Chibi

Gotta love the Senshi panty shots

V STAN

Sweet!

King of New York

Senshi got the most fan service in this show lmao

ayanna

react to sonic 3 trailer pls 🙏🏾

BZD

Me seeing the thumbnail and reading the text: the ramifications of a bath?

LaTesha

It could be her but is it truly her soul being brought back and not someone else's

LaTesha

Not dragon tail (ox tail) soup 😂

Lemon drop_boom

It only goes up n up from here 🙏cooking food w each other too resurrecting using monsters

YungZeus

Lmao, imagine they revived a random nigga named Carl.

Kidhavac

Don’t worry you gonna see the ramifications😂😂

Luhbabytay

Sheera in denial😂 it forbidden magic for a reason

EDDIE_M8A

sheera passed on the sheeragan to lupa

Pai-Sal

That's funny how the gang is doubting if it's falin's bones or not, because in the Blu ray bonus chapter she's actually survive and become a cave woman, then the bones that they revive is actually just an regular old man😂 this doesn't count as a spoiler because this isn't canon lol

GJ
>>147747446

Sorta, not another person but the dragon.

Gary
>>147749362

He as gained the ability "The Wolf's eye" (cause Lupa means wolf and im a nerd)

Aniki Pft

I respectfully need Falin.

Guns

Idk bro, Marcille giving off serious “plot twist to villain” vibes

Ash

U trying to F me bro? Marcille & Roshi: yes actually

Ty Be
>>147751489

not really. one of the themes in this show is that magic is a neutral force.

KomodoughDragon

One of my favourite details in this episode is how during the resurrection scene, the carved section of the dragon behind Falin's skeleton is drawn to look like a birth canal. Because while yes, this is a resurrection spell, it's also very much a rebirth. Marcille's not just bringing someone back to life, she's completely forming them from nothing very rapidly.

Ty Be
>>147747446

literally not reall, Spoiler: shes just mixed. also thats a spoiler lmao.

Guns
>>147751489

I don’t like the vibe she gives off whenever dark magic is mentioned. Plus she’s an elf that specializes in dark magic, so like the opposite of Frieren. 🤔

Guns

Oh shit, is that dark elf the master of the dungeon? Wasnt Laios talking about making a dungeon? Shiiiiii

NecDW4

Little detail Roshi misunderstood. When Falin said "im bigger now" she didnt mean bigger from before she got eaten, she meant bigger from when she was a kid. Marcille was talking about them having had slumber parties back when they were both in school.

Ashes2Ash

some of yall in the comments gotta stop spoiling stuff. its fine to speculate but dont respond to theories with stuff that hasnt been revealed in what theyve seen.

Ara Araragi

Some clarification: Falin didn't get taller because of the resurrection. She was just saying she's grown since the last time she and Marcille shared a bed, which was back when they were still in school. And Marcille said that Falin being excited about eating monsters was the "worst possible outcome" because she was hoping Falin would take her side and think it was creepy, but she's just like Laios when it comes to that kind of thing 🤣

Shawn Oxley

This show is so peak, cant wait for the next ep

sotonye ogan

Marcille was ready to do all it takes to resurrect her best eater 😭

Url Robbo

AHHH NOW THE SHOW HAS REALLY STARTED

Delinda Arts

chewing on your opp is crazy

Isaac

This whole resurrection scene actually made me think of Full Metal Alchemist when the boys attempted to bring their mom back to life. She was so decomposed they had to use raw substitute materials and their blood to make up for what was missing and we all know what a big flop that turned out to be. Glad it worked out here and I do like the questioning on what's deemed appropriate and inappropriate in terms of magic. I like Marcelle's logic that ALL magic is neither good nor evil and it being just a tool and it all depends on who is using it and why.

Isaac
>>147751489

Being a researcher who's willing to cross the line doesn't make someone a villain dude. She's not out here murdering or risking a humanoid person's life for her own gain.

Isaac
>>147747446

Dragons don't have a sexual orientation. That's just a human concept.

BornUnMotivated

I think they just really value each other as friends I don't think it's anything else

TheRoyalHat
>>147763538

marcille said she viewed falin as a "runt" meaning little kid. she is way older than them all and that plot point is very important later on in the story.

lol
>>147763538

If you've read the manga you would know that mixed race relationships are complicated in this world but not that uncommon. Their relationship being more than friends is pretty obvious subtext, especially when you consider the author including explicit lesbian relationships in the manga (though they are for more minor characters).

