Arthur Morgan only got redemption from our experience as he was the main character, so if the game was in a different POV it's likely he wouldn't have had any redemption to us. Vegeta did, but it's only completely unfair for him to have found it after doing everything shitty he has. Bardock wasn't ever perceived as a good person, who's only redemption is saving their kid (might have the wrong Bardock in mind while writing this). Basically saying, these redemptions you state happen, aren't really redeeming anything they've done previously

So he was psycho before he "died" now that they revealed he's the 'slasher' that they mentioned in ep 1. Now he wants to turn it around because sadly he was a dude who felt nothing and unfortunately came across a random suicide that sparked joy in his heart. He dies, resurrecting with a crisis only to find killing still brings him joy bit the power of love stops him and y'all are ... disappointed? I'm sorry but ANY reason or motive to make a psycho murderer stop killing is a good reason. I mean this was his second attempt, his first being when he asked his mom about the murders and her response motivated him to stop.

I see your point but I feel like it's kind of different. Vegeta is a part of an alien warrior race that is being forced to conquer planets. He doesn't understand the relationships and values of other species and was literally raised to kill/conquer. Once he got to live on earth and had a family of his own he started to become a lot more compassionate. I'm also watching this for the 1st time but from what we know right now, Hiro is a human from Earth who had a pretty decent family, upbringing, and friends but chooses to kill innocent people for basically no reason.

I gotta bring up Harley Quinn too now because people love her and glosss over the murder of innocence she's done in her career as a villain. Vegeta is a bad example on my end. Also Hiro did endure a broken home life. His dad left his mom and made a whole new family staying with his mom who is broke so he's technically living in poverty and probably holds resentment for his dad living happy while he watches his mom in constant suffering.

Nahhh CORE difference is this show went out of there way to show how evil bro really is. Not excusing the stuff Vegeta did but he was bred to be a conqueror/warrior while Hiro went to the extreme because it gave him a rush.

I honestly would have prefered if they had one more ep or a part of an ep really fleshing out Hiros character at this point. Like really knowing why he did it or the chick actually trying to talk to him everyday type thing (maybe i missed it the actual reason) but it would make his turn over and crash out more satisfying? im guessing his memorys are what make him regret his actions. yknow from when he was human. But now he is a machine that cant feel for anyone and that fact is what makes him sad. He only loved his mother after becoming a robot and thats because all those good memories of love ever since he was born. also i think Gramps is the same, but since he is old he takes more time to think about his actions. His life before becoming a machine was unfullfilled and he wasnt able to do anything meaningful with his life, which is why he now helps people
