another stellar episode!

V STAN

Bro, if they pop off again in the finale then I'll say it! This'll be the best season of MHA

Khalan

can someone tell me how to deal with patreon's "something went wrong" whenever I click on YaBoyRoshi's patreon, I can't look at their past posts. It's on my browser btw.

YaHuurdMe

When I say the finale is gonna be the most hype episode in MHA

PJ Rivera

Banger after banger, glad I stuck around even after all the mid set-up seasons. I’m just not a fan of the ending unless they pull a naruto shippuden and make a continuation

Sheraya san

MHA has not missed at all this season! The Ururaka vs Toga showdown has been a long time coming and damn was that satisfying, I loved everything abt this episode

Manchester United

this episode felt like an hour long show....movie level fight

Justin Spencer

Oh shit y’all dropping the 🔥 today 😮

Caleb Gaming9099

This episode was beautiful, I was literally waiting for this ep the whole season, uruakka may be my personal favorite now

Mob K.O.

There reaction to toga next episode gonna be interesting

Tenroku

Banger after banger. This season’s peak 🔥

Boogie's Games

Bro Toga gotta go like jus end her already she so damn weird and annoying

Guns

“am i cute?” “Ew— i mean yeah”

CleoKujo

“Cause you’re doing crime!!!” I’m crying roshi

Cory
>>151690546

I think it is fixed now, so this probably means nothing, but it was an issue with Patreon AFAIK, it affected every page for me.

Beagle

The whole league of villains turned out to be so much better written than I expected when I first started this series. They're a collection of characters who show all these different facets of how hero society, where regular people basically hand over their personal responsibility to these idolized heroes with tons of power, ends up hurting people.

Cory

The Sheeringan strikes again lol

Khalan

Oh ok mines is fixed now to

Kingmakaii

Poor toga she really had an trash life because of something she had no control over it’s sad why she my favorite villain in MH

Greg Harrison

Ochako went above and beyond, and even acted as Toga's therapist

Coatl45

More than as an asset to the heroes, Toga would’ve been a godsend in the medical field. Just a shot of blood, and bam! Perfectly viable blood transfusions with no risk of rejection. That therapist and her parents are straight garbage. If any of them could’ve realized Toga’s potential, and pointed her to the right path…

LiquidXGravity

It's a good thing Ochaco is not a villain she could make an entire city rain bodies

Frederick

Back to back episodes of putting me in my feelings. And it doesn’t help with that damn end credit theme 🥺

Uly A O

Toga just always a tragic character to me. Like Sheera said no one tried to understand her and was just told her she’s a monster/isn’t human. Like if you were told that over and over and over hard not to see how she becomes the villain. Again not that she is guiltless be any account, but if she had gotten the right support, like by an hero who had a blood quirk, she may had stood a chance to have been a cool hero. Or honestly just lived a semi-normal life too.

Merfhew

I hope we get another season, no matter how long or short it might be. But I'm guessing MHA will get a movie finale. That seems to be the hot thing these days.

Luffy_77

I 100% believe that Toga is the most complex characters in mha, even above the whole todoroki drama. I'LL DIE ON THIS HILL ALONE

Alexis Fajardo

lmfao imagine uruaka saying "Zero Gravity: Primary lotus"

Earphone Jack

Ochaco's VA cried in the studio while doing her lines. I completely understand why because I teared up/cried myself.

Butthead faxe

PRIMARY LOTUS😭😭😭 THATS FUCKRD UPP

BZD

I love how when Ochako floated all the clones it looked like something you’d see in space, like a nebula, or maybe an arm of a spiral galaxy.

DANIEL PEREZ
>>151696658

like vlad sensei imagine toga in 1b after vlad raised her she would have been why the heroes wins easier

botanbutton

Oh my god, the tears, my tears! 😭Himiko Toga's story is so sad; for some reason it was her story that made me realize how easily preventable the whole League of Villains was. Each one of them needed anyone to listen, understand, and see their humanity. It's All for One that doesn't care for a single one of them, they are just pawns to him. And I get what Sheera is saying about Toga's quirk and how that would be awesome if she were to become a hero but at this point, she's killed too many innocent people. Gentle never killed anybody, Lady Nagant was originally a hero, & Stain is just a loose cannon. He'll likely end up back in prison or hopefully rehabilitation.