Black_Star

And it's wild how they dropped this show early on 🤣🤣🤣

Orlandez Malone

The show only gets crazier from here. I never could've expected the twists and turns that are coming up

TALK NO JUTSU

Watching y'all after the show ends on 2x speed is funny also roshi sounds like bill cosby at 0.5 speed

StarFuture

imma need yall to apologize for droppin this show! lol im glad you guys picked it back up and have been enjoying it :)

Eva

I watch this show for Senshi crotch shots

YoungSalsa
>>147751489

“Plot twist villain vibes” no, she really hasn’t Spoiler: Just say you read the manga man. It’s clear you did

Guns
>>147751489

Nope, not a manga reader and never read any manga ever. So thanks for the fucking spoiler. Literally everything in this episode sets her up as ominous. And this is directly related to the producers adding in a few seconds of awkward pauses from Marcille whenever they talked about the topic, and few other ways too that im too lazy to explain how they did it. Also this anime clearly hides dark themes with the premise of a food appreciation show. There are dark moments, and immediately masks it with comedy right after. So yall can back off with these weird ass arguments from what i personally speculated. Everyone has an opinion. No need to be so fucking critical ya sleezebags 💀

Guns
>>147761760

Your pfp looks like you threatening us with something

Sun

Stop subtle hinting if their theory crafting is right in the end y'all.

Barion

Marcille said, she doesn't believe the magic she used is evil in off itself. But it is forbidden to use so she doesn't like to bring it up more than necessary. There's also the matter of using dragon parts to revive a person which probably hasn't been done before. But even if the only magic to bring Falin back was objectively evil, Marcille would definitely use it to get her back, she's that determined.

Brandon Acevedo

Senshi using the dragon corpse as an oven was some next level disrespect.

Giyuu

Lupa funny… you got something right but I’m not saying what lmfao

Giyuu
>>147766880

Yeah at first I was a lil annoyed they dropped slime for this but this is way more entertaining

Adrian Aldridge

All the shit talkers commenting when the show came back are gone

Stephen D

I think S2 op is either next episode or the one after that.

To me it's like One Piece syndrome. If you have to convince people to watch 300+ episodes of your show for it to "get good" then is your show really all that good? The answer is, no. It's the same here, If the beginning was boring - it was just boring. I happen to like interpersonal shows with character dynamics. I also like wholesome stuff, so for me the show was always something I would watch. Entertainment is subjective. As a popular example - Some swear that JJK is "peak fiction". The reality is JJK has a very weak story / plot, It's riddled with inconsistencies, very few characters that matter or exist only to be killed off later. It only excels in one category, showing the viewer "cool shit". Objectively speaking, JJK is average a.f. and I'd rank Dungeon Meshi over JJK in terms of story, lore and character building any day.

naumi

I really like that Marcille's philosophy she claims that magic has no morality, it's a tool that can be used to help or harm, there's no "evil" magic but there's evil people. Marcille genuinely believes the spell she used was the correct one and for the right reasons, but it's illegal and mage authorities probably wouldn't let it slide even if it was for a good cause :'(

The Zany Spirit

[Spoiler for ending of this episode.] I don't think I could just rummage around with my sister's skeleton. That's just too much. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Also, Marcille said it would be fine as long as they wash away the circle... you'd think that your first priority when committing a crime is to get rid of the evidence, was there a reason they didn't immediately clean it away? (Besides them just wanting to rest or reconnect with Laios's sister, or not thinking anyone would come across it so soon which would be the worst excuse. Or maybe it's as simple as it's just difficult to clean something like that, or maybe it required magic to clean which I'm certain Marcille had none left. That would actually make sense. I'm asking because the show likely said why, but I don't want to rewatch it to remember what the reason was, if there was one.)

Patrone07

^People who haven't seen the previous episode or this one shouldn't be in this comment section just saying

Bria A.

Marcille and Falin, my beloveds. When your crush takes after her brother on the “monster-eating freak” spectrum 😭 I feel sorry that the poor woman is constantly outvoted by her party lmao

Adrian Aldridge
>>147782367

Except they claimed they dropped it because "it didn't seem like good reaction content." Not that the show seemed bad

Uni
>>147782367

Folks that say one piece needs to be watched for 300 episodes for it to be good are not true one piece fans. is all I will say, a show is good from start and keeps going being good, just like with dungeon Meshi and many other shows that has a good and reasonable start. Folks that wait for a fucking moment and shock valued situation are not true fans.

The Zany Spirit
>>147795039

They shouldn't, but they are. My mind naturally drifts down to see the last couple of comments before I click to watch a reaction, and I've caught myself seeing a minor spoiler or two because of that instinct. Just because I'd only have myself to blame just like anyone who saw my comment would, doesn't mean I don't want to warn them anyways. As for people who haven't watched the previous episode going into the comment section, I was doing the same with this show because I didn't have any interest in watching the reactions to this, but wanted to see what people were talking about and if it would catch my interest in the show or not. Because of a comment I saw of episode like 9 or 10 before even watching episode 1 of this show, I ended up giving it a try. And now I'm all the way here. It makes little sense to read comments ahead of you, but it doesn't hurt me to type the spoiler warning anyways just to be nice. I wouldn't normally give a spoiler warning for a previous episode since it seems redundant, but I just felt like it for this one this once. No real particular reason, I didn't think it would bother or offend anyone. But I'll go ahead and change that part of the spoiler warning.

