Yeah the actress is clearly doing things differently. Her mannerisms, her tone, her constant questions and staring at people...it would be super weird if it was Helly. Also, it makes sense for her to talk with the same disdain for her innie, because Helena definitely hates Helly as much as the other way around.

I don't know if anybody has said it before, but each of the letters (number categories) represent kier's four tempers: wo is despair, fc is joy, dr is fear and ma is anger! also, my two theories are that 1) that's definitely helena (she didn't know how to turn on her computer) and 2) lumon got a child as mr. milchick's replacement to make sure the group doesn't try to defy her or be violent (dylan biting milchick) but yeah this episode was incredible I'm so excited to know more!!

Ok theory time, the very end shows Mark and then switches from the bins to a screen with his wife's face. There are infographs with something that looks like vital signs, and the same 5 folders that have 4 subcategories that are WO, DR, FC, and MA. These are definitely the "4 tempers" we were told about in the Kier museum. Woe, Dread, Frolic, and Malice. The Eagan family theorizes that everything about a person is made up of a ratio of these emotions. And since the numbers are said to ellicit an emotional response, it seems to me they are programming or altering the brains of the severed people on the testing floor, those who are imprisoned at Lumon, like Mark's wife. It could have something to do with perfecting the human mind, cloning, mind transference to a new body, fixing a damaged brain, fine tuning the personality of an innie...I have no idea, but I'm sure at this point that they are directly messing with the brains of other severed people. Perhaps they want to access and control severed people on the outside, like the Senator from S1. (There is also a free e-book that is canon, it backs some of this up and offers more insight into Lumon and the things they're willing to do. Look up The Lexington Letter if you want to read it.)

Cloning has to be in play here, right? I keep thinking back to Season 1 with the room full of goats. Also, Mark and his sister have confirmed Gemma died and I would assume they burried her body. So, Ms. Casey could be a clone and Lumon's endgame is Immortality through cloning and transfer of consciousness? Also, Petey mentioned in S1 there's a department where the people never leave, and we know this is most likely the same place where the elevator that Irving draws leads to, and it's where Ms. Casey went. Final scene looked like Mark's work was sending data to a clone of his wife/Ms. Casey that's in "Cold Harbour". Maybe Ms. Huang (the little girl) is a clone aswell? Had to put on my Tinfoil hat for this one.

But anyway, my running theory is they've got a copy of Kier's brain on an implant and they're trying to perfect cloning to reanimate him. There was the whole goat thing, and everyone's pointed out already that MDR's actual job seems to be refining personalities through code... (Also, yeah, about 85% sure Helly is Helena. I wonder if the group ends up reintegrated this season and has to deal with those alternate perspectives.)

I think there probably still are mics and security cameras, but she’s also an op. I also wanna know how Milchick still has a job, let alone how he got promoted. His fuck-up in S1E6 was the beginning catalyst for them being able to break out.

The theory about Helly makes sense. I know at the end of s1 she got tackled so idk if that makes sense for her introduction to be a casual jog out of the elevator into a "did you wake up" without really showing much disorientation the way the other guy did by banging on the elevator. Of course I could just be looking too hard to justify the theory, but I think it stands well on it's own so far

Something to keep in mind, Mr. Milchick’s offer that the Innie’s can choose to quit is essentially telling them they are allowed to “kill themselves” (since quitting functionally ends the existence of the Innie self). What’s fascinating about inherent overarching conflict of the Innies is that (barring reintegration, which has its risks if recovery isn’t followed up correctly) their mortality is inherently dependent on Lumon (in the sense that Lumon’s technology/machines is what allows the Innies to exist in general). It will be interesting to see what the long-term goal of each Innie holds in regard to their mortality/existence. I could everyone except Helly being interested in the concept of successful non-fatal reintegration. While Helly I think would definitely not want to ever reintegrate with Helena. But I think Helly would be interested in being able to still continue her Innie existence outside of Lumon.

