To answer sheera question. Cyclops shot Xavier chair because Xavier was gonna use magneto to undo what he did. Which would reactivate all the prime sentinels, and the other team was already struggling with just sinister, bastion, and OG sentinels. You add the prime sentinels to that and they stand absolutely 0 chance. It’s a tough situation cause on one hand if you don’t undo it, the earth is fucked in less than a hour. But if Xavier does undo it, the team still on earth likely dies

It's a running theme that Xavier prioritizes his dream of coexisting peacefully with humans through a "turn the other cheek" approach so much that he's even willing to risk the lives of his students. Basically what Magneto said about "How many of your bones will pave the way to Xavier's future?" Man was really willing to risk half his "family" and the rest of mutant kind without even checking in on the other team via his psychic powers to see if they got Bastion yet.

Magneto led a team called the Brotherhood of (Evil) Mutants that threatened the world constantly. Xavier letting that genocidal supremacist madman be in charge of his school eroded a lot of goodwill. Also, in hindsight as "leader" of the X-men he did not do much of anything besides try to steal Gambit's girl.

Yes brought up once…then brought up again a few years later with the Claremont retcon when he talks to Moria about Jean, then is revisited in 91 when Jean finds out, the concept is then redone in the ultimate X-Men series where Xavier admits the same thing in 06….my point is it’s been expressed and looked into in more than one page since 1963. True it’s not brought up in the shows universe but I wasn’t talking specifically about the shows universe and more about the character in general. But if you think that’s weak you do you, Xavier has been shown to be a pretty bad guy for decades now

Go back to the earlier episodes this season. In that office she cheated on him and it showed when she walked out Gambit cried. And the scene with Gambit, Morph and Logan walking out the danger room they checked the schedule and saw her and Magneto had scheduled to be in the danger room multiple times by themselves which is why they teased him. All he was hoping was that she chooses him but by the time she did which is right after she danced and kissed Magneto in front of him.

Fun fact: During the Intro sequence for Episode 9, right when the X-men and the Brotherhood of Mutants clash, the people in the middle have now been swapped out with the Prime Sentinels that were chasing Jubilee and Roberto.

the reason Cyclops stopped Xavier is because he knew the other team needed time. If Xavier had reversed what happened through Magneto at that time, then everything would be back on, and ALL Sentinels would be activated and after them, not just what Bastian was controlling.

Genosha was being built without his direct involvement as he didn't even have a position in the government (the most I can say is that he transported some mutants there). It would have become a UN nation with the X-men advocating for it. This show doesn't happen in a vacuum. Magneto's first appearance was to use nukes to kick off a civil war. The fact he got a pardon, and no prison time of any kind is generous.

That is why Cyclops kept giving the countdown on how many hours was remaining before the planet was going to be doomed.

So I did a bit of research on this. Without the Earth's magnetic field, the Earth is FUCKED! We'd lose our magnetosphere, which means we'd lose our atmosphere which equals no air and no protection from the different forces in space and from the Sun that would destroy our planet (cosmic rays, solar winds, etc.). This is why I take issue with Magneto; aside from him essentially adopting a Nazi ideology, he claims to be helping/avenging mutants but his actions are about to destroy the planet. Which would include mutants! And for all his talk of mutant brotherhood and sisterhood, he has no problem hurting mutants when it furthers his agenda. I always say this, but just because you can empathize or sympathize with a villain doesn't make their actions just. Sidenote: Onslaught is coming, and we are not ready.

The reason they kept mentioning Xavier giving Magneto the school is because of the path it took him on. Imagine doing things in a radical way but then you decide to try to do things peacefully only to see that it got you no where. That would prompt you to be even more radical than before because you genuinely tried to be fair but it had a negative effect in the end. Magneto went from 70 to 0 only to find out being at 0 didn't do him any good so he turns it up to 200.

It's not really a specific fight it was a training arc in Shippuden/Part II when Naruto was learning how to modify his chakra or something like that in order to create the Rasen-shuriken. In order to speed up the process Kakashi or Yamato had him make a bunch of clones to do the same exercise. All the new knowledge gained from each clone manipulating chakra for the new technique would come back to the original Naruto when he dispersed the clones. So, Madelyn being Jean's clone all her memories, feelings, and knowledge became part of Jean when Madelyn died. It doesn't work the exact same way as in Naruto, but the reference is fun and is apt in this case.

Cyclops stopped Xavier because if they reversed what Magneto did *all* of the cyborg Sentinel people (thousands, maybe millions of them) would re-activate immediately and rush to swarm Jean's squad. So he's both worried that she, and his friends, will die because of it and that it will let Bastion effectively win the human vs Sentinel fight permanently. Not saying he's right, but that's the implied motivation for it.
