I wouldn't dwell on the 'them falling in love or dying' or him telling them about too much, he is not doing this to 'save them' he just got a lot of love to give. We are 200+ chapters and 32 girlfriends the threat of death isn't really a thing, it was just a clever/stupid set up for the show. Matter of fact as early as episode 3 with Shizuka he kind of realized he isn't doing it because of the curse at all.

One funny thing in the manga Hahari being under the bed was more hidden so it was actually a surprise to notice her there when they reveal it. I will never tire of 100 GFs comedy the slapstick and quick punchlines always get me.

Honestly we got 70+ girlfriends to go, I would not even be surprised if it happens at some point, it IS a popular anime trope after all. A good chunk of the Rentaro family are bi so we've already cross the line kinda. If they did it, it would likely be a biological girl that dresses or tries to pass off as a boy as to not be too controversial but still have a funny arc about it.

This far in the manga and Shizuka (along with Karane) are still in my top 5 best girls. It's wild how the OGs still get plenty of development and arcs later on, with Shizuka having the most development.
