That part where the son broke down sobbing to his mother for that one round where he got dragged off straight up choked me. I'm weak for the mother and son characters and I want them both to get out of this alive but that's not likely to happen. People gave the son a little too much hate for the situation that happened. There's a time limit, two desperate men hauling him off and blaring strobe lights that are designed to screw with everyone's cognitive function in a high intense situation. I'm not denying that the son was willing to leave her, but his immediate instinct was to freak out and turn to her. He's shown nothing but love for his mother, how proud he is of being her son and has done his damndest to keep her by his side because he's been nothing but worried for her wellbeing. That scenario was completely against him. Yeah he could a faught harder, but then that'd get him killed and the instinct to survive trumps a lot of things for a lot of people. If I was in his situation, it'd play out the same way because I don't want to die, period. Love that he decided to swap sides and go with X immediately after that traumatizing situation.

She was looking out for him because she knew he was weak and would get bullied and eventually killed by the other two druggies (look at what they did to Gyeongsu!) , but also felt he had a good heart and wouldn't stoop to purposely sacrificing or taking advantage of others to get ahead. His actions, as well as some of the others, just served to prove the point of the games and what the Frontman is trying to get Gihun to see-- very few people are actually as good, brave, or noble as they'd like to think. The games reveals just how cowardly, selfish, and greedy most people really are at their core when pushed to the edge.

how can you attempt to make a point on the basis of " i dont know you but I'll assume what you're saying is a lie". I think its quite believable that someone would choose to not want to live without their mother if they are that important to them. The sensation also would not be "I want to die with someone I love" it would be "I dont want someone I love to die alone while I leave them" which contextually I think is not the same

Roshi the son looks guilty because he voted to continue playing and despite being pulled initially, you can see the onset where due to the situation he gave up and made the choice to survive over going back to his mom. I find it incredibly hard to believe there is a circumstance where two men of equal size are going to drag you halfway across the world against your will and throw you into a room in 30 seconds if you actively trying to resist the entire time

I have zero of his skills or law enforcenent background but I was immediately wondering why he is continually going back to this man that just happened to save him and telling him everything. Why wouldn't it enter his mind that if his brother won't kill shot him, then he'll probably not want him to drown either and will send someone to rescue him? He seems completely incurious about how much he should vet people or watch what he says, while in S1 I really liked how smart he was about infiltrating the island and not getting caught for as long as he could.

Man the frontman gaining hella trust points with Gi-hun. Lowkey hard to watch cuz you know the backstabbing gonna come around 😭😭 Also i forgot to mention this in episode when Gi-hun was in the limo. Frontman was right when he asked him how is he gonna beat the games and shut it down. Gi-hun is not a strategist, has no real power, and did not make effective use of his money Like it's a reason that the games have been going on so long in secret.
