I'd been thinking that it was unlikely that the Archbishops were the ones who flooded the city and that's seeming more and more true. Regulus didn't do it. Capella was fighting Subaru and Crusch. Sirius was with Anastasia. Lye was chasing Otto. Roy was fighting Julius. All of the Archbishops were busy when the flooding happened. And they want things that are currently in the city. Flooding it and possibly destroying those things wouldn't be smart. There's definitely more going on than meets the eye.

Yeah, Beako couldnt do anything about the dog curses because there were too many of them, but since the lead dog died they werent really a threat anymore so she didnt mess with it just in case. The dragon curse pretty much said "theres only room for me"

Are you sure the anime didn't mention Al being from Japan, cause i fairly remember that being the case waaay back when subaru met Al and Priscilla the first time. It explains why Subaru was not that bewildered this season and assumed in his mind that the one who founded or part of the founding of Kararagi was also isekai-ed like him.

I can only assume it was Lye, because the area where he met Otto was the Gate area from where the water poured from. If u compare the previous episode at the end and the episode where the 2 met, its exactly the same. I can only assume Lye let Otto or didn't even think of him at all since this is the first time they've met each other. Physically speaking he's 10 times stronger and faster than Otto, given his fight with Rem.

Are you sure Al being isekai-ed like Subaru wasn't revealed the first time Subaru met Al in season 1 or whatever? Or at the very least not directly being told but hinted strongly? I say this because i remember myself having that assumption back in the past until it was solidified later on by LN etc.

It was cut content from season 1 that some people were whining and calling “spoilers” saying it would be revealed naturally in the show in a different way but it wasn’t. It was literally revealed in one of the clownzero chibi break time shorts

It's unfortunate that people like "HypeRec" and "King of New York" feel it necessary to put down folks who voiced their concerns. Even if you don't personally consider something to be a spoiler, if it wasn't in the anime and there's a chance it could potentially appear later on, I think it's reasonable to conclude that some people might see it as a spoiler. Most of the people who voiced their concern did so prior to the chibi short dropping, so in a way, the people who thought it might come up later were right.

Time constraints. I think it should be quite clear at this point that light novel adaptations are never 1-for-1, for better or worse. I was hoping they'd do what they did in S2 and almost always skip the OP / ED to squeeze a bit more in, but at least they've been skipping one or the other in most episodes.

It is NOT a spoiler in fact the show even covers it during an interim chibi breaktime episode instead of the main show. It is cut content from season 1 and will not be addressed in the series. Al being from Japan is established narrative at this point in the story.

@Friendly Elites - OP is referring to how Roshi was told about the Al thing 2 or 3 weeks ago, before it appeared in chibi breaktime. In my opinion, the web novel, light novel, manga, and anime should be viewed as different ways of telling the story. For example, the anime has skipped things that can't possibly be omitted entirely (like the ending of S2), so we need to consider that things might appear later. Just because something from the light novel doesn't happen in the anime at the same point doesn't mean it was skipped entirely. If there's a chance, we should be cautious. Although the Al thing wasn't a big deal, we can't blame anime-only fans for worrying that it might have been. I'm an anime-only fan who knows a few things from the light novels, but I knew nothing about isekai Al until a month ago. People assured me that it wasn't a major spoiler, so that made me feel better, but then, ironically, it came up in the chibi anime a few weeks later. I can understand why others would feel it was a spoiler, and I can understand why you'd disagree, but we should try to take anime-only fans into account before sharing info. You're right that it isn't a spoiler anymore, though.

I don't know where I fall as far as trusting Al. We haven't really spent enough time with him for me to get a full read. And it's interesting that Subaru linked up with Priscilla, who Al follows. After that scene with her just dicing up the demi-beasts, i was like "shit, let her be the next queen. She's out here with them crazy skills while Emilia keeps getting stuck places." Regarding Al answering at the end there, he says "What's this? I got a response." Which sounds like he picked up another of those metia, probably from another Witch Cult minion, and it just so happened that Emilia found Regulus' metia at the same time, making a connection.

We don't know why Al answered yet. The person Regulus was talking to before was Lust. For all we know, Al could've killed Lust off-camera and stole her phone, though that isn't likely.
