It's not wood on him, it's scars. Stampede actually tunes down on how bad they are, Vash looks like a fuckin corpse with how wounded he is in the original manga (and somewhat the og anime). When Stampede was first previewed, many people hated and still hate Roberto for "replacing" Milly Thompson, Meryl's partner in the source material. I originally was upset with the switch up, but immediately grew to like Roberto because he filled the role of that wise mentor figure that the quartet needed. His death actually made me cry first watching, because his and Meryl's bond was so nice and fresh imo. Roberto dying here was obvious to og fans of both the manga and the original show. Meryl in both was already mature and had her own backstory that never really got addressed, outside her having an old mentor figure who gave her what would become her derringers and died. Roberto being featured with Derringers and Meryl being younger and more "naive" was little nods towards her barely there backstory. Can't wait for the last two episodes!!! So excited :]! Edit: Switched two of my paragraphs around bc spoilers were visible before the read more, my bad!

Why are the subtitles different from what they are reading?

Me laughin' at them thinking Vash's scars are wood. They're just very disgusting off-colored scars. One of Vash's very gruesome character features I remember from the OG anime. Nice to see a bit of clown Vash peek through the serious nature of the show with him sneezing like that. lol

It's been like that for a very long time actually with other reactions.

Could be the files they're using in post are different from the site they're using to watch. Most likely a different translation team (usually fan translations), while they're watching the shows from official sites (crunchyroll, netflix, ect).

Peach

I'm not sure if it's said who the person in the picture is in the last 2 episodes, if not then it might be brought up in Stargaze.

Pretty sure she'll be mentioned in 11! Not indepth but it is talked about :]!

Roberto was a dope character that wasn't in the OG anime. He brought a sense of wisdom to Meryl's character that she needed because she's too gung-ho.

NovaVortex

Leave it to Lupa to ruin an emotional scene with a sick joke 🤣 Still hilarious though.

WorldWideLove2000

I was so frickin sad when Roberto died. I liked him. The last two episodes are WILD

David James

You joke, but the manga was years before FF7 haha

ep 11 when ??? (i know it's wednesday XD)

Totally Thomas

Oh boy EP. 11! Your guess about the young woman in the picture is fascinating Roshi, but (and with no spoilers), the truth is far far worse.

now you got me curious and now I have to do my research.

Delinda Arts

this is hands down my favorite intro from yall lmao. from Sheera's looney tune style humming to Lupa's different gun/bomb sounds to Roshi just waiting for it to end 😂

correct, we watch on official sites but most places where i can get files are usually fan subs

YoNoSe11

I won’t spoil it, but there’s a lot of sad backstory with the girl in the photo.

soyu

I can’t wait for the season finale omg

Ghost_Troupe

It's actually kinda cool that they show us how Meryl gets the pistol she used in the og version.

Because they watch it on official sites like Crunchyroll and Netflix, but they cant get the video from those sites to put in the video, so they have to use fan subs they can download to put in the reaction
