finally feels forced to take the Water of Life, which causes a great shift in him. He once again seeks revenge for his father, along with the means to protect the people he loves, and subsumes the Fremen culture and religion to do so. Paul won the battle he and got revenge, but lost everything to do so: - He is forced to declare the holy war he has desperately tried to avoid - He is forced to become the Messiah figure of the prophecy he hated ("what your people did to this world is heartbreaking") - He is forced to subsume the Fremen culture he came to love ("it's not their story, it's yours. They deserve to be led by one of their own.") Worst of all, he is torn away from his friends and allies, as they transform from people who love him into blind followers who love the Mahdi, swept up in the prophecy of a religion that isn't even their own, their culture collapsing around them because of his actions. Essentially, NOTHING went the way he wanted. He would've been happiest living a life of peace in the desert, with Chani and Stilgar and the other Fremen.

Bryann Kam

Yeah, regarding that kiss between Baron Vladimir and Feyd. In the book, the Baron is confirmed to be homosexual and a pedophile, and it’s heavily implied that he sexually abuses his nephew Feyd.

Ettan

va babblar du om mannen?

Ettan

the baby was pale as hell and blonde how the hell can you think its Paul? xD

Fair point

Roshi was there with the voice of reason. He heard something illogical, and he didn't let it go. He was patient, though. I watched the movie in the theater this week, and I also misheard. I had to go on Wikia because if Paul was that guy's son, I would be traumatized.

Uriel

It can, but usually, when someone likes a movie, they experience it alone before the reaction. Or they rewatch multiple times after the reaction. In my case, I went to the theater on 04/24 even though the reaction came out on 04/15, and I watched the reaction today, 04/27.

Ettan

Ettan

The efterblivna swedish person cant grasp this concept, he seriously thinks someone would pay to watch this reaction instead of watching the movie first. "its piracy!!!!" lol

Vak

It's not legal technically but none of us are complaining lol plus there is no legal alternative as far as I know and as mentioned most people already seen it. There are some sites that let you watch something together legally by requiring both parties to own the show/movie or streaming service it comes from (netflix, hulu, etc) but those sites/apps don't let you watch it after the fact (basically livestreams it) and I don't think it could handle the amount of patreon subs these guys got.

Ernie

Yeah i was monstly wonder about the "fair use" because other youtuber have just the reaction amd u have to own the movie/show, but this is much better had i known earlier i would have joined long ago.

Cody

He says Grandfather not Hello Father

Mike Donohue

I subbed cuz I’ve been looking for the edited version and thought this might be it, did the YT cut get taken down and is that available to watch anywhere?

Lucius Reinhard

really late comment but stilgar in the beginning was telling her to hold it in because vomit is still moisture, in their eyes she was giving it away for a bunch of dead harkonnen; contrast this with them burning the corpses of the harkonnen soldiers at the end, without us knowing if they took their precious water or not

Camari Selvy

how yall interpret the baron bein his grandather twice with subtitiles

Antonio

grandfather

PJ Rivera

Yup taken down but they usually re-upload after a while. Roshi is nothing if not persistent

Thulani Mason

Yo, when Paul said "Grandfather" and Sheera and Lupa was like "He said hello father" I screamed LOL!!!!

Juan G.

WTF guys freaking clapped me and had me questioning myself smh. I understood Paul is half Harkonnen because his mother Jessica is the daughter of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen. BUT 3 people who will not be named started saying "yo Paul is the son of the Baron he not Atreides" LMFAO I had to stop rewind and google who Paul's father is mid movie lol. I don't know how all 3 of ya heard it wrong lol I hope you guys figure it out during rest of reaction which I'm about to finish now lol

Nico

That’s my biggest question from this movie—- How tr did y’all get the worms to stop to load up all those people, or are we just making multiple loops to get people one at a time.

Freeofgreed

I actually lost my mind at how they missed it TWICE

Freeofgreed

You gotta trust your gut more Roshi, i knew you knew deep down in your soul that’s not what they said but you let shera and Lupa gaslight you lmao 🤣

Nico

Drinking the Water of Life just turns you into a Honki person, I asked Paul Dune himself.

Ettan

wow so much funny wow!

Ettan

how do you americans fucking not hear shit? this is my second language and i cant see how the hell you thought this

Ettan

"lets talk out of my ass about shit i fucking no nothing about"

Uriel

Wrong assumptions. I'm neither American nor is English my first language. I guess you're just special

thegosthofvilgax

See....I ain't better than no religious fundamentalist, cause this man straight got me hyped when he gave that speech to the Fremen there. LISAN AL-GAIB!!!!

Sonic

That and how you get off that thing

Sonic

Desert Spring is the meaning of her warrioe name she mentions earlier in the movie hence "Desert Spring Tears"

Avery

So apparently the worm gets tired and slows down, whoever is driving detaches the hooks and the worm begins to submerge into the sand but is slow and low enough for them to get off. As for multiple people getting on idk.

Oliver

Perhaps the reason Dr. Strange saw all the timelines in Infinity wars is perhaps because the Marvel writer is a Dune fan and added it 2:00:18

Jess Min

He’s literally half Atreides and half Baron, I got that my first watch. I’m hollering at y’all mishearing that 😭

Terrel Hudson

Ahhh the clappening 🤣🤣🤣 that fat tub of lard is not Paul’s father

Temeculous

Lady's Jessica is the daughter of the Baron, it is unknown the actual identity of Jessica's mother, but is suspected that it was the Reverend Mother that gave paul the test in the first movie.

