Whenever Okarun transforms normal people can’t see his transformation form, just his regular human self, he looks normal, like his regular self to average human eyes

Think JJK or JoJo rules for this, normal folks don't see the spirits but people in tune/with powers do. When Okarun was running through the city with momo it just looked like a regular dude running fast giving a piggy back ride. As seen in the bathhouse though the damage they do is real though, so its not on some demon slayer shit

The subs kinda toned it down in how they translated it. "Violated and cut to pieces, /died irrational deaths" should have been "Raped and dismembered, senselessly murdered". But yeah basically, the whole reason Turbo Granny is out there stealing dude's dongs is because she's trying to avenge rape victims. She takes it too far by doing it to any male but she's a lot more sympathetic than you'd first think.

I would've been happy with just a goofy action romcom about fighting aliens and spirits but this story's ability to hit you in the gut outta nowhere is what put it in my top 3. I've seen more than one reaction at this point where there was some initial confusion of what that meant. Assaulted/Violated doesn't necessarily mean sexually so it being explicitly clear helps make the connection to her stealing dongs more obvious, though I'm glad Roshi picked up on it anyway.

I will give you that some panels in the manga have way more detail than the anime but that's literally how adapting it for animation works. You gotta save the budget for the stuff that matters or else you'll end up like Uzumaki and blow your load on one episode and struggle to stay consistent throughout the whole season. They could do what they did in Episode 2 and just show the Manga panel as a still frame with sound effects over it but overusing that would be worse than what they did here tbh.

For the explanation to what people can see, Sheera is right. They just see okarun in his normal form and Not his transformation. He may be using turbo granny's power, but it's still his physical body whereas the crab curse is a full-on spirit. Anything spiritual related requires some conditions to be seen by normal people but aliens can be seen by basically anyone. They can go unnoticed too though EDIT:- The first reply definitely skipped clearly stated details and hints while reading the manga. Looks like the "don't mess with DBZ fans they don't read" disease is spreading lol

TG momentarily threw away her great "motivation"... to race. If she can think, it kind of does matter if she chooses to harm innocents. Also, TG is not seeking revenge (at least not in a pure sense). She set up a trap tunnel and steals the penis of unsuspecting men (which presumably leads to their deaths). That is all she has been shown to do in reference to the dead girls. Revenge implies she goes out and harms the specific men who killed the girls. TG literally just lashes out for the "benefit" of someone else. Those people didn’t go to that tunnel because of the girls, they went because of Turbo Granny. Just her being there attracted people to the place, which she used as an excuse to violate men who had absolutely nothing to do with what happened to those girls. TG might’ve started out with pure motives, but it’s pretty obvious that she took a liking to attacking the living and killing uninvolved people.
