To this day, this is still my favorite Blue Lock arc… so I really hope animation is up to par. Not only did they have less time to work on this season that the first one, they also had a wholly unnecessary movie in between to work on. This arc deserves nothing but a Haikyuu quality adaptation. Fingers crossed.

All that I ask for in terms of animation is that it’s at least on the same level of quality as season one. If we can get that then I’m good. I hope they don’t fuck up this season because for me Blue Lock is the first sports anime that I’m actually invested in because of all the cool characters

He's saying cap because the animation is one of the main things holding the show back. It was mediocre in S1 and looks to be just plain simple bad this season from the PVs. This episode looked pretty decent but you could tell they were already doing animation cuts by panning to toothpaste and objects for like 5 minutes so they didn't have to animate mouth flaps.

Roshi said "as a professional meat eater--" This pairs well with "a way out" part 2 where roshi says to sheera in the game "im the bottom, you're the top". Hehhehehhhehe.
