Glad y’all enjoyed it. I didn’t like it when I saw it in theaters. The shaky cam for some of the action scenes, some plot choices, and some of the actor’s accents ruined it for me. It’s like a 5/10 for me. Also, why is shaky cam still a thing? Shouldn’t even exist in action movies anymore.

I saw this in the theater with my grandma (she loves the crazy action movies, broke her arm coming out of John Wick 4). She said this was the best and worst movie she's ever seen because of the moments they were just a little too much.

Yea I'm with Roshi idk how that underground fight club announcer is making any money because if everyone knows to never bet on the monkey and they are always winning how is everyone getting paid when you are immediately returning the money to the winners on what they bet plus their winnings. Unless there is a lot of bad gamblers that actually bet on the monkey, they take 10 percent of the winners earnings and charge them a fee to get into the fights. Still doesn't seem like enough to make up the cost

The socio-political commentary is that what happened in the movie is literally happening in India. Minus the monkey themed hero saving the day. There's a fascist government of Hindu fundamentalists in place exploiting the shit out of their people and murdering minority groups. The movie was actually banned in India.

Okay I guess that would make since if the locals aren't the only ones going to the fights and it's filled with tourists. It would be a bust if it was only just the same ppl that lived in the area going all the time and betting. *Spoiler in comments* (I didn't want to put my entire comment on the original comment, as I remember you can't hide text on Patreon) I enjoyed this film, especially the revenge story. I love that there is more rising creation in cinema where we see a lot of other countries. Generally, it is very cool to me. This reminded me of Furie. It obviously has a very different plot, but the devotion both characters had to reach their goal of sending those hands to anyone in the way was incredible.

This guy did not have an exit plan, which made it all the better. It would have felt cheap if he had just escaped, given, as the trio said, that he had had the most wanted status. Also, not in every film does the MC have to survive to accomplish the goal, as he still gets it done. Given the plot of of this film, it's definitely okay if this is the only one, as turning it into a series would cheapen the ending, tbh.

It is crazy that stuff was obviously changed for this movie to be released into theatre's and streaming. Because the political Hindu fundamentalist were initially named after the existing party. Its a shame that, that was lost but I'm not surprised since it shines a spotlight on very famous Indian officials and celebrities that support the exploitation of land...a certain Jonas brothers wife for example

So in India they have this thing called the Caste System and basically, it’s near impossible to change your socioeconomic status. So if you are born poor, then chances are you will die poor, and conversely, the rich will remain rich. This is also tied into skin tone as well where there lighter Indians are normally upper class/ rich. 49% of India’s urban population reside in the slums and that is a record low, might I add.

Dev Patel is a good actor. You guys might recognize him from the terrible live action adaption, he was Zuko. Of course he is known for Slumdog Millionaire. He also has a medieval fantasy, The Green Knight. Personally he was a fan cast for Mr. Fantastic

this is australian made if im not mistaken, making an indian film its an indie film new market to me, this is a mssive leap in substance and cinematography that the indian market are exposed to.. you wont see this in any hollywood movie. in that sense, them leaning on shaky camera, training montage and other cliche, doesnt bother me that much
