And that is a totally normal thing to do. If this show was released weekly (which it honestly should have been) then people would've been making all kinds of wrong theories about what is going on every week. Do you not remember the insanity that was waiting for a new episode of Breaking Bad/Game of Thrones every week? People will make all kinds of assumptions about where the plot will go when they can't binge a show, that's part of being an engaged viewer. Most people have theories in their head when they watch about what might happen, they are just saying it out loud bc this is a reaction channel.

So just to say this, a lot of the stuff in this episode with Shady Sands and the New California Republic has some lore reprecussions and those are both big things in Fallout New Vegas which is you know obviously very close location wise to where this story takes place But the show takes place after New Vegas and there was a whole thing where a lot of fans thought this episode broke canon(it didn’t) Doesn’t mean a lot to y’all but just very interesting stuff they did

31s and 33s are having children together to keep the genepool diverse, same way lucy was paired with a vault32 in the beginning. Also permission is needed to procreate because of finite resources. Can partly explain why there are so few kids.

There are no children in the vaults because they have population control, they have to take care of their resources and the entrance to the vault was a trap. Even Maximus realizes that something is wrong when he sees the ceiling lights literally pulsing towards the door.

Yeah the thing is that they get mad at Lucy when her role is to be the light in the wasteland. Most people in the wasteland aren't bloodthirsty. They just wanna get through the day like everyone else. Its the constant distrust (and greed) that causes the problems. Not to say she was right but she's the only one trying to be on the right path.

I don't find it too annoying but obviously this isn't 31, they know all of those Vaults are connected and Lucy has traveled miles away from 33. Also they know more than three vaults exist ( I mean realistically even if it wasn't shown why would they start at 31 and stop at 33? Also Lupa has played the games in some respect so he should know there are other Vaults) So the theory or assumption that it is 31 makes literally no sense.

Timeline is Fallout 76 -> Fallout 1 -> Fallout 2 -> Fallout 3 -> Fallout New Vegas -> Fallout 4 -> the fallout show @Kumi. For added context for anyone unaware, Shady Sands was a location in Fallout 1 the player could help, and the NCR (New California Republic) was a faction you could side with in New Vegas.

Just for clarification, the Great War happened and was a big part of what lead to the bombs dropping in 2077 (the intro for ep. 1), then about two hundred-ish years later different bombs were dropped on the New California Republic. Those are the ones Maximus ended up surviving., their conflicting educations on history just made it sound like one event.

In the cleaned up vault 32, y'all noticed that the computer was still broken, but if you remember it was actually one of the few things in vault 32 that was still working, it wasn't broken before. The computer has the information that his mom's pipboy was used to open the vault, and who knows what else that they want buried, so they smashed it.

Guys, most vaults have a rule of population control as would anything in a survival situation, depends on the vaults so yeah no kids Vaults-tec is more than just vaults it’s a company so that building they entered while yes is a vault it is also a R&D lab for their work and other stuff You guys are awesome so let the show take you on the journey and don’t get folded by your own theory’s💯👊🏾

I don't think they've internalized that there are numerous vaults yet. Like we see 31,32,33 all connected but we have no idea how many there are in total, or how they are spread around the country. It's just obvious there's fuckshit going on in 31 and right as we see that, protags get dropped into some fuckshit in a vault.

children arent something you see often in fallout games anyway. children cant be directly physically harmed by the player in the games. doesnt mean they are immune to the circumstances of the wasteland tho. just how the female vault guard was getting kidnapped for GOD KNOWS WHAT in the first ep; some likely must've gotten kidnapped, murdered and other more devious things id rather not even think about. the series gets dark. Paradise Falls; A pre-war resort turned modern day slave super duper mart peddles in slaves of every age. (I freed the slaves and wiped out all the slavers in fallout 3) but thats just off the top of my head

They don't really touch on the main factions in this show but the important ones at the time of the show are the Brotherhood of Steel which were all but wiped out on the West coast and the ones in the show are all reinforcements that came from the East. The NCR which was the first newly established government in the west growing out from Shady Sands which was its capital about an hour north from the LA Boneyards. The last main faction is the Enclave which the scientist whose head everyone's after defected from.

in one of the episodes before when they went through the computers and had that video of the mice it was talking about the universe 25 experiment, which is a cool little experiment around overpopulation and how overpopulation spawns a breakdown in social functions. iirc, in the original version of Fallout 1 (when it originally released, not the Steam version), you could see children and kill them. If you do, you get the "childkiller" perk. I think you could have done it in 2 as well. They have since patched and removed children in the current Steam/GoG releases, though there probably is a patch to add them back in.