Delinda Arts

Ururaka's VA got in the booth and knew her assignment fr

Fizzy

Nah a ochacho gravity primary lotus would be brutal 🤣🤣🤣

DANIEL PEREZ
>>151696083

and the jokes she would play disguising as eraser sensei, or getting mineta into more trouble.

Jmoney
>>151697001

I’d say the todoroki family drama was actually very simple but allowed the most to flesh out in the anime while Toga’s has been the most complex because it ties into so many plot points that haven’t been thrown explicitly into our face until this point of the series. + I win never forgive season 5 for not including proper explanation for the quirk singularity doomsday theory and how quirks can influence their wielder cause too many people think her desire to drink blood was innate and not the influence her quirk had on her and if given the proper help from her parents she wouldve never reached this point

Luffy_77
>>151697001

I meant as in the singular Todoroki, our Todoroki, you can’t really compare the complexity of a single character to that of entire family tree

Oppiee

"I have to make you land on your neck now" that shit had me choking on my food LOL stay safe funny little react man

Ghost_Troupe
>>151697001

Nah, her complexity is actually kind of dumb. It only seems complex because Horikoshi refuses to acknowledge the fact that Toga is just a serial killer that he wants everyone to feel sorry for.

Ghost_Troupe

Toga grew up with the mind of a damn serial killer. I still don't understand how it's somehow society's fault that she ended up the way she did. She was always headed in that direction.

Luffy_77
>>151697001

The fact that you think she’s a serial killer with the mindset of a serial killer just means you didn’t fully understand her character, if u look at it like in that way then they’re all serial killers 🤷‍♂️, Dabi, Spinner all of them, but that’s not the point of their character

Uly A O
>>151696658

100% that shouldn’t be forgotten she did that nor forgiven, but I contributed that to literally no guidance or support. Her obsession was a side effect of her quirk that was labeled evil from the start.

Rubin
>>151701627

This is a world of quirks where people’s quirk can make them way different than societies standards. And as a child instead of her parents trying to figure this out or help her. They completely shunned and called her abnormal.

Antonio

Quirks impact personalities and personalities impact quirks. Toga was dealt a horrible hand and everyone around her absolutely failed her. This obsession with "fixing" irregular behavior in kids without seeking to understand is still a real matter. Like she can't go around biting people freely, but she couldn't help how her brain was wired. The entire league, barring maybe Compress is reflective of "a child not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel it's warmth". The series didn't handle navigating social outcasts perfect across the board(I remember Nux bringing up Gang Orca way back in like the 2nd season and wish we explored that dynamic earlier), but it does handle Shigi, Dabi, Twice and Shigi very well.

Matthew Osteen
>>151701627

Yeah this episode lost me. I agree 100% like why are you trying to make me feel bad for a serial killer.

Beagle
>>151701627

Literally nobody ever even attempted to help her. Nobody made even the slightest attempt to understand WHY she acted the way she did. She wasn't born with the "mind of serial killer," she was born with what everyone else assumed was the mind of a serial killer because they didn't understand or care to understand anything deeper than "ew yuck you're weird." The whole point of this episode is that had anyone reached out and tried to understand her at any point during her childhood, she could have gone down a very different path.

Beagle
>>151696658

By this point, she wants to kill people out of anger at how the world never tried to understand her. But there's no actual implication that, as a kid, she actively wanted to hurt or kill anyone. By the time she is actually causing harm, it's largely because she sees no other way to make a place for herself in the world.

CornCobBob
>>151701627

her quirk made her have an affinitiy for drinking blood. No one bothered to figure that out. Like they could have established rules and guidance while giving her blood pack from a donation. There, a sensible solution to helping someone with a quirk, in a society where there is an entire industry to helping deal with their quirks, deformations and unique mutations.

Asher Ealey
>>151701627

I half agree with you which is why this episode didn’t hit too hard. She literally enjoyed drinking blood to the point that she was asking why nobody else did it. Any normal person is gonna think she is crazy. The part that I do have sympathy towards is that literally nobody helped or tried to put her in position to get help and help her deal with her insanity

Isaac
>>151701627

You saying she has the mind of a serial killer is the EXACT problem that caused her to go down this path.

