It wasn’t Jin-woos aura they sensed it was the boss. The boss is a powerful magic caster and was able to manipulate the magic leaking out making it seem like the Gate was weaker. However, now that the boss revealed its full strength, the Gate’s real difficulty was revealed to those outside. Jin-woo’s presence doesn’t affect the gates whatsoever either. Red gates aren’t cause of him either. They were happing long before he got his power. They’re just unlucky pretty much.

jinwoo waited for so long to save him because he had to. After Kihoon got slamed he had no choice but to trust jinwoo. if jinwoo just killed them all without permission they wouldve thought they had some kind of chance against the orcs and maybe would be blaming him for "stealing" the dungeon. This fight was everything I had hoped. Animation team effin KILLED it. Unfortunately the Translation team REALLY effed this up. When Kargalgan (Tusk) glitched out it was supposed to be the first mention we get of the Monarchs/Lords. Instead we just get some line about "they wouldn't dare" which to anime only people is just gonna come across as random throw away dialogue. It completely defeats the purpose of having him glitch out in the first place. **EDIT** Please don't post spoilers in reply. Let's not spoil things for anime only people. This was just a big translation L that completely trivializes the system glitches.

The boss was actually suppressing his magic energy initially so after jinwoo saved the leader he released his full “aura” and that’s what the surveillance team felt and they tested the magic energy again to get its true rating ( it wasn’t jinwoo who made it an almost S rank dungeon, it was already)

Pretty sure it wasn’t a translation thing and they’re just trying to make it more ambiguous to have the viewer guess a little more. I was watching a different react channel and their translation was a bit different and during that scene he referred to him as “lord” in the subtitles. Also the “they wouldn’t dare” isn’t something I think anime only’s would chalk up to a throwaway line. The presence of a “they” itself signifies theres one or more people in back pulling the strings. It’s not as impactful as the original line but it gets the viewers attention.

Idk if anyone said/noticed this already but in rewatching S1, I realized that we've met some of these characters before. The healer with the green eyes from S2 E1&E2, and the two female magic users from this squad. They are having tea together in S1 Ep 6 I think. I just found it random and cool.

They determine the difficulty of the gate by measuring the amount of mana currently in the gate. The boss room was closed before and he was just chilling so they were only able to measure everything except that but now with everything exposed the difficulty would naturally rise.

I just want to point out that Jinwoo is not affecting the dungeons magic rating. In the Manwha and light novel they explain that both times were due to the Hunter Association incorrectly measuring the magic output because they're short staffed, lazy, faulty equipment, etc. Jinwoo is affecting the bosses in the dungeon (them glitching out), but he isn't affecting magic output.

Problem is it was already vague to begin with since its the first mention we get. Changing the dialogue to this in the middle of a super hype action scene where no emphasis is placed on it is far more likely to get overlooked or forgotten about entirely in the heat of moment. And again it completely defeats the purpose of the glitch even happening since this version of tusk's dialogue isn't explicitly revealing anything that Jinwoo isn't supposed to know or question. Also, "they" could easily be interpreted as Jinwoo and his shadows and the simple act of defying him.

just to correct some misinterpretations that i've seen a lot of other reactors have and that y'all have also had regarding this episode. 1 when Iron uses his taunt skill he did zero damage, if you look back at that scene it actually didnt work and he was annoyed lol. 2 jinwoo had zero effect on the rating of this dungeon, kargalgan(Tusk) having higher intellect masked his energy to make the gate appear on the outside to be low A instead of high A/borderline S and that flash of magic energy that reached the outside of the gate also belonged to the boss monster. 3. some of the words got switched during Kargalgan's(tusk) glitch so if you want to check out what it said in the manwha the chapters are 73+74

It's all very political as to why Jinwoo can't immediately help them. It has to be obvious that the whole strike team is about to get wiped out so yeah Kihoon needed to be roughed up a little first before Jinwoo can actually interfere. If he starts killing monsters before anybody gets hurt they can make the argument that he stole all the magic beasts from them.

Anime doesn't explain it very well. But it's very frowned upon in this universe to "poach" another guilds monster kills at some points to the detriment of the hunters themselves. That's why he asked him for permission to kill the high orcs before aswell. Another example is the scene were the guild master was contemplating bringing in other guilds to help but they really didn't want to.

Maybe I was wrong, but I thought that when they first felt the "real" magic power of the gate, it was because Kargal - Tusk stopped focusing on maintaining the seal and shifted his focus to Jinwoo. It doesn't seem like Jinwoo changes the gate level just by being there or anything, but maybe I'm off.

So it's not Jinwoo's fault the dungeon has a higher ranking... at 3:12 the boss releases his aura and it pushes itself out of the boss room freaking everyone out, then at 6:58 it has made it all the way out of the entrance to the dungeon just in time for the suits to feel it, and Cha confirms it had passed her at 7:25 when mentions the magic power that just knocked her hat off... all this to say that it was the boss who was hiding his power that caused the gate to be misread...

Unfortunately, I don’t think what y’all said about the ranking of the dungeon is correct. Based on the manwa and novel, the initial reading was wrong and it was the fault of the Hunter’s Association (not the first time it’s happened). This was not changed due to Jinwoo being there — Kihoon and the team would’ve been cooked if Jinwoo didn’t volunteer to carry for them.

The Red gate happens sometimes and this gate was the Boss suppressing the mana flow with his magic so the orc mage was a legit savage Sad the anime skips Sung power in detail so much, but the Monarchs Domain means his summons get's a 50% stat bonus in the circle and i think he said last episode that the higher his intelligence the stronger his summons get, but not sure ;)

Reason why Jinwoo wasn't helping til he did is the fact that he was an outsider in another guilds dungeon. Can't forget the guilds treat dungeon clearing as a business and if he interfered thats cutting into their profits. Thats also why he asked the captain for permission to do what he did.

It's funny, because just by optics the leader of the group seemed like your typical shounen "golden hero" -- very noble, honorable, brave, self sacrificing, etc. While in comparison, Jinwoo comes across as almost like a darker anti-hero.