Nita - Kento's Widow

Falin, my beloved. Anyway. All I can say is that I am glad yall picked this show up again.

Didier
>>147782367

No offense, but true One Piece fans know that Toei's adaptation is trash. The reason why some people say you need to get through 300 episodes to get into it might be because it's the time necessary for some to get used to the terrible slow pacing and redondant filler scenes that pop out every 2 minutes in each episode, when it is not the entire episode itself (or entire arc) that is filler. There is a reason why fans created "One-Pace" and there is a reason why Oda asked Wit Studio for a remake of the anime. Toei might have upped the quality of their adaptation when they renewed their staff during the last seasons, but it is still 90% slow paced filler and is insulting to the stellar writing of the original manga. "True One Piece fans" read the manga.

Molly 80

I’m glad they continued this show

Atlas Creation

why wouldn’t you think it would be falin when they uncovered her staff the previous episode.. wait.. you were talking during it😅

Austin Ernst

It's actually been revealed just recently that the Author of Dungeon Meshi was asked about Falin and Marcille's relationship being romantic and they pretty much said that it is up to interpretation more or less and that they specifically wrote it without that in mind. The translation of the interview can be shotty but essentially baseline they are just really close friends. My personal view from when I saw this was its an anime thing and that they are just really good friends in the end. Both rely on each other for a lot of things, and they are each other's first real best friends in this world. I can see where people think so in this case but then I am on the side where they just are super best friends' case.

funkymew

yay for yuri on my birthday!

Ren Lichtfoot
>>147881592

You said the author said its up to interpretation then immediately said you thought they were just friends. Isn't that just your interpretation? lol

Austin Ernst
>>147881592

And...? I don't think there was any problem with what I said? 🤣 When I saw the episode when it aired I personally didn't think anything romantic was going on that's just how I viewed it. The interview happened about a week or so ago and I figured it would be worth sharing as well as comment on what I think the relationship between the characters were presented as. Nothing wrong with thinking either or in this situation.

Austin Ernst
>>147881592

Lmao I did write it just before bed so I probably bricked up on how I wanted to say it. Essentially the author of this series got interviewed recently and the interviewer was asking some weirdly worded or out of pocket questions about certain characters and aspects of the story. One of those questions was about Falin and Marcilles relationship and the interviewer wanted to say they are a thing. The author responded by tiptoeing around that and stating that wasn't the intention of writing those characters together in the series, however, the author didn't dismiss the idea either. Leaving it up to the readers/audience on what they think in the end. That's the gist of that part of the interview. In my main comment I said what I thought about their relationship was when I first saw the episode when it aired and this was before the interview of course that I saw them as close friends from school. Big part of their relationship is two different people bonding over magic and they become each other's first true friend. Hopefully my tired spir last night got cleared up 🤣

KomodoughDragon
>>147881592

If this were a male and female character there wouldn't be anywhere near the same kind of pushback on people inferring one or both of them had feelings for each other. People ship Laios and Marcille together and I've never seen anyone say it's weird or push back in the same way. There are a TON of extras (not talking about mainline manga content, not trying to spoil anyone) that show Marcille being very possessive over Falin and in roles that would be typical of a partner, but it gets dismissed for the exact same reasons that people tried to argue Miorine and Suletta were *just friends* (an even more absurd argument). Nothing's confirmed, sure, but when people only strongly argue against one specific ship, it starts to feel really weird and intentional.

Austin Ernst
>>147881592

I've seen people argue over both ships with Marcille on both sides and quite frankly, I don't think there is much of a romantic tone with said characters. However, I can see how or why it would be possible for both ships to happen as well. If you ask me if I had to prefer or choose, I would think Laios and Marcille have a better dynamic for that kind of thing than Falin. The author pretty much leaves it up in the air with how the series goes so it's honestly whatever you think is best lol.

Justin Spencer

Satisfying seeing them save here glad we didn’t drag it for seasons

Justin Spencer

Did anyone else peep that the sword has only ran from threats and ran from the sister 👀 I think that was a hint I don’t think the vibe is right don’t get cozy yall

Sham3ful

Hearing "Celestial Dragon" & magic together sounds like some super racist magic iykyk. Anyway I'm enjoying the pure Senshi fanservice!

Royal Lucario
>>147881592

I see them as friends and don't see laios and marcille together either. I think people who see any of them together are just wanting a relationship to exist just because.
