I wish the discrimination against heteromorphs had been an issue we were made aware of much sooner (like during the first or second season) rather than something they only just mentioned 1 - 2 seasons ago. In my opinion, this episode would have hit WAY harder if the series built up to this longer, like they did with the Todoroki family drama. I think the moments with Shoto, Toya, and Endeavor really pops off because MHA played the long game, revealing bits and pieces of the situation as the series progressed. That's not to say this episode didn't move me, but I think the payoff could have been way stronger with earlier world building (and if Spinner's past hadn't been skipped during My Villain Academia).

Hetermorphs section is by far my favourite thing in MHA alongside todoroki family drama horikoshi cooked with that you can see he got a lot of inspiration from the X-men, just wished it had way much focus

Yeah, we already know putting too many quirks in one person makes them stupid. It basically overloads their brain. Nomu generally have that problem. So, Spinner having his own quirk (lizard?), Body Bulk and Scalemail is making it hard for him to think.

We don’t though, nomu’s are bioengineered from dead people they had no mind to begin with, the one that fought endeavor was also thinking. As well as the ones in season 6. None of them were overloading. This is the first time seeing this.

@The Truth Had to go double check just to be sure. Check out chapter 47; page 2 as spoken by Detective Tsukauchi. The nomu are bioengineered to be able to handle multiple quirks. Spinner, however, is not!

Lupa be here making random ass guesses/theories, only for them to come true later on made me laugh my ass off… 😂😂 Also I wished we got something like an early bit somewhere in like Season 3 for example that we got a Shoji vs Spinner battle so that they could get the attention of the heteromorph topic. Like we got a bit of that in Season 6 (which should’ve taken place in Season 5 before they raided that house back then), but it was too damn short. Just glossed over in a flashback sequence… this would’ve hit harder just like the Todoroki arc from Season 2. Oh well, better late than never I guess….

It's worse than that, the quirk looks like it's literally killing him. I don't think he's gonna last much longer. It reminds me of what All Might said a few seasons back, something to the effect of "I hate that about you, the way that you laugh as you toy with people's lives". I have no doubt that OFA probably gave Spinner a quirk combination that will cause him to lose all reason and eventually die.