Asher Ealey

I personally don’t get where people got emotional in this episodes. I understand she got dealt a bad hand. I also get that ultimately the fact that absolutely nobody looked to get her any help or help her manage her thoughts is what led to this. But let’s not overlook the fact that from a young age she enjoyed drinking blood. To the point where she was asking if people hide their love for blood and saying “Why doesn’t everyone drink it.” I don’t care what the situation is anyone who sees/hears that is gonna think that person is insane. What happened to her was bad I also feel like toga acting like she was completely normal and there was absolutely no reason for people to respond the way they did was kinda weird

Isaac

Man, Toga was FAILED by society not really knowing how to deal with how her brain is wired. Honestly, this reflects irl in Japan too. Last I heard, Japan isn't doing well with accommodating people with mental illness or those who are neurodivergent. They just try to correct you to be normal and ignore what people like this really need. I'm a little ignorant on the entirety of Japan and their methods of dealing with people who suffer like this but I know its a real issue there and this whole thing with Himiko speaks on that though Himiko is an EXTREME case.

Asher Ealey

Mha has all these tragic villains…… and then there is AFO who was evil from the womb😂

joe

WATCH THE OP NEXT EP

Asher Ealey

Let’s be fr. What mother isn’t reacting like that seeing that her child loves sucking blood

WTT_321

After seeing Toga's outcome from her childhood from at least having a quirk that's creepy to everyone who feels disgusted by blood quirks to being quirkless like Midoriya who was just ostracized for not even having any power, the world of MHA is so f*cked up because it's like no matter what quirk you have/don't have, you'll be judged harshly in a way. If only she got counseling from some specialist that could've helped her maybe find a positive in utilizing her quirk, maybe she could've turned out better.... However, that doesn't excuse her now for what villainous acts she did and like Shiggy, she needs to go.... Ok whoever thought of "Pika-chew" ok ok someone couldn't resist adding that in lol Also did I just read that one part correctly that Ochaco actually confessed that she loves Izuku Midoriya? Last comment for now, Ochaco's VA deserves a raise. Like her speech from Season 6, she delivered this dialogue with so much emotion that I almost felt emotional damage, I mean not as much damage as the previous episode, but close enough...!

Victor Grubbs

The thing about the League is, yes they’re criminals. Yes they need to pay for their actions, but they were an inevitability based on the way society is. It’s not about forgiving them necessarily, it’s about understanding how they were forced to this point and what needs to be rectified in order to keep people from suffering to this extent.

GormleyPeach

I had a lot i didn't like about with the last 2 arcs in the series but the anime is much better in my opinion. The va/music and animation really made stuff hit harder!

Greg Harrison

Toga did not kill the bird, she just liked blood, so if she had better parents she could've been taught better ways of dealing with her blood quirk without anyone getting hurt.

Beagle
>>151706054

But that's the point, for her it literally is normal and nobody ever tried to help her understand why other people might react differently. She says "I don't get it, why does nobody else do this?" and instead of helping her understand her parents just freak out and call her a monster. Two of our protagonists are a kid who sweats dynamite and a guy with a literal demon living inside him. NOBODY is normal here, and it's pretty clear it's possible for parents to work through shit like that if they try to. Yeah of course it's an off-putting quirk to have, but the point is that her cravings come directly from her quirk and society's unwillingness to understand how that works leaves people like Toga without a place in the world. It's not about Toga thinking she's "normal," it's about the fact that she should be able to find a place in society despite not being normal.

Arima kana

Want to have my dick cut by toga and let her suck my blood from the served area

Isaac
>>151706054

Think of Himiko's case being how a nuerodivergent person feels in a world that doesn't understand them. Himiko is an overexagerrated case but it's that and that's why people can feel sorry for her and how she was failed.

Isaac

Someone brought up King Vlad in a comment and it makes me wonder what his case was like growing up. He has a Blood related quirk too and I'm betting he probably had a strange fascination of making himself bleed and playing with his blood since his quirk revolves around self blood manipulation. Obviously the normalcy education worked on him since his quirk only revolves around himself as an individual which is easier to handle than Himiko's which revolves around the blood of others. Maybe if they tried having him in her life he could help but then again she wasn't for conforming to being "normal" so it'd probably all still lead down the same tragic path.

Offw0rlder

Fuck Hawks. That is all.

Sham3ful
>>151694426

Honestly they all felt like a group of homies who could've been cool ass heroes only to have gotten supremacy hoed by society instead being able to get help & therapy, then all got groomed by AFO to just be supervillains

Tremaine
>>151712565

I think most of us are comfortable in the comments but I think you got a Lil to comfortable sir

PhaedrusRumple

Saw a YouTube comment saying Toga could have been a good medical hero.