If you really think about it, it 100% is Helena and not Helly. Helly has no reason in the world to lie to them, while Helena has every reason in the world to do so. Given the circumstances, Helly would be the most dangerous out of all 4 of them considering she could quite literally do whatever she wanted with no consequences given the fact that the person she is on the outside is a person of power. After doing what she did, it makes perfect sense for the people in control to not want to give that kind of power to her other half. Helly wouldn't go in front of the world and say what she said and then lie to them about it. It would make the entire plan in Season 1 null and void to withold information, that and the fact that she doesn't operate the same. The usual sarcastic and witty Helly is no where to be seen. She's almost TOO serious.

My only problem with that theory is the outie should have come up with a better lie than a night gardener, especially because there was snow on the ground, which Helly wouldn't have known because she never left the gala and went outside. That lie only serves to raise suspicion and I can't see why being sus would be part of her plan. TLDR this is about to be fuckin wild, and I'm going to be losing my mind over the damn psychological mind games It's 100% Helena, she's a mole, and clearly still doesn't consider Innies as humans as she kinda snapped on Mark there. She didn't really seem to remember key things about the place like how to get around or turn the computer on(compared to Millchik's demonstration and her feeling around for it, both cuts right next to each other), and how she was so insistent about keeping the group together(to keep track of them, get every detail about what they saw, did, and were planning.) Also, Irv(Ex military brain) caught her in that lie and seemed suspicious of her though it was brushed aside due to his own disorientation and mix of feelings at the time. They're trying to also turn Dylan with the promises of his family since that was the main rebuttal he'd used against Millchik. Miss Huang I'm gonna say could possibly be Mark's daughter by Ms. Casey, and if so that's completely fucked, she might be some sort of new lineup of severance from birth or something, and they're fcking with his head by using her against him. I also remember that section about the wife who got severed simply to have a child, and later doesn't remember meeting Mark's sister. It's not a definite by any means but yeah. Millchik also seems to be off balance somehow as well, and doesn't seem to get along with Ms. Huang either just like himself with Ms. Cobel, but honestly effffff that man the actor is playing the shit outta that role and I hate it🤣. I wonder if this season will see Mark attempting to fuse his personalities with his Outtie, playing similar mind games once he catches on to Helena's deception. I also agree that their "job" with the sorting is fucking with memories of some sort, as I'm keeping in mind Lumen's ultimate goal is a sort of cult Oneness of mind, removing individuality and uniting everyone under a forced order. Ms. Cobel's warning was that Helly would disappear just fine, but everyone else will suffer so I expect that to be playing out in full effect just as we've seen with Mark's daughter put in arms reach but entirely set against him and his wife hidden/ Dylan's family being flaunted in front of him, and probably Burt at some point showing up and being used to taunt Irv again.

we know that the whole lumon organization has goals for world domination/control, and with their penchant for memory modifications and hinting of "underground cities", i would have to guess that this kid manager is some kind of prototype-product of the organization. i'm thinking that if it's true, maybe she specifically has some relationship to mark's MDR team, and her employment has been rushed due to the uprising. after all, that guy mentioned how no other team is actually completing their files, so maybe the board saw it necessary to reunite the gang to prove the product. if i REALLY wanted to assume shit i would say that the kid is some kind of clone of mark's wife whose mind is the result of the MDR work, but maybe im just racist and assuming the only two asian characters in the show have to be related lmao. this show is too fucking good.

The thing is, she has no idea what they could have talked about. It'd make sense to say nothing and to come up with some random story. Telling them what really happened only feeds whatever they are planning. Either way telling them also makes them suspicious of her, and not for the wrong reason of trust but because through the suspicion they could rule her out. If the mission is to be Lumons eyes and ears, you'd wanna be as close to them as you could possibly be when you go down there. Revealing what happened could drive a wedge between them which makes the mission harder. I have a hard time believing the Helly we know would give a shit about telling them, considering they all know her resignation got turned down and she was even down to kill her outtie self. I don't know, take it with a grain of salt but I think she's lying and that's not her.

It’s possible they have some kind of genetic testing/tech going on to maybe create and control people from day 0 to make the perfect employees or something.
