Isagi has the U-20 guessing if the person who has the ball is going to pass it to him or not based on his positioning. He's able to give more leeway for the person with the ball just by moving around accordingly.

Isagi is litteraly the only player other than Rin that had some real influence in the 3 goals Blue Lock scored Even Sae jumped in and said he was Blue Lock’s heart all along so saying he didn’t do shit is crazy… Even Ego said right after the first goal that Isagi was essential for Rin to play at his best He litteraly just started this whole play and still managed to get an assist while being marked by Sae, let’s chill on the disrespect💀

Manga reader here, I mean he got an assists, if he gets all the shine now we won’t be seeing 70% of the other characters. Bachira had one successful take on and we haven’t seen him do something of substance since the beginning of the match. I’m glad my glorious king barou isn’t being treated like that, save the side character activities for Isagi and Bachira until we need them.

The things is you don’t even need to be a hardcore soccer/football fan to notice that Isagi has been one of the most crucial players on the field if not the most crucial. The hate is clouding their judgment because if they actually paid attention instead of just slandering, they’d see that Isagi has played a key role in every goal Blue Lock has scored so far. Even Sae himself recognized this and called Isagi the "heart" of Blue Lock. But since they only care about who scores without understanding there are 11 roles on the field the finale episodes next week should shut them up

This is probably the best past about this show it doesn’t skip step is shows the thought process and work involved in getting to an outcome but some people think it drags a bit but I say it’s just their inability to be patient because in a lot of manga we see the results but rarely the process and if shown it’s rarely this interesting

I get where they’re coming from. To the casual eye it looks like Isagi is just out there running, but like… Isagi’s awareness and placement has literally lead to his team being in this game at all. It’s his goal pressure and consistency at being a threat to score and assist that has opened up everyone else’s shots on goal. Like the offense is running through him at this point and there’s nothing wrong with that. His footprints are all over this game. The opposing teams best defensive player AND offensive player have marked him as the true threat on the team. Rin is playing off him. Barou’s whole presence on the pitch revolves around him. Aiku has had him marked from the first goal opportunity and now Sae is wary of his presence… Isagi is blooming right now. U20 is literally having to give up marking superior athletes and better individual players because of Isagi’s vision & playmaking. He’s essentially doing a more cohesive job of what Sae is supposed to be doing on the u20 squad.