Dune

Primary lotus mid talk no jutsu would be hilarious 😂

Amir Shipp

It scares me that we are 7 seasons into this show and people still are like "Toga's a weirdo, who likes that, she should stop being psycho". Like, y'all have the reading comprehension of a wet cabbage. 😭

Butthead faxe
>>151731610

literally saw a comment like that earlier shit got me so heated like are we 12???😭

Amir Shipp
>>151701627

Toga never grew up with the mind of a serial killer, did you not watch the episode? Toga grew up wanting to use her Quirk like EVERYONE ELSE, it just happens her Quirk is scary to others. Toga didn't hurt anyone until after she was publicly labeled a monster, she didn't hurt the bird or Saito. Instead, she went to kiss/suck(same word) their injuries just like Nurse Granny does and they assumed she was hurting people. The whole series is about people labelling her without actually listening to her, so at least you got that first part down. Next, you just gotta get to the empathy

Asher Ealey
>>151706054

Neurodivergence is so broad. But toga is beyond that. She should have been provided with serious help so that she could manage it better. However we also gotta stop acting like most people wouldn’t react the way everyone did. The part that she was let down is her parents and the teacher not trying to help. But everyone else was completely justified in how they behaved which is why I couldn’t really feel for her

Diggs
>>151707577

Didn't they already react to curtain call? Or do you mean the changes made to the op?

Boogie's Games

I’d jus like to formally take back what I said about toga cause damn her life as a kid was sad asf

Nico

I’ll be happy once we don’t gotta see Toga anymore

Asher Ealey
>>151706054

I love what you said there especially at the end. However where I disagree is that everyone else are a different case because it is a quirk thing and not a character thing. Her behaviour is not in any way normal even in a world full of quirks. She genuinely likes drinking blood. Now her parents were awful and so was the teacher. Their initial reactions were justified cause at the end of the day, what she was doing was insane. However them not even caring enough to help her manage and teach right from wrong? There is no defending that. Anyone else? They are completely justified in treating her the way they did. There is no person even in that world that is gonna see a girl going around drinking blood and react normally. So despite it being a great episode, for me this episode just didn’t hit me on an emotional level. I do love how this series depicts the importance of a good role model/mentor though.

Fraudkuna
>>151705652

The roles should've been reversed, imo. My boi Twice should've been the one avenging her death right now. Goof villain turned serious threat is way more interesting than psycho girl #786. And yes, I get her character. Doesn't mean I have to like it.

Senjioh

Its the same as Decay now, it will float anyone touching the person she initially touched very nice upgrade And imagine Himiko as a doctor/nurse she could turn into an injured person and provide the exact blood type they needed instantly she could easily save a ton of people and thats just one use of the quirk.

Luffy_77
>>151697001

Yeah they failed to explain that her quirk is what makes her feel the way she feels about blood and how that’s related to her having feelings towards other ppl she finds special, had they done that more people would’ve liked her character a lot more

Amir Shipp
>>151731610

You ain't gotta be all weepy, but the whole point of the episode/series is that it's easy to judge her and harder to understand her, but that's necessary to changing society for the better. Doubling down on calling her a monster knowing that's why she started acting this way to begin with is just nasty work. lol

Amir Shipp
>>151706054

Her Kosei (Personality/Quirk) is that she drinks blood and it turns her into others. Blood consumption is quite literally in her genetic code, it's a biological function to consume the blood of others and it helps her understand them. Even the word for "kiss/suck" highlights that blood as an oral fixation is how she shows intimacy unique to her. It's no different than how Saito craves sugar because it makes his Quirk stronger, how Tokoyami craves darkness because Dark Shadow is more comfortable in it, how Tsu hates the cold cause she's a frog who will literally be forced to hibernate, Bakugo having a literally explosive personality, Shiggy and his destructive urges. Even without the Meta Liberation ideals of "freedom of expression", this isn't like telling Momo to never create stuff. You're talking about someone who has a biological inclination compounded by emotional craving, then repressed by societal expectations. It IS her Quirk because she wouldn't even consider blood sucking if she didn't have the ability to do it and it wouldn't mean anything to her to suck blood if it didn't feel like a way to "kiss" people and become close to them. You can't just eliminate the root cause because it is who she is, you have to help guide her by accepting that's her baseline