Kale

The “he said hello father” had me cacklin 😭😭 the quadrupling down

RF

Paul is the OG Eran Yeager. Even the way they see the future is the same. Most other titan shifters/BGs only see past memories but Paul/Eren can see "memories" from the future. The narratieve of them both being trapped by this path they don't know how to get out of, becoming villians, etc.

destiny

rewatching this reaction again, Lupa had me cryinggg talm bout "these niggas, life is cheap here" when feyd stabbed the slave worker lol

Oliver

Doing a rewatch and this is still fucking funny Lupa my man 2:37:37

Ken

😂😂😂 “hello father”👏🤡

Sekraan

Roshi knew they misheard too. You could tell. Another case of 2 on 1 leading to total clappage.

chao_2x (ABZ💙)

so did they ever figure out Baron is the grandfather not father 😭 Sheera even said “that’s what they said he’s the father” 😭 so funny

Kyphul

Yeah at the end, they rewinded to the scene

The Round Table

imagine you in the desert in your tent sleep with your phone on the ground on vibrate if someone calls your cooked game over. you just wake up in stomach acid.

Mollywopper

im sitting here waiting to see whatever it is yall misunderstood like "it cant be that bad". Yea thats a pretty big detail to misunderstand lmaooo

Masquerade

I’m pretty sure it was that the baron was pauls grandfather not father

Mollywopper

Yea I know now I'm saying before I got to that part I thought it was gonna be a smaller misunderstanding

MysticTyrant

Roshi was gaslighted twice into the wrong that was so fucking funny bro

MalConfutatis

I'm here speaking for the Innies at YouTube M.D.R asking if we can get the sacred Part II back. The sheep people have a copy but won't upload it. They paid me the 15$ in coins mind you just to somehow reach you guys.

Jack

FEYD RAUTHA

Jakel Baker

He said hello grandfather not hello father

John sekiro

Paul says to his mom “you’re the daughter of the baron” and they take it as Paul being the barons kid what is going on here😂🗿

John sekiro

Then when Paul says grandfather sheera says he said hello father😭 she huffed some spice through the screen and was hearing shit

CRAIG

In stitches I'm dead 💀 🤣

CRAIG

But how they miss that they said daughter of the baron

Student Loans

Legit got Patreon to see this reaction since it wasn't on YouTube anymore. The Dune movies are some of my favourites in recent memory. I'm so excited for Dune Messiah (or Part 3 as they've called it).

Youssef Loubnan

dude me too. subed in nov last year, and still on. best desicion iem

Jonathan Lewis

Just joined and this is my first watch

Calvin Low

U idiots forgot about how shields works

Yaya

It's killing me y'all keep saying "hello father" lmfao. he said "hello grandfather" but im sure you noticed while editing. Hopefully.

THE EXPANSE

They can’t see subtitles? Why all of them said the wrong thing in unison😭😭

mustafa ali

How did they all get it wrong lmao? He literally said the Baron was Jessica’s dad

dawn

the comments saying the same repetitive shit over and over again when they already said they know what that he said grandfather now REST! they even said it on twitter when this first dropped 😭 THEY KNOW

Ruined.

You’d think people would read the caption of things they watch but here we have 500 comments saying the same thing that the caption is talking about

chao_2x (ABZ💙)

“She’s definitely gonna kill him in the third movie” i hope yall seen that trailer they more in love then before lmao Chani- "If we have a girl, what will we name her?” Paul- “Her name should be Ghanima. She would need to be strong like her mother…& what if it’s a boy?” Chani- “I would name him Leto, so that he would have the wisdom of his grandfather" PEAK INCOMNG

Chanceg983

I don't know who I like more Juliette from Silo or Jessica in Dune. She's such a good actress

Starvvoy

They ride them until they’re exhausted and then get off. It wasn’t explained in the books so Denis came up with one with other writers

Joseph C Gdaniec

that scene from the trailer could easily just be one of Paul's visions, we don't know if that is real yet. All of Paul's visions in the movies have a warmer color tone than the real world events so it could be a vision. Chani's character in the movies is there to point out how bad it is to follow a charismatic leader blindly so her going back to him would need to have a big reason to not undermine that messaging

KalkiTheEternity

“Grandfather.” “What did he say?” “Hello, father.”

Robert Smith

Nah remember, in this movie Paul said that she will come around. He also has perfect prescience so he knows exactly what's going to happen

Łiv~Łiv

do yall not read or watch the video they rewatched the scene at the end and put it in that caption yall niggas are annoying asf

qdubs

he verbatim says in part 2 that “she’ll come to understand. i’ve seen it.” and we know this for a fact because once you drink the water of life, your visions are clear, something paul also says himself, verbatim. so I think we can conclude that paul and chani will be back together.

Zebra Cakes

lol it's funny seeing the discussions of people that never read the books and definitely don't understand how Paul's 'powers' work because the movie doesn't exposition and spell it out 10 times like a netflix movie.

Zebra Cakes

Uhh it IS explained in the books. Multiple times. Denis didn't come up with them wearing themselves out, that's mentioned all the way up to children of dune.

Krype

Had to rewatch after that war chant 😭

Krype

lol it’s funny how you think you’re better for reading the books people are allowed to theorize it’s fun.

blud

JULIET LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chris

I am DYING laughing . "Grandfather" "what did he say?" "He said hello father" LMAOOO

Krype

Accusing them of not reading the subtitles when you didn’t even read the caption is crazy 😭

peezey

bro i paused when he said grandfather and said thank you out loud... and then couldn't believe it 5 secs later

Lace King

Lmao don’t nobody care about no caption It was actually awful
