time to get the missing pieces

Comments

Dex-Star

What happend to episode 13?

Sarai

Brace yourselves this season is hilarious xD

Cory

They said it before, they are going to watch missing pieces then episode 13 because it fills in stuff from the first season, and afaik doesn't spoil season 1.

Limini

Horimiya are such cuties

Omar Bautista

I think they also shot themselves in the foot a bit by circling back. I think they never ment to make season 2 but because it was popular they made a second season with what they skipped over

TChang23

Hoping for a your lie in April trio reaction someday 🙏🏻

Asian Boi

It might seem like they were still skipping in this episode but its important to note that there were not many scenes cut from before miya got his haircut, because with this second season the whole manga is adapted.

bleach

This episode is full of freaks

Devin B

Thank you guys for listening to the requests, episode 13 of season 1 is going to feel more fulfilled when you watch this season. I wish I started it that way.

Anon7524

"I don't exactly know, I probably got that wrong" No Roshi, your explanation of the deal between the seasons was entirely correct more or less and thank you for listening to our movement 🙏

PyroPhoenix

Him and the teacher from what show? 🤣 I didnt hear the name well

uneedrambo

Season 2 is comedy all the way through imo better than the first

jaahman

Really wish they just implemented these episodes in the first season. Such a weird decision to skip content and add it all in another season.

Guess

The miyamura period jokes kill me everytime 😭😭

wavyesper

That's because they weren't expecting another season hence why the first season was rushed.

_monjiro

I think Roshi was talking about the freaky ahh teachers from Makeine.

_monjiro

I hear "him and that teacher from wa-ken should link up". But I've heard people pronounced Makeine as ma-kiin and ma-ken before. Plus the teachers were freaky in Makeine too so for me its the only one that makes sense.

KingdorismHD

The new patreon layout made me skip to the next video many times lol. I usually skip the 20 second intro from roshis videos

Dyastro

I find it funny that you guys are more familiar with a female teacher being a perv. Cause for most of anime history it was the male, and making it the female was a way to make fun of the trope. All these modern animes got you confused about how the trope works just like how "how the tables turned" eventually became "how the turn tables". It's to the point that people actually forget that it's a parody of the original, and think that's just how it always is.

N1ckv3n

I know I'm spamming this comment, but I really want them to watch Look Back Roshi, Look Back will be released on Prime Video on November 7th, an anime movie that adapts a one shot made by Tatsuki Fujimoto, who is the Mangaka of Chainsaw Man, please watch it because they did a great job 🙏🙏 I recommend you watch at least one trailer so you can understand how good it is (https://youtu.be/wkRR2VUsWfU? A name

The more mature humor: "My right arm blew up" lmfao

Kyle

I had to pause so I could do a screaming laugh into my pillows. It's 1 am.

Omar Bautista

21:20 Hey look they animated the Frieren animators

Monotone Type-F

There are still some things missing despite missing pieces, recommend to read the manga

Hotaru Ichimaru

Nah that teacher needs to be put on some kind of list. I swear from the first ep of season 1 he's only ever said stuff that's outta pocket

King of New York

Regarding the reason why they did "the missing pieces" instead of just adapting it normally, there are a few reasons I believe. Cloverworks is relatively a really new studio and used to have the old "Madhouse effect" where they would just adapt a series with only around 1 season in mind. Also, if you look at a lot of their anime from 2017-2021, although they all look gorgeous there's a pretty noticeable problem with cramming too much content and messing up the pacing. Horimiya season 1 came out in 2021 which was a REALLY big year for Cloverworks doing butchered adaptations/anime (in terms of story and pacing). It was the year they made Promised Neverland S2, Wonder Egg priority and Horimiya. However, in the last 2.5 years, I think they've noticed and have really changed things up. Bunny Girl Senpai finally got a sequel announcement after 5 years and they heard the fan outcries for all the skipped content in Horimiya and decided to make The Missing Pieces in 2023. All of their adaptations in the last couple of years now have not only looked great but have had excellent pacing and also sequel announcements (Spy x Family, My Dress Up Darling, Wind Breaker, The Elusive Samurai, Bunny Girl Senpai). It's pretty unusual for studios to make a sequel season that covers the in-between chapters they skipped from the manga, so honestly I'm just happy we got more content at all. I wonder if we'll ever get a "The Promised Neverland: The Missing Show"

Earphone Jack

Missing Pieces is so good! It gives others in the main group time to shine and that’s very much appreciated! Also after you finish Missing Pieces, y,all should react to My Happy Marriage. It will give you a break from the romcom genre as it’s a romance fantasy action drama and season 2 premieres in January. It’s really good and I think you two would enjoy it.

tobito

S2 is a lot funnier imo since s1 focused mainly on the dramatic parts of the story, while Missing Pieces gets to show more daily life which is naturally filled with more comedy.

Fizzy

they cooked with this season there’s way more character interaction with the main cast and love how sengoku is more outspoken and is actually way more funny compared to his season 1 counter part where he was much more reserved.

ShaquanVirse

Ive been waiting to watch this season with y'all so this all new for me too

Travis James

Chat are they ever gonna react to deadpool? Please say yes

Justin

No, they said they watched it in the theater when it came out

The Zany Spirit

When the hell did I miss an entire season of Horimiya?! One of my favorite romcoms and it went completely unnoticed by me? Shake my head.

Bloodcrusnik

My guess on what Toru meant about explosions in the summer is he's talking about fireworks festivals.

Devin B

I actually like this opening a lot because of how chill it is

AnnaSama

I really enjoyed this season. It feels a little disjointed (for obvious reasons) and I would have loved to see all of this is a 24ep first season, but I think these vignettes are even funnier on their own. Unrelated: PLEASE consider watching Shadows House. It would make a killer dou reaction. I know yall have to respond to the demands of the people, and the Your Lie people are going to riot soon, but Shadows House is fucking good! Worth having in your back pocket.

MiniBboy 92

YO i didn't know that there was a second season omg so happy to see it with you guys hopefully it covers some stuff that were skip in season 1

Asher Ealey

FACTS. Thats what made me like it so much. It was so good and it was so relatable too which made them even funnier.

Shef_Tailugon

wait is it just me or did they skip the final episode for season 1? unless they said they'd watch it with this season's finale? cause i swear there were 13 episodes

General Grevious

Nanami has more in common with Mei-Mei than I thought😂

KRYUSEI

“It’s summer, there’s meant to be a lot of explosions” Toru was talking about the summer festivals. There’s quite a number of festivals held in summer and when there’s big festivals… there’s fireworks.