Asher Ealey
>>151706054

First of all the quirk is not the personality itself it shapes it. It is subtle but makes a big difference. Characters you mentioned like tsuyu it is not a condition for their quirk but a biological need. Toga’s is not a biological necessity it is a behaviour shaped by her quirk that just wasn’t corrected. The kiss thing is a reach. When you say you suck something in Japanese you literally say “Chu chu”. That just happens to be what some people use to say kiss. Even when she fought the blue lady in s6 maybe 5. She said it was the mix of her adoration for people and her interest in blood that made her like this. That interest in blood was absolutely influenced by her quirk and she never learned to control herself because no one helped her. With that being said, aside her teacher and parents, how everyone else reacted towards her was completely justified. Regardless of the reason, what she did doesn’t change. Despite the circumstances there were still other paths she could have chosen. Is it her fault? For the most part no. Did I find it tragic? Absolutely. Don’t get it twisted, I still thought this was an excellent episode and her her whole story was done fantastically it just didn’t sway me much emotionally.

Amir Shipp
>>151706054

No, the word Quirk is 'Kousei" which translates to Personality. I'm telling you that outright that it's written both literally and metaphorically that every person's Quirk is a representation of who they are or are in the process of being. It's why Vestiges are created from every stolen Quirk, AFO stole pieces of her soul, their lives. So, yes, Toga's Quirk is directly related to her blood craving and the fact she sucks blood from wounds is also her kissing boo-boos and the fact her ability allows her to become closer to people she loves by becoming just like them are all intended by intelligent design. Her Quirk is how she connects to others fundamentally, but that's why she needed empathetic and patient guidance, because it's SO intimately core to her being.

Asher Ealey
>>151706054

Yes “Kosei” technically means personality but when it is used it is always used in a way talking about one’s gifts or individuality. Hence why you get words like “koseiteki” which is now an adjective meaning distinct or unique. I never said her quirk and her cravings were not related. In fact I actually said the opposite in my last reply. Her biggest problem was that her adoration towards people was just like ochaco but her interests/adoration to their blood made her do things that were inhumane. She absolutely needed guidance and even just a loving family. However whether it was her fault or not, the choices that came after that cannot be ignored. There was also other paths she could have took and she happened to choose the worst one. After that the way society reacted was 100% reasonable after she went over the edge. Honestly I think we agree with each other for the most part it is just that last part that differentiates from this eps not swaying me emotionally and you having the opposite experience. Great talking though. It’s rare to see people who keep it respectful with this stuff

Tj Denby

IDK if its just me getting older, but I'm tired of heroes trying to talk no jutsu themselves out of situations. Just kill homegirl and keep it pushing lol

TheMidnightTrain
>>151816085

To be fair, that saying was coined because of Naruto would always connect his trauma to those around him and somehow they would always buy it. As long as they are a foil to the character and it makes sense, there aint nothing wrong with it. It's only when its such a stretch and yet it still works does it become a problem.

Phroug

Only thing i'm not liking about this season so far is these disney channel ass defeats. Like homegirl you are literally a mass murderer, any sympathy I had for you dried up 5 seasons ago

Phroug
>>151816085

I think it's more blatant in this show because truth be told 90% of these villains are flat out not interesting enough to have lasted all these episodes. You do something like this in Season 2-3? Sure. But i'm not trying to watch Toga and Ururaka talk about their feelings while Deku and Shigaraki are having the battle of the fucking century off screen

Ren Lichtfoot
>>151915122

I think that's the point that the show is helping people to understand. In Toga's case, it was necessary to talk her down, because there was absolutely no way she'd have lost due to force. If you recall, Hawks did the same thing to Twice before he was forced to kill him. Ochako just managed to succeed. There's so many psychopaths, narcissists, bullies, failed relationships, and "mean girls/guys" because people don't know how to communicate effectively. People become addicted to toxic feelings because it feeds their ego - even as the world and people around them suffer because of it. I'm fairly sure that MHA is lowkey addressing these topics through the medium of entertainment. And personally, I agree with it.

Abstract Dread

So i'm not the only one not feeling these connecting through feelings thing they doing huh, these guys are literally mass murders and they trynna come to an understanding with them lmfao. Kill them and let it be done i mean seriously none of this would have happened if they just killed them when they caught them. countless people have died and many more lives connected to them has been ruined and lets not mention all the infrastructure that's been destroyed, and all, and i ALL OF THESE COULD'VE BEEN PREVENTED. Pisses me off cause the heros just want to stubbornly stick with their stupidly self righteous mindset.

Denzelwya
>>151941643

I mean that mindset is what sets them different from villains but I see what you mean

Kahele Uchiha

Quick question will ypu guys watch the movies

Tahti

The fact that people don't understand that quirks impact how a person functions this late in the series is crazy to me. It's been explained soooo many times why Toga (and others) who come off as "weird" are the way that they are. And just like the real world, if you're different, people try to force you to conform instead of trying to figure out ways to support so you don't go down the wrong path. Which is exactly why the LOV ended up forming. The show has shown time and time again that just because someone is labeled a "hero" it doesn't mean they are a good person or that they don't do terrible things that harm others. Plus this confrontation has been building since these characters first met. I understand that this is considered like a battle shounen, but people who are just like "I'm tired of them talking, they just need to fight" have completely missed the mark on what this show is about

Gumball watterson
>>151941643

bro duh, the heros know killing them is the easy way to go but they can barely touch some of these mfs lol also there is literally a character with this mindset HAWKS. The reason they are trying to understand them is to stop it from happening to others. If you haven't noticed these guys aren't PURE EVIL villains like afo, sukuna or kid buu they are all broken. Broken people need to be understood so others can learn from them. These people went bad because of society either not accepting them or not helping them. So the villains gotta let mfs know that they fucked up. Yes innocents will die but at one point they were innocent also so they don't care. Shit is a cycle, SO the heroes have to break that cycle...see what im saying? Also there neither Deku nor Ururaka is self-righteous. TLDR: killing them isn't wrong when they're a threat to others but understanding them can help prevent more.

Gumball watterson
>>152079967

I'm so glad that there are still people who actually utilize their brains & understand the point of the show. I feel like the people irl who say "just fight & kill that villain" would be just like the pedestrians of this series that cause these villains to become what they are. These are tragic villains, not pure evil ones lol, their actions need to be understood to prevent it from happening to others.

Abstract Dread
>>151941643

Past a certain point and I really didn't give af about any understanding. Need I remind you just one of the being Shigaraki destroyed a city causing so many deaths. Joker had a tragic upbringing but you don't see anyone having a tragedy bonner for him, past a certain point nothing else should matter except the elimination of the of a mass murder.

jacob custard
>>152079967

No I think most people understand but it's still really dumb in this situation. This isn't a bank robbery or something, they're fighting a war, and the heroes are losing. Now is not the time for heart to heart speeches. It's time to shut the fuck up and fight. Did Naruto come have a heart to heart with Pain after he destroyed the Leaf? No. He stood on business and defeated him, then when he wasn't a threat to what was left of the village, Naruto had the chat. This is no longer heroes vs villains its literally a war for the future of the world. They need to start acting like it. I think that's what a lot of people are upset about. It is in fact time to start killing some of these villains.

Was gonna comment some things but sheera and them explained it perfectly at the end ....this is why I watch yall VA s went crazy this ep and yea if someone understood himiko then she wouldve been a good girl....remember at childhood she never tried to hurt anybody or forcefully drink blood she only wanted to just drink blood if she saw a chance to

Tahti
>>152079967

@jacob I get you (and if this was the real world I'd probably be thinking differently too), but this isn't Naruto, this is My Hero Academia. This thinking again completely misses the mark on what the overarching theme of this show is. Sure expecting that with All For One makes sense (cuz that man is truly just evil), but the focus characters in LOV aren't like that which is the whole point. This is how the show has been from the very beginning so I'm just not sure why people are expecting a different outcome?

Eli Kisamo

This episode was beautiful.

botanbutton
>>151941643

You are just straight up refusing to understand what Gumball said. Smh. You forget what Deku himself said. Fighting may not be avoidable, but he doesn't want to ignore what's deep inside Shigaraki. He also said he doesn't know if killing him is the answer, because it may be, but he wants to save that child crying inside him. Do you see a common theme in both of those statements? Also, Batman (the REAL Batman) is always trying to understand Joker and the rest of Gotham's baddies. He'll stop them, he'll beat them to a pulp if needed, but he's not killing them because that's sinking to their level. He realizes they are human and need actual help and understanding; something that they didn't receive before. Joker & AFO are more similar than Joker & Shigaraki in quite a few ways, so it makes sense to me no one greatly empathizes with the Joker's tragedy and trauma. Shigaraki's story IS relatable to a degree so it's easier to empathize with him.

A tiny detail I love is that the hero who made Ochacos parents smile when she was a child is actually one Toga killed in the raid on the Gunga villa he was called Eel Boy
